Official Amazing Race 25th No Spoilers

I am loving the bike girls!! They seem to really work well together and are level headed and for the most part, calm.

And who doesn't love Bethany and her "figure out how to make it work" attitude. Her husband is a little strange but they seem to fit well together.

I missed the fact that they're married. I thought they were still dating.

I could NOT BELIEVE that Bethany did that roadblock with one arm....I've done a ropes course (like 2 stories high, not in a mountain range) and it was hard with 2 arms to balance on the wires, I just can't imagine how she did it with one, and switching the caribeners without holding on?

I like the bike girls, they are a strong team.

Can't stand the dentists. The eyes are weird and the fake tan, the bulked up muscles, I'd be freaked out if he were my dentist with those eyes. They remind me of the couple a few seasons ago who had the Express pass and didn't use it, with the surfboard challenge....that couple was so cocky about how they were going to dominate, etc, and got sent home, with an Express Pass in their possession!

She is a beast. I think the surfing professionally goes a long way towards making it possible. She did some intense rehab and then continues to supplement her surfing with core strength to compensate for the arm. Amazing!

We finally saw last night but had to do the on demand feature of our new cable. Happy with the results. Did the regular episode get a generic preview? On demand just previewed the rest of the season.

Did anyone notice that the dentist guy was EATING the apple he was supposed to give to the horse while he was riding in the carriage?? I don't know if he had an extra apple or if he ended up giving the horse a half eaten apple. :confused3

I got the season preview too. Usually when they do that it means there won't be a new episode next week or even maybe for a couple weeks. I don't know for sure though.

I didn't see the dentist--I sAw the wrestler spouse, I believe. I was fully expecting accountability.

And I'm bummed if there is no AR this week. Boo.

^^Whoops, perhaps it was the wrestler guy. I'll admit it flashed so fast I didn't get a good view of who it was. I just know there was apple munching involved.

Saw that, too. (wrestler) No AR??? Whyyyy? (read in a whine, please!)

My DVR has it scheduled to record this Friday. Season 25, episode 7, "Pretty Fly for the Food Scientist".

I'm still hoping for a miracle where the firefighters come back and win it all. If that doesn't happen, I'm never watching again.

Until next season.

Too funny! :lmao:

As for me, even though I loved the firefighters (& I'd love an update on that ankle, btw), and even though there's currently no team I particularly dislike, I can handle anyone being eliminated now. The mere fact that the realtors went first is enough to save the season for me.

I totally missed the apple munching. DD has been replaying AR episodes a lot though, so I'll have a chance to catch that soon.

We noticed the apple munching also. We assumed he asked for an extra apple like he asked for food while in Copenhagen. He must be hungry!

Still healing, as of three weeks ago.

::yes:: Just checked ctv.ca and Amazing Race is scheduled for this Friday. I don't have a clear favourite this year (unless it's the scientist, since my daughter is one of those, and about their age), and, while I can't stand to look at the dentists, they have some good qualities mixed in with his high opinion of themselves.

I think I would like the dentists a little more if they would not have the save. I still think they should have had to use it on the non-elimination leg...kind of like an immunity idol in Survivor...you never know if you should use it or not. If they were on more even footing with the other teams I think I would like them a lot more.

I can tolerate the female dentist fine. The male dentist has turned me into an anti-dentite.

Great line: "Now we just have to find a way to break tgeir kneecaps"! Almost ona par with, "My mule is broken".

I knew it would be such a leg.

And boo to two weeks!

I would have been such a slow driver in those to carts. Curves freak me out.

The episode ended the way I thought it would. I was kind of surprised that none of those doing the painted switched to the opera detour. The painting looked really hard and uncomfortable. The roadblock looked fun!

It stinks that it won't be on for two weeks. Boo!

Finally got to watch it this morning, and get back on the DIS. ;)

I don't mind curves, but I'm not crazy about high speeds, so I would have been as slow as you! I told DD I would have not been able to do that, and DD told me, "Mom, you couldn't do anything on the Amazing Race." (Paraphrased.)
Gee thanks, lol.

I'm still really enjoying this season. So many nice and fun contestants. Even Jim seems finally to be mellowing out a little. I think I saw him crack a smile and he seemed to be genuinely enjoying himself. Maybe he was just shy or nervous before. :p
