Official 2025 Universal Studios Orlando HHN 34 Discussion Thread

I'm so exited for it.

Couple of things I hope it has.
Yeah - I think it will be cool - I have zero interest in WWE but look forward to this house.

Going to be a very interesting year.

All the IPs have their own VERY dedicated fan base - not sure we have seen something like this before,
In the past they have been cool IPs but mostly general interest IPs - I feel like Jason falls into that general interest category.
What I mean by that is most HHN fans are interested in Jason.

A lot of folks who will be checking out Epic still - so Id assume that might also increase HHN interest.

Then on top of that so many folks saying this is going to be the best HHN in a long time and that will drive interest.
I cant recall the last time I was looking forward to a scare zone - I guess Vamp 85.
There are several this year that look really good.

I'm thinking the crowds will be insane this year - even more than peak stranger things.

If you have Peacock, there’s a very interesting documentary in the WWE section about Bray Wyatt.

So excited for FNAF, less so for WWE. Though I do think they may be able to do something cool with the WWE if they focus on the story of the Sicks. They kinda remind me of the triplets last year honestly. Still going to second to last on my house list but that is because everything else is so good.

Now that they have announced all the houses and zones, a planning question for you all. FNAF is my single most important house to hit. I love the lore and story behind it even if it can be convoluted as heck. I do not have stay and scream and I DO have express. Would you go to do FNAF first? Even though it will likely be a popular Stay and Scream options? Or would you do some other houses and then head over? If the last spec map is correct, then it is going to be in New York with Terrifier and Grave of Flesh.

I would to the back of the park where the new tents are and do them. You are going to be way behind all the stay and scream people for the soundstage houses. Then you can work your way back to soundstages. If you’re willingly to stay late, might be able to get multiple runs in post midnight in addition to your 1 Express run.

We also don’t know how the Rip Ride Construction is going to affect the event. Definitely that first house where Monstrous was will have a different queue path.

Honestly, this is sort of how I am leaning and what we did last year. I don't want to do Stay and Scream because I don't want to get to the park that early (health reasons). That's why I buy Express. Also not sure how late I will make it. I figure if I start to get worn out, I will head to FNAF to be sure I get to it.

Once we have an official map, I will likely ask for more planning help.

I think it's really hard to gage what it's gonna be like and best plan. I think majority of people will go to FNAF first. There's also rumors of stay and scream being different this year

Oops quoted wrong person. Supposed to be my response to lilywdw

They don’t open all the houses for stay and scream. Last year it was just Insidious and Ghostbusters opening first with A Quiet Place 1/2 hr later for NY. Then the 2 new tents in the other stay and scream. Those new tents were basically no wait for a good period before the crowd made it back there. Did Goblins and Monsters multiple times by just getting back in the line after exiting.

I am lucky that I am not going until October 1. So I will have time to see how things are going.

Staying at Disney for a few days. I was wondering has anyone stayed at Disney and ubered over to Universal for HHN and back to Disney ? We would love to go to HHN, but unsure if it would be difficult.

I did it once. I had a Rush of fear+express pass that I was going to use later, but I wanted to go one of the first nights too. I was staying at BWV and I took a Uber to Universal. I don't remember the price exactly, could have been under $30 each way.
The only issue is traffic to enter the parking lot. Rideshares use a side ramp that can skip some of it, but if traffic is backed up to the highway ramp, then you'll be delayed. If you want to make the most of your ticket, better to take a Uber early and hang out at City walk for a bit.

Yeah - I think I mentioned this earlier in the thread - but supposedly no stay and scream pens\lines this year.

The general consensus seems to be that at some point - say 3PM - you will be able to get a wristband to stay in the park for HHN.
I think you mentioned that previously as well.

Then whatever time they open the line for a house you can get in that line.

It will be interesting to see how that goes - I have to assume it will be pretty messy the first week or two.

They to this for the passholder night and the various OI events - but HHN may be a bit different IMO

Overall I see this as a big improvement - at least you can walk around - get a drink - use the bathroom and not worry about where you are in line. I have to assume this will lead to unofficial lines like we see at Epic until the line for a house is open.
Also more band and\or ticket checks.

Not dealing with all the crisscrossed lines in NY and things closed off and waiting for one family to leave the park before they can release folks seems like an improvement - but getting everyone one of the park seems like it will be a nightmare.

I guess Disney does it, but they get a lot of folks who hang around until they are kicked out in my experience

This is exactly what we'll be doing during our trip in September, I can report back then. We are planning to try to get to Universal around 5:00pm, which might be risky due to traffic. We're doing RIP, so that's taking most of the stress out of the night, but we do still want to try to get there for the opening scaremony.

PS: We are NOT doing the parks before HHN. We shall be enjoying SAB and napping the hottest part of the day away before getting our scares on.

What can expect when busing to / from HHN? In the past, we've stayed deluxe / HRH when doing HHN, but the deluxe prices for Columbus Day weekend are insane this year, so we're staying at Stella Nova. How frequently do the buses run? Any tips? Can we still access the dedicated resort entrance into HHN?

I would get there around 3 pm if coming from Stella Nova. You have to go through the city walk security which is going to get crowded. Got eat somewhere at City Walk. Don’t know about resort entry because where it was is all tore up with construction.

Alternative plan is wait for the initial rush to go in around 6 pm and just walk in later

How far away from uo are you staying? If you have to go up I4 leave earlier. Could honestly take over a hour. Especially at that time.
