not trying to argue because everyone is entitled to their opinion and you have the right to dislike Nikko,it is a singing competition BUT wow, from this post you make it seem like Nikko has done something wrong to you personally. What's beef?

He isn't the best singer or performer BUT some people do like him just as some have liked others contestants that have already been voted out. I guess I'm saying that the intesnity of your dislike for the man confuses and astounds me

My "beef" is that Nikko shouldn't be in the top 12. He wasn't voted to the top 12 fairly like everyone else, because obviously he didn't impress enough people to get the votes to make it there. I just don't think it's fair that he gets a second chance, when no one else that was voted out will ever get a second chance. Lindsey and Mikalah (yes I said Mikalah), two of the performers that I actually liked, made it to the top 12 fairly, yet Nikko has surpassed them. I personally don't like his voice, his style, or the way he performs (ie the time he had to grab his privates when he was dancing). He just doesn't impress me and I'm just saying that he's one of the contestants I don't like and I would like to see him be the next to go.

What surprises me, is that I get called out for expressing my dislike for him, yet so many people here have expressed their "hatred" for Mikalah, and no one had a problem with that, most people just agree! I guess it's wrong to express your dislike for someone when you're in the minority, yet it's OK to express your hatred for someone who only a few people like? All I'm saying is that I don't like him as a performer. Mostly everyone here expresses who they like and don't like, so I see nothing wrong with me expressing my opinion. I'm not saying "I hate Nikko," because I don't. I don't personally know him, so I can't say I hate him as a person, and even if I did know him, hate is a pretty strong word to use.

I'm just glad that I'm not the only one who has noticed people saying "I hate Mikalah" and thought it was way out of line. If you find her annoying, fine...if you don't like her, fine....and if you wanted her to be the next to go, then fine, express those opinions and it won't bother me. But to say you hate her is horrible. I think anyone here would be upset if they heard someone they didn't even know say they hated them!

I'm not trying to start a fight here at all. I just want to be able to express my opinions about contestants without people getting mad at me for it. I liked Mikalah and so many people here didn't like her and expressed it, yet I didn't get mad or call them out for it, because it's their opinion and I can't change it. I just think it's crossing the line when people say they "hate" a contestant.

I didn't care for Nikko's recent performance. His performance was one of the cheesiest I had ever seen. To me, he just ended up looking ridiculous.


I'm rooting for Bo. He looks like a pro up there and definately deserves to be the next American Idol.

Nope, I agree with you. You have the right to express your opinion without people getting upset with you. So many people express their opinion about performers they don't like so you should have that right too.

I do disagree with you about Nikko though. I know you don't feel it was fair that he is in the top 12, but I think it was. They had to have a top 12 and Mario dropped out. So if you are upset that Nikko is in the top 12 then you should blame Mario...he is the one that left. And I also don't think that Nikko would have been gone to begin with if they had not divided girls against guys but that's JMO. But like I said you have every right not to like him and express your opinions. I don't have a problem with it personally!

Glad to see I'm not the only Nikko fan around here. I like that R&B sound that he has, and I would buy his CD if he came out with one.

If they hadn't done 6 and 6 this year, how many girls would have made it to the top 12? It's quite obvious that as an overall, the guys are far superior to the girls this year. I wonder if they tallied up the individual votes for the week when the top 12 was chosen, if maybe some of the guys had higher votes than the girls, but because of the 6 and 6 rule, they were out of Idol.

To say Nikko doesn't belong to be there is obviously untrue. If he didn't deserve to be there, wouldn't he have been voted out the first week? He hasn't even been in the bottom 3 yet, so let's give the kid a little credit.

You know, I dont agree with that. He was the 7th male performer and didn't make the final 6 for the men. Only women have been voted off since the tribal merge (oops, wrong show). But do you see my point? I dont think your argument is valid unless a male performer gets booted before him, thats where he was (at the time) placed as 7th not a final 6 competitor.

If that were to happen ( I dont see it personally unless Anthony goes before him) than I think your point has merit. But for now he stands where he did when it started, as the last place male performer.

I don't think Lindsey or Mikayla would have been in the top 12 if the format was the same as previous years. Unfortunately the guys are much stronger then the girls. If they would have followed the same format we might have had a final 12 that was 8 guys and 4 girls.

Two years Clay was voted off and brought back by the judges, if I remember correctly. Not to say that it will happen again this year, but one never knows with this show.

BTW, feel free to express your opinion! We all have our opinions, and not all are popular. I agree with your estimation of his "talent".

Two years Clay was voted off and brought back by the judges, if I remember correctly. Not to say that it will happen again this year, but one never knows with this show.

BTW, feel free to express your opinion! We all have our opinions, and not all are popular. I agree with your estimation of his "talent".

Clay was actually a "wild card" pick. That was when they had 1 show with the people who were voted off and you had one more chance to put them through. Clay got through on a wing and a prayer.

Yep. And I agree, Seacrest is a wee bit annoying...but I find the "banter" between him and Simon kinda funny.

Yep, George Huff was brought back last year because one of the contestants background check came back with something on it so they brought George back in his place. Look how far George got. He was there for weeks. He went pretty far and ended up doing a Christmas album which I heard sold pretty well and he is working on another album. I disagree with Shuis Fan. Nikko was brought back fair and square. He was the only other male singer left. I remember in the preliminary stages it was between Scott & Nikko and Scott won, therefore leaving Nikko as the only male contestant left.

I think it could be Carrie, Bo and Anwar or Nadia if they step up & choose the right songs. I like all of the remaining 10. It's gonna be hard to see them get the boot. I won't count Jessica out of the top 3 either. hmmm....

I agree with this, If they were put together I think Nikko would have been in the final 12.

I agree. I am a huge Nikko fan but I don't predict him making it to the top 3 at all. I don't know who I really predict at this point b/c, as you all saw from Nadia being in the bottom 3 this week, one off week could get you voted off. If they continue to do as well as they are doing I can see it coming down to Bo and Carrie and maybe Nadia. I have really grown fond of Vonzell lately too. I think she keeps getting better and better so you just never know what will happen. I really like Nikko but don't figure he'll be around after a few more weeks at most. I also like Scott but don't predict him being in the top 3 either.

I agree. I think Jessica has a good chance. She's the one who will come in from behind and people won't know she's been fast approaching.
