Official all things Princess Half Weekend 2015 thread! DOoneY and offical mErcH on DisneyParksBLOg

Oh and I'm in M, again. M for MICKEY!!!

Do you remember how much time is between corrals? I feel like last year it got a little longer as the corrals got bigger? Just trying to figure my cushion from the balloon ladies. Theres no reason I should need it this year (unlike last year) but its nice to know to reassure myself if any injuries pop up. They will be 7 corrals back from where I start, so I am assuming about 21 minutes ~3 min/corral?

Corral K for me and my running buddies!:cool1: Actually, 2 of the 8 are in J but will come back with the rest of us in K so we can all be together:thumbsup2

Good luck to everyone - 3 1/2 weeks to go:cheer2:

The Mrs. and I are in corral B. I'm hoping this will elimate the amount of "traffic" in the bottlenecks along the course.

I see there are waivers for adults and children posted for Pasta in the Park and the Breakfast. Do my parents and 4 year old child who aren't running in any races really need to sign waivers to attend one of these events?

Woo Corral B here! :goodvibes I wasn't sure if I was going to be thrilled with the Frozen themed everything this year, but the program looks really nice.

I think I'm mostly excited about being in warm Florida at the moment. I am such a Florida girl and hate winter and the cold so I haven't run outside since November. Thankfully I'm probably one of the only people to enjoy treadmill runs. I'll do 10 miles next week with nothing but my phone for music and not get bored at all haha :upsidedow

I missed the LAST corral. Woohoo for O!

Will there be corral assignments for the 10K?

There will be assignments for the 10K and the 5k…it will be on your bib. Last year GSC had two letters on the bib for example "A/C" meant Corral A for 10K and C for half.

Got the Magic band today! Now to finish my costume. That has been more of a marathon, but hope to have it done soon. I actually thought I wouldn't run again, but my 21 year old son wanted to dress up as Burt and Mary Poppin's from the Jolly Holiday scene so I have been busy creating. He really thought I should be able to buy the striped fabric that makes Burt's coat, but I said I had no Disney costume connections so we would have to create it. And the dress has a lot of detail. We should have fun, we will be starting in C.

:cheer2: I am bouncing off the walls! So happy to have corral assignments....I'm in L! So thrilled by this! Now, I am getting really excited for this weekend!! princess:

Awesome:thumbsup2 Thank you for this.

I had just pulled up my Garmin history from last year and I started at 5:49 last year in F. Not sure if they are that consistent or just a coincidence, but either was I feel good about starting over 30 mins in front of the balloon ladies.

Gotta get going on my costumes I just ordered the "Evil Fairy" tank from RawThreads for the 10k. So that costume is complete. The 5k I have my bottom, but need my top (Anna from Frozen - daughter is Elsa, Mom is Olaf) The half I'm dressing in all white Princess Leia style. Have a skirt, need to get a tank and practice my hair buns! 3 weeks from now I should be at the expo right about now!

H for me :-)
Does anybody know about the clif bar pace team? It says 2:30 and 2:45 is offered - does 2:30 run in G?
Any chance to catch up?
Thanks :-)

To the bolded: ditto! We land at MCO in the morning on the 19th and will head to the Expo after we do a brief check-in at POR. Our room probably won't be ready that early, so we'll be in no big rush that day. It'll be nice to actually get to spend some time checking out the Expo on the first day. We were really rushed last year since it was the last day of the Expo, and we were so sensory-overloaded that we just wanted to get the heck out of there ASAP.

Corral J here. I also noticed the difference in park hours (I think it's safe to go by the website hours over the itinerary), and the various grammatical errors. Oops, runDisney. Just glad we got some info! Three weeks to go! :thumbsup2

These are pretty accurate. I was in Corral P for the 1/2 in January, and my Garmin says I started around 6:37.
