IMPORTANT PROGRAM NOTE CHANGE
Due to an error with the graphics shown on-screen (incorrect voting numbers were displayed) during the performance recap at the end of last night’s AMERICAN IDOL, a live, one-hour show will air tonight, Wednesday, March 23 9/8c on FOX, to enable a re-vote. This new show will combine new live elements with encores of Tuesday’s performances from the remaining 11 contestants.

Please please please may all the performances be just like they were last night. Mikalah would have been gone for sure... Oh please nobody screw up tonight LOL!

From what I read it says they are re-airing the performances but also adding in some "live elements"

Nadia's hair! I kept thinking over the past few weeks that her smile reminded me of a cartoon character, but tonight between the hair and the smile, I finally realized who it was. Now I really like Nadia and she's a beautiful girl, but she looked like MAX, THE GRINCH'S DOG! You know, when he's weighed down by that one big antler in the middle of his head?

I ust have to comment on this, I thought she looked like the Road runner. Especailly at the end when Ryan was giving out the phone number. She had a smile on her face that looked beak like.

Was not impressed with her version of the song, love her voice though.

Oh yeah that wa Donny! That was when I realized that he is the one Anthony reminds me of. He dances just like him!

I just went back and found your post, Nancy, that commented on Donny. I thought that was his son next to him. My DD knows how much I like Donny, so she was rolling her eyes at me when I paused the TV to make sure it was him! ...................P

I agree, it was great to see Donny in the audience! I was a huge Osmond fan growing up. Also, I'm glad that Fox is re-airing the performances from last night. It wouldn't have been fair to any of the contestants if they didn't allow for another vote.

The only down side, as some have mentioned, is having to listen to Mikalah again! If I sound like I'm bashing her, my apologies to anyone here who likes her; but I just don't see how she got this far (unless people are voting for her because she gives Simon some attitude). I have a hard time seeing her as an "idol", mostly because I don't think she's given a truly good performance since the auditions, and I was really routing for her at that time.

As far as the attitude, I understand that she's only standing up for herself when she talks back to Simon (or anyone else who criticizes her); but you have to know how to deal with criticism in the entertainment business without taking it personally. I don't think she's able to do that, and if (by some small chance) she would manage to win ( ), I think her temperament would turn her into tabloid fodder.

WOW, some show last night.

Firstly, I didn't even recognize Nadia. Said to DH....don't remember ever seeing this one. Even when he explained who she was, I was like "no way". Holy cow. And yes, I totally agree with whoever said "the grinch". LOL

I think Carrie and Jessica were the most notable performances last night. Also, as much as I hate to admit it because I simply do not like him, Nikko also had an unbelievable performance last night.

Mikalah is definitely out of her league and I said to DH - "she's going". No question about it. If she doesn't go tomorrow, it's just a popularity contest as far as I'm concerned. Yes, she's got spunk and character, but her voice just isn't as developed as the rest of the people in the competition.

It's a shame that they messed up and have to allow the voting to be done again. I won't be watching - even though Survivor is on an hour before. Just don't think I can sit through it again.

The only down side, as some have mentioned, is having to listen to Mikalah again!

DH and I agree 100%!!! She's been consistently bad since the auditions (sometimes it's painul to listen to her). When she speaks, her really bad Barbra Streisand impersonation makes us cringe.

You know, Jessica is really underrated! She is just as good as Carrie, but I guess because Carrie is prettier she gets more attention.

I wasn't a too thrilled with Constantine's song choice. It came off as kind of campy!

I liked Scott's song, and he really got into it!

Bo was awesome as usual! Anwar was just okay this time.

Mikalah seems like a petulant teenager.

Nadia was good, but i wasn't crazy about that song!

Anthony: OK, but not very exciting. He has a good voice, but really does sound more like a lounge singer than an American Idol. I was a Clay fan all the way. Anthony is no Clay.

Carrie: Wow! I think she did a GREAT job. Was really shocked at the strength in her voice.

Scott: He has a wonderful voice, but I just can't get past his look. I hope that he gets a fair shake and makes it to the final 4 or 5, but am afraid his "scary" demeanor and appearance are going to hurt him.

Bo: EXCELLENT! He is my favorite by far. I'm glad that he mixed it up with a ballad this week.

Nikko: I don't like that kind of music, but he did a good job. I wish he didn't think he had to modulate (up and down and up and down and up and down) his tone so much. That is just annoying. Much better than last week though - and no crotch grabbing!

Vonzell: Better than last week. She just doesn't do anything for me though.

Constantine: I am becoming MORE of a Constantine fan (and I wasn't at the beginning). I actually LOVE this song and think that he did an AWESOME job "rocking" it. DH and I were both very impressed.

Nadia: Yuck. Goofy hair. Bad song for her voice (too low for her range). Just an off night.

Mikalah: She flat out sounds like she's singing with cotton in her mouth. She was flat and had no enunciation at all. Yuck! Too bad about the number screw up. I think she would have been a goner for sure. Even the audience was unenthusiastic.

Anwar: Anwar! My guy! What's up with you, man? Stiff. Boring. Disappointing. You'd better step it up soon or you'll be gone!

Jessica: Wow! I liked this a lot. A very hard song to sing. I haven't been her fan, but think she did GREAT!
