Official 2025 Universal Studios Orlando HHN 34 Discussion Thread

Coming from a fan, can easily skip 1/2 of those flicks lol

Even tho a bit of a stinker, Freddy vs Jason is a hoot for the dialogue alone
I've definitely seen the first and Jason X traumatized me as a child, but I haven't seen most of the sequels...

And since I pulled the trigger on RIP this year, I'm gonna prep as much as I can. 😅

@glamdring265

If u are referring to looking for people to join a private HHN VIP tour...

In the past Mod Mac has permitted DIS'rs to post here as to date only! No mention of terms, compensation/$ etc

The DIS does not permit selling anything like that on the open boards

All discussion is to be via PMs between interested parties

The DIS was very clear they accept no responsibility in that sort of thing

can't recall if there was a separate master thread where all who were seeking people to join them could post or they just used this one to announce

Perhaps somebody who participated in this last year could chime in?

I do suggest running the idea of starting a master 'join my HHN VIP tour' thread be run past the Mods, before posting to seek approval

If anyone decides to proceed with this sort of thread and gets the appropriate approvals; post a link here & I will make sure to link it on page 1 here

Question from a NON HHN attendee. We will be going to Universal Sep 27-30 inclusive. A couple of those are definitely event dates. What should we expect/what's our best touring plan to avoid? Family of 4, kids ages 13/10. Will have express pass for Sep 28/29/30. Not sure what we are doing yet on Sep 26/27.

Are you asking how avoid hhn things when there?

yes? I'm not too bothered by what they leave out in the park during the day. It's just in the past we've gone back in the evening to enjoy parks and I don't think that's going to be possible for at least a couple of nights of our visit so I'm not sure how it would change our touring plan I guess is what I'm getting at.

You can go to Islands after Studios closes at 5pm. Islands will get busier in the afternoon on as a result. But Islands also stays open later in compensation. So it might be open until 9-10pm nightly - and hopefully will have the Hogwarts light show on the castle.

You DO NOT want to take the Hogwarts Express to Islands in the late afternoon. Even with Express, it's a long wait as 5pm approaches. Exiting and walking between the parks will be much faster.

Studios tends to get quieter in the afternoons, so that 3-5pm can be a great time to hop on rides with lower waits. Like, 10-15min for Minions and similar waits. A few of the pathways might close, cutting off more direct routes (ie, the pathway to the right of Mummy might/will close, you can only enter from the "Fallon" direction. So it can be a little frustrating to figure out how to get places... but the lower crowds will offset the annoyance.

We've had a great time heading to Studios in the afternoon until 5pm close, having a dinner (or going back to the hotel), and going back to Islands around 7-8pm when the crowds there start to peter out.

Also HHN does tend to help mornings be quieter, if you are inclined towards early entry. All those people who are up late at HHN, they are not getting up early for the parks the next morning.

You actually probably get a better chance at later nights than non-HHN off-season nights, when both parks might close 6-7pm on weeknights.

HHN is Thursday through Sunday except for weird week mid Sept where there is a Tues instead of a Thursday. Early mornings are your friend because the HHN people aren’t going to be rope dropping. With Epic in play, non HHN people may choose to just stay the whole day at Epic instead of going to IoA later in the day.

Got it. It wasn't meant as any snide question, I just wanted to make sure before I answered but I see others already answered everything.

As one of the above posters mentioned if you're in studios close to 5 they start blocking off walkways and can get confusing to get out or get somewhere.
