Official 2025 Universal Studios Orlando HHN 34 Discussion Thread

Is Stay and Scream worth it on a Wednesday (Oct 1) when I already have Express? I worry about my energy levels as I deal with health issues and standing around waiting longer in the heat.

My original plan that day was to sleep in, lounge by the pool, take a nap, and eat a late-ish lunch (I want to be able to enjoy some of the event snacks this time lol). Then head over about 4:30 or 5, bathroom break, and get in line at the hotel entrance.

I usually do 10 nights of HHN. If I have express I tend to avoid the Stay and Scream - many of the houses are understaffed, scare zones are understaffed and its just to bright out so when you enter the houses your eyes really cant adjust (bring sunglasses for the lines to help with this). I like to hang around CitiWalk and then go to HHN.

Of course if you only have one night of HHN then it might be worth doing stay and scream and doing some of the houses up in the back without express and them coming back later that night with express.

In general I say skip Stay and Scream, its not worthwhile in my experience - I have had very few good walkthroughs during stay and scream.

Is there any sit down restaurant open?
I don't think there's much either. Certainly CityWalk. I think probably Leaky Cauldron in Diagon Alley? And the quick service places or specialty food tents, but you can still take the opportunity for a longer sit down AC break, slowly munching. Unfortunately Studios doesn't have the best options for sit down restaurants.

Hello, this year will be my first time doing HHN. I can't find the start time for any date. Tried to see if the park hours help by elimination, but it just says 8:00am-2:00am. So, when does HHN start? I've looked all over the website, and through this thread and last year's thread, and I must be blind because I can't find the hours anywhere....just trying to figure out if I can make it work with an arriving flight at 3:30pm. Thx in advance!

Generally the "day" portion ends at 5pm, and the "night" event starts at 6:30pm.

If you are in the park before park close at 5pm, you can stay in the "stay n scream" corrals while they push the day guests out. Usually they'll let you into some of the house queues a little before 6:30, so it can be super advantageous to get in early.

If you don't make it in by 5pm (or if you don't have admission to allow you in during the day portion), you'll need to enter the park at official opening at 6:30pm (though they sometimes start pulsing people in a little early), and it will be BUSY getting through the gates for the next hour or two.

You should be fine landing at 3:30, you'll want to plan on entering the event at or after the 6:30pm start time!

Does Stay and Scream sell out? We would be driving in on our one HHN night and ideally would purchase stay and scream that day as we're driving down and have a better idea of whether we can make it in by 5pm.

Be on the lookout for multi night tickets to go on sale Thursday

Rumor is no express attached to it this year, but we'll see.

Thanks - will keep an eye out.

If there is no express then less of a rush to buy them

Cant see it selling out - you have to have a ticket for the night so I cant see them not selling you a stay and scream.

Just to clarify as I see people get confused with this every year.

Scream early is the ticket you buy if you don't have an AP or day ticket. .. Stay and scream anyone can do if they're in the park with a valid hhn ticket.

Thank you! I do get confused with the language and I appreciate the clarification of the terms!

They either have to keep it restricted like they did last year or get rid of it completely. I noticed the number of complaints about long waits in Express were drastically less last year when they restricted express on multi night tickets. Which makes sense. Multi night tickets don't have to pre select the night they go, which means express on too many of those could really impact the lines. There is simply no way to track it.

Looks like wrestling reporters are starting to pick up on the news about WWE being involved with HHN. Would think UO will need to make the announcement this week as the next IP. Maybe with a second one on Friday being Terrifier

Yea. The latest from the insider on Reddit says Terrifier is the plan for a Friday announcement. Which is fine. I would be skipping that house as I am not a fan of the series at all.

Also, random, but I realized I have been on the DIS for almost 20 years now... I feel old.
