Did anyone else get the creepy feeling they were watching Michael Jackson when Mario came out singin' and dancin'? And I don't get Scott. He's just weird. He's got a good voice, but I can't get past his beady eyes.

anyone here ever listen to the band The Pixies? Scott looks JUST like their lead singer, Frank Black. i thought 75% of the performances tonight were very good, but my votes went to Bo and Scott, cos they are the two i'm most worried about getting dropped from the competition

I agree. They seem like they might be the ones people would vote off not b/c they can't sing (I think they are both very good) but b/c people might be judgemental and vote them off based on their image. Sad, but true. But honestly, I don't think they are getting voted off this week. I think they are around for at least one more week...esp. Bo, b/c he seemed popular tonight.

Bo is my favorite so far. Scott is good too though but I don't know how far he can make it. I like Joseph's voice but he needs to liven it up a bit.

I missed that! When did he say it? I know I wasn't to impressed with him tonight. He really picked the wrong song.

Well here's my review. I scored them on a scale of 1-5 with 5 being the best.

Nikko- I really liked him. His voice is OK but his stage presense is great. He got a vote and was my DH's favorite of the 12. Score: 3

Scott- He has a great voice but sang the wrong type of song. Score 3

Anthony- Another guy with a nice voice but a bad choice. Score: 3

Bo- Oh my, what can I say about Bo. Great voice who sang a difficult song. Easy on the eyes and moved around the stage like he owned it. Got my vote! Score: A 5 all the way!!

Travis- Best looking of the bunch. Not enough though. Score: 2

Constantine- I just think he's got too much experience to be on this show. I thought it was suppose to be for people who wanted to break into show business, not those who have had stage exposure and come with a fan club. His voice is nice and if it had been anyone else I would have given them a higher score. Score: 3

David Brown- If you can't say something nice, say nothing at all. Score: 1

Jared- Mediocre voice and a song I never heard. Score: 2

Anwar- Wonderful voice but alittle too much interpretation to the song he sang. I did vote for him however. Score: 4

Judd- Energy Plus! A pretty good voice too. With so many of the songs tonight threatening to put me in a coma, this was a pleasant change.
Score: 4

Joseph- Dreadful song and poor presentation. Not the worst but close. Score: 2

Mario- I really think he can sing but you would never know it by the song choice. He also sounded like he was hyperventilating. Good to great command of the stage. Score: 3

Bring on the ladies!!

I have to say, Bo and Anwar have been the most consistant, IMO. Most of the guys last night just picked the wrong songs. Those were the ones you sing to get INTO the 1st round. I really like David and Mario also though, but I think I'm behind Bo this year, although I just don't see the judges allowing him press on further. He's just not your 'cookie cutter' American Idol.

I'm definitely rooting for Anwar. He really knocked it out of the park last night Also, Nikko was very good, and is very cute. Travis is a babe, but he really let me down last night. Constantine is very pretentious IMHO. I mean, did he HAVE to unbutton his shirt so we could see his 3 "chest hairs"?! Whatever. The guy with the red pants (Judd?) is very entertaining, I'll say that. I just hope that he isn't a 1-trick pony. I guess that time will tell. Bo is good, but I just don't feel an attachment to him as a contestant yet. The others were just forgettable. That blond Russian guy actually chose a Michael Bolton song. WHY?!

I'm looking forward to seeing the girls tonight!

Well, I went into this show routing for Mario and Anthony. I have to say, I did really like Mario, but didn't feel he was the best last night as the judges were saying. I was disappointed in Anthony. I started thinking, "Well now I know why he sang the same song twice in the early rounds". He just wasn't that good on that song.
I also really liked Bo (much better than Constantine, IMHO) and I felt pressed to vote for him to counteract C's apparent huge fan base. Bad news: I got through for Bo 5 times in a row with no busy signal, never a good sign. I tried 25 minutes for Mario, and only got through twice.

My predictions for who will leave:
Joseph or Jared (50/50)
Bo

Who I think SHOULD leave:
Jared
Joseph

Ok, Anwar has braids and extensions not dreads. Dreads are thicker, more coarse, and not as long.

I love love love Anwar, but its driving me nuts that people are calling them dreads.

We looked last night and those were definately dreds. They are thinner than what most dreds are but they dreds. The other guy has braids.
Yes, we made a point to check out his hair and we were all in agreement! LOL

As far as the show it was pretty good. I agree with the judges that alot of them played it safe. I liked Anwar, Bo and Mario. Looking forward to see if the girls mix it up any.

i was disappointed with the safe type of songs the guys sang. the livelier songs amazed me!

there are four guys that have won my heart. a couple of them picked the wrong songs tonight to display their talents thought.

the four i am following are:
bo
judd
scott
constantine

in no particular order.
i think judd and bo did their best with the songs and showed themselves in the best light.
i adore scott and constantine but grieved over what and how they sang.
scott could have picked a snappier song that showed his range.
constantine was out of key at times but made up for it with his charisma.

i would be happy if those four make it down to the top 8.
i voted for all of them but concerned it won't be jared, travis or nikko that leaves on wednesday.

looking forwards to hearing the gals tonight.

Bo sang a great song for his voice...I'm so glad that others agree with me. He is so much better than that overhyped Constantine!

yes, on wednesday we will find out who makes the cut.
the lowest vote getters are eliminated.
the bottom two girls and boys leave on wednesday.

this season is being run different than the others.
males perform one night, ladies the next and the third night the public is informed of who departs from the group

Just had to chime in...I usually don't watch but wanted to say I am routing for Nikko. He is the son of the great former baseball player Ozzie Smith of the St. Louis Cardinals. One of the greatest shortstops!

Cally, I heard Constantine tell Randy to stick to rap too. I thought it was hysterical. I don't know, sometimes I think the judges have cotten in their ears. I definitely did not like Mario's choice of song. I voted for Bo. I'm new to this though, never voted before, and didn't realize I could vote for more than one person, or more than once. If I had known, I would have also voted for Scott and Constantine.

after nikko sang, simon made the comment to nikko, "after six more singers, you won't be remembered." something in that train of thought.

at first i thought how cruel as nikko did a strong performance. after bo sang, i told my son, how true......i couldn't remember nikko being a shining star then.
