Excited for my first Princess Half Marathon Weekend. Running the 5k and 10k. Has anyone here done the Breakfast afterwards? Wondering if its worth it.
I want to share with all the newbies and old friends, alike. I ran my first PHM in 2013 at the age of 51. I had come back from marathon weekend the month after doing the 5K so excited. Then I was dumped by my SO. These boards helped me get through that awful time. Since then, I have developed friendships and have gotten such support from a bunch of "virtual friends" that really had a profound impact upon me. So, if you're running solo, please know you are never alone. I have met some of my best friends, yes, in person, via these boards. Rock on, everyone!!
They seriously are trying to hurt me. Lol. Anyone win a lottery & share with me?

This isn't going to sell out within minutes, right? It's not like buying concert tickets is it? I'm a little nervous now about not being able to register until I get home from work!
Can anyone speak to the idea of staying at Bonnet Creek Wyndham for the race? I have stayed there before and loved all the space, didn't mind renting the car for to and fro, and it ended up being cheaper than staying on property. HOWEVER, I have no idea how much of a hassle it would be for race weekends. I know the Hilton offers transportation for the race and Expo but didn't see anything for BC.
There will be 5 of us so WBC would allow for all of us to room together and really save some cash on accommodations if I can talk the others into staying off property.![]()

As PPs have mentioned, in regards to $, at what point does the madness stop. At some point, these race will become cost prohibitive. How were the shirts last year? Womens cut, true to size, were you able to exchange them for a different size?

I got all 4 shirts and I normally wear a large, they were a little snug. I would have prefered an XL in the womens cut for the 10K, 1/2 and GSC. the 5K shirt was pretty standard unisex cotton T. I got a large and it was ok. Yes you can exchange them for different sizes. I didn't because we were in a rush and I'm kicking myself. It could. Wine and Dine, Avengers and Star Wars all sold out pretty fast. Avengers and Star Wars are new to the circuit though, so those sell outs don't surprise me. But I was shocked at how fast Wine and Dine sold out.
