"Official" 2024 Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

You’ll likely have the Christmas party parade, fireworks, and stage show if you’re going the 21st anyways., so you’re not missing too much if you don’t go to the party. :)

But they don’t generally confirm/update that until mid December.
We went in 2022 and did see the Christmas parade and fireworks on 12/28. They usually run them until 12/29 and then 12/30 & 12/31 they have the NYE special fireworks twice a day (we will see NYE eve fireworks on 12/30 this year).

We won’t be attending MVMCP this year but if you check in early (2 hours prior to official start) does the system take the party ticket or does it use up one of your day tickets now that there is no park pass reservation?

Hey everyone! Considering tickets to MVMCP, but just wanted to verify that the only way to see fireworks at WDW is to go to the party. We will be there 12/7-12/14. Also, is the party the only way to see the Christmas parade? Thank you for your help and insight! Haven't been to WDW or the MVMCP since 2007!
There is Minnie’s wonderful Christmastime fireworks that run until 12/29. There was a Christmas parade as well (we went 12/28)

I’ll be there Nov 30-Dec 8 and was thinking the same events/dates - only hesitation I have is JN on Monday 12/2…Mondays are usually Free Extended Hours at Epcot for Deluxe guests (I’m DVC which qualifies as deluxe)…so Pay $$ for HS or Free for Epcot…decisions need to be made…
We check in 12/21 so our decision to attend MVMCP went out the window (party ends 12/20). I watched Kyle Pallo’s video on JN and it looked unappealing with long waits for snacks. Nothing cohesive about the party and our kids are younger although we do have a teen but she isn’t into nightmare before Christmas. It could be fun for adults who drink alcohol.

Hopefully we can get Epcot and AK EETPH (staying at Poly; changing to AOA Nemo -(similar price with upgrading dining) if EETPH are not great). MK doesn’t usually have EE hours Christmas week.

The lines can be very long during the mix in time and for the first hour of the party. When we were there last year, we saw people using LLs— don’t know how much of it was DAS or ride recoveries or what, but you definitely couldn’t buy G+ after the party officially started. The lines got shorter as the party went on…except Tron, which was at least 30m late in the party.
Tron was just VQ right? There is no standby? They should really change it to standby during the parties

The only way to see the Christmas fireworks display [from inside the Magic Kingdom] is to go to the party. If you visit MK on a night they don't have a party, you will see the standard non-holiday fireworks display.
Note: There are locations outside of the MK to see the fireworks, such as from the Polynesian Resort beach, from the California Grill or Narcossee's restaurants, etc.

I'm assuming you were asking specifically about MK fireworks, but in case you meant more generically - Epcot also has an evening show which includes fireworks.

During your dates, yes.
Just a side note: on 12/30 and 12/31 for NYE fireworks the Poly beach access is reserved for hotel guests who get a special band.

If you enter MK before the official party entry time, the system will have to use a park ticket.

I was under the impression the 2 hours before the party you can enter with MVMCP tickets.

Edited my post above to clarify.

Would love to know the answer to this. I was planning on getting 1 less park ticket day thinking I could use my MVMCP tickets to get in at 4pm.

How it works practically is that if you don’t have a park ticket for the day, they will herd you into a giant corral of people waiting to enter at four, and there are separate turnstiles for non-party and party tickets— so you don’t have to worry about accidentally blowing a park ticket at 3:59 or 4:01– just follow the directions they will be giving for people with party ticket only.

This is a bit unrelated to the MVMCP thread, but does anyone know when the hotel discounts typically go “live”? I saw there is a 30% hotel discount for the holiday season that is available to book starting on June 27, but I was wondering what time it will be available. Is it midnight, 7 am EST, or another time?
I don’t see this offer. Is it for passholders only?

edit: just saw this by doing a google search (no email by Disney) but it ends 12/25 so only covers half of our 10 night stay (dining plan saves more but we prefer not to book TS every night.

We’re planning to attend the first party on 11/8! I haven’t been to one of the Christmas parties since 1996 so I’m incredibly excited.

I’m a little nervous about the crowds on opening night but it’s the only date that we can make work. It’s just DH and I this time so we should be able to manage. Can’t wait!

Wonder what time it opens...I got back late from a work trip and happen to be up... had been hoping I could book before I go to sleep. Not so far, LOL1

I was able to modify my hotel stay (11/25-11/30) at about 5:55am EST today with the new promo.
