Omg... Stevie Wonder should've gotten residuals last night!! I thought it was a theme night!!

Okay, I would love to marry Travis... hubba hubba, Denzel singing...what a dream... but he should be in the lower two tonight. My two faves were, surprisingly, Bo and Mario. My all time fave is Anwar, he rocks my world!

As for the dreads versus braids debate, a closer look at his pic shows that they look like old braids, which look like they have frayed a bit which gives them the dread look.They are braided extensions that are burnt on the ends to keep from unraveling.

I am SO pulling for Scott even though he isn't my #1 fave. Let's take that emotionally abusive father down a peg or two and see Scott go far. However, I just can't get past the idea that he looks like a serial killer! Love Bo and Anwar and Anthony. Can't decide between them. The rest were ok but I didn't find Mario or the guy they all said had charisma (what was his name anyway?) all that great. He reminded me of Nick Lachey who isn't nearly as great as he thinks he is.

Thank you Robin! I thought Anwar needed his hair "redone". I have somewhat limited AA hair knowledge but they sure didn't look like dreads that I have seen.

Travis.. he is cute though. My friend married a guy who is a dead ringer for Travis. (of course she is gorgeous too). I ran into them on Sunday, and I saw someone giving this guy a double take out of the library. I wanted to say (Its not Travis.. but I didnt)

i am less excited about the girls tonight, but of course i'll be watching nevertheless. the two i'd like to see go from last night are Constantine and Joseph, and the two I voted for last night were Bo and Scott. I really DO NOT like the drift away song, but Bo was so much fun singing it that I actually found myself enjoying it

I can't believe Simon just said what he said about coming back in his next life as that Las Vegas girl's microphone. Normally I like him, but geez . Seems kind of inappropriate even for him.

DH watches AI and I half listen to it while I am on the DIS. I had to come here and say that Carrie Underwood just made me turn and watch her. WOW! Her performance was amazing.

Well, I have only really been blown away by Carrie but I anticipated that. I know Mikalah has a lot of fans but I'm in the half that find her annoying (as Simon said). I see her and think "Fran Fine" from the Nanny. She's nearly as nasal and talks too fast just like the Nanny. Yuck.

Overall, I was not as impressed with the girls tonight as much as I was with the guys last night. But my favorites were: Carrie, Nadia and Aloha.

Anybody else notice that Constantine was the only one of the guys who looked bored to be there?

My three picks, too. Aloha was the best, I think, which shocks me because I think Beyonce is one of the most overrated singers on the radio today. That being said, I think it was the fact Aloha was different (as was Nadia) that I liked her so much. As for Carrie, she's got the best "power vocal" voice of the group this year.

And, although she didn't sound great, I hope Amanda Avila sticks around...she's nice eye candy for me.

As for Mikalah (or however you spell her name) - I'm definitely in the camp that thinks she's annoying and defintely in the camp that thinks she can't sing. Maybe it was just her 70s disco song choice, but she kinda reminded me of a drag queen. <----Is that too mean? I don't know. Just my opinion - Sorry if I offend.

RyMickey, Mikahlya totally reminded me of a drag queen as well! probably didn't help that i only know that song from Baz Luhrman's 1996 version of Romeo and Juliet, where it was sung by...a drag queen.

So I guess I'm the only one who thinks Carrie Underwood, like Constantine, is totally overrated. My votes tonight will go to Nadia, Vonzell, and Jessica (i think that's her name....she sang "against all odds." not one of my favorites like Nadia and Vonzell, but I think she's got a lot of potential and I want to hear her perform again, and I'm concerned she might not make the next cut.)
