I thought I would take a page from annewjerz and start a thread for the new 50... the 28mm! Personally I only have a Takumar 2.8 mounted on my Kx, heck I don't even know if its an M or an A lens. Personally I don't care ... yet! Lol. Personally I love the focal length it gives me indoors. I just wish I could get a couple more f stops on it, like 1.7 would be great! Any way here is where we can display some photos with this versatile lens size!

I'll lead the way with a couple of pics of my daughter painting my model of Star Treks USS Reliant.... I'm no pro, show me what this focal length can do!

do you control the aperture though the camera or is it by a ring on the lens?
A series are aperture priority which means you can use the camera to set the aperture. M & K series use the ring on the lens to control aperture and the true Takumars require and adaptor to use on the K mount cameras.
I have to tell the truth I dont use my A28 as much as I could, it should go back in my rotation more.

I'll play with it tomorrow to find out. I have an A 50mm and havent tried to set it to the A setting... so I'll compare both manana...

Another stab. No Editing done on this and shot in JPEG. Just picked up a Pentax SMC M 28mm f2.8 and love it so far. I put my Takumar up on Fleabay cause I don't need 2 28mm... but apparently I need 3 50mm after looking at my lens stash! This was the first pic I took with the lens.
