Official 2025 Universal Studios Orlando HHN 34 Discussion Thread

Thursday run through, again stay & scream & standby

Fallout (was better, saw ghoul a couple of times. pantomimed 'drawing' on him, he responded in kind:))

Galkin (need to go thru again, distracting screamers in front & behind us)

dolls (poo smell? rather strong The odors don't generally bother me house better than expected)

hatchet & chains (low budget good. fun to pick out several reused props from years past)

water projection show seemed to have been tweaked? or not. my feet enjoyed the down time

terrifier (an even better run thru than 1st night)

el artista (pretty house, something about a painter. need to go thru again, a bit slower)

Highlight of evening: saw art in the wild 🎅with his sack & axe

we were leaving NY scare zone & he just turned corner to enter it. He was moving really fast, almost running

had at least five security guards trailing after him in a semi circle

he came up to us & did his ssssh with finger to mouth, as he darted past

Didn't take long for the crowd to spy him & chase with cameras out😳. This IS why we can't have nice things

did Sea World Howl o scream tonight A big contrast to HHNs slickness, but always uncrowded and laid back
Been away for a few weeks - glad to come back and see that it sounds like you enjoyed it more this year than the last couple (unless I am mistaken) - looking forward to going based on everything I have seen.

The art the clown thing is unfortunate - seems like too many folks re just chasing him down with their phones out.

Would like to do sea world this year but not sure that will happen with the cost of the HHN ticket with express - spending more to go to SeaWorld and losing a night of HHN with express does not make sense to me. Still really enjoy the SeaWorld event though.

Just upgraded my express to unlimited for tonight for only $30 more!! Now I can do FNAF more then once!
Hey where did you upgrade? Which guest services did you use ? I’m still hoping to try this Sunday morning, but unsure where I need to go . Thanks!

Th
Any guest services can do it.. I used the one in city Walk as usually short linet
Thank you , thank you so, so much!!! I woke at 7:59 this morning, no alarm clock-body must’ve just known get up. Even after being out at Howl-o-scream past midnight. Went to CB ticket desk and got unlimited express!!! Thank you for advice to try hotel desk.

Long, hot, humid night. Not sure how I feel about it all yet. Still recovering . Just about can’t walk. Haha. I was not in shape for all that walking! Lines were very, very tedious even with express. First year not doing stay/ scream etc, so just entered event regular time, and that’s definitely a disadvantage. Last year we’re back in hotel, done around 11:30 . This year , still had 2 houses left. Last year was very rainy, so probably drove people away. I don’t think I’ll dp this again without stay/ scream. You get so much done during that time .
Overall, Some fabulous houses, a few good / good enough, but also a couple of complete duds for us. Maybe dolls was good, but we caught it on a cast change. There were 3 scare actors on the whole house for our walkthrough, and tons of empty space..I thought we were going to have same thing at Galken.. both Dolls and Galken we were held as the next group as cast change happening. Some empty spots in Galken, but not as many .i would’ve liked to do another walkthrough of it. I love the theme, but was somewhat disappointed in it. DS is a fan of FNaF, did it twice and liked it. He also liked the Fallout house. I’m pretty sure he’d have done that one again if it wasn’t in the back of park, and we were all the way in the front at 1am. That’s when we finished last house, 1am. With only one repeat at that time. . DD loved Terrifier. Did it 3 times. It was such a gory house, but well done esp if you’re a fan. I liked Jason the best I think just for nostalgia, and for real that was like childhood nightmares come to life. I grew up on those movies, so just to be in the woodsy , camp setting , with the music and him lunging out , was so scary. I did El Artista twice, I guess that’s my favorite of the originals. Had plans to try all kinds of food/ drinks but didn’t work. Did get yummy pizza fries though, and one drink in a souvenir cup. Lines for food mostly crazy long until later in the night. Overall, still enjoyed it. Just so humid, slow moving express lines at several houses, crowds etc hoped to get more done, but just ran out of time. I guess best solution is just do more nights! Maybe next year . Thanks for all the planning tips/ info here.

Using ‘park math’ and subtracting HHN EP, SW worked for us lol. It’s such a low key, yet enjoyable event vs HHN. We joke and say it’s our “rest day” of the trip.

Helped that I finally managed to book the Magical Dining diner @ sharks, got us into the park @ 2:30 pm. Had let our SW APs go last year in December.

Not planning on picking up APs or fun cards there until whatever Blue Friday sale to cover our upcoming Dec trip and next year.

Probably letting the U APs go too & pick them up next fall. Hope it doesn’t bite me with issues trying to book EPIC without them in hand this summer with the GD. Maybe by then they will have some sort of AP that includes EPIC in some fashion!

Have decided we aren’t doing Saturdays @ HHN any longer as such a zoo, well unless we’d have some sort of EP or RIP. Other than that issue, we had enough days using strategies we fine tuned on our first night and had a great run.

The Scarezones were the issues for me the last few years. Was nice to see the cat lady one step it up. I’m old skool, hate they’ve morphed into social media fests. Is what it is, you zig when they zag and enjoy more time doing something else.

Other than the Mr loving Terrifier (and never sitting thru more than 10 min of any of the movies lol), pretty much our consensus too!

(Almost) Ashamed to admit how many times we went thru Jason house. Surprisingly, the last scene was quite interesting several times with great, personal interaction from the scareactor.

Elaborate houses load the bases, the scareactors hit it home!

So I am back from my trip and had an AMAZING time. I skipped Terrifier and WWE (again, just not my thing), but I did the rest of the houses and even did Jason, Galkan, and FNAF twice.

My rankings are:

1) Jason 10/10: This was easily the best house of the night. I did it once and then immediately got in line again. I felt the scare actors were really on their game and knew what they were doing. We got stopped in the house at one point and one of the hockey mask Jason's got right in my face. Then the one of the other side came out at me as well. Just SO good!!!

2) Galkan 9/10: Another amazing house I did twice because it was so good. Loved the theme and the costumes and the makeup.

3) FNAF 8/10: This house is not scary, but if you are a fan of the lore, games, and movies, then it is an amazing house. So I am ranking it based on that. I love the FNAF lore so seeing all the little details was great.

4) Dolls 7/10: Had some good scares here and it really creeped me out.

5) Hatchet and Chains 6/10: Think I just had a bad run on this one. The scares were not great, though the scenery and details were pretty cool.

6) El Artista 6/10: Same as Hatchet and Chains. Think it was a bad run plus it was the last house of the night and my longest wait time with express. The line was NOT moving.

7) Fallout 5/10: First house of the night for me since it opened earlier then the rest of the back of the park where I started. It wasn't a bad house, just average for me. Not a ton of scares and I don't know the games or TV show well enough to have the background for any details.

8) Grave of Flesh 1/10: This is a personal rating and not based on the house itself. I HATED this house. It triggered my claustrophobia bad and I nearly had a panic attack. Only house to do that. So I honestly wasn't paying much attention to the house itself.

I' glad you are enjoying your HHN Universal/Disney trip! I have heard that Sea World's Halloween nites are really nice and a refreshing change from Uni's HHN? Enjoying your trip via this site:)
