I was bummed that there weren’t any Jollywood nights during the first few DVC pass blackout dates— would have been a perfect time for us to visit. Unless they announce something new that we just can’t miss, we’ll probably pass on Jollywood and pick up MVMCP on the 27th.
Ohh yeah that would have been nice to have a jollywood night option too during the blackout day.

How do rides that normally take a virtual que or lightning lane work during parties? Such as Tron or Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Is it just all standby line? I saw where lines were not that bad for Tron in an earlier post. (Or does Genie plus work during parties? I thought I read it doesn't)

Trying to decide between buying an extra day vs the Christmas Party. We are into the rides, not the characters and parades. But also love the Christmas Celebration vibe.

No Genie +
Last one I went to had Tron VQ available for reservation at 6pm.
Can't remember but I think 7DMT was just standby line.

7DMT was standby for us last year. The line wasn't bad at all, think it took about 20 min towards the very end of the evening.

The lines can be very long during the mix in time and for the first hour of the party. When we were there last year, we saw people using LLs— don’t know how much of it was DAS or ride recoveries or what, but you definitely couldn’t buy G+ after the party officially started. The lines got shorter as the party went on…except Tron, which was at least 30m late in the party.

How quickly do the MVMCP tickets sell out? Trying to figure out if I need to purchase them first thing on July 2nd or if I can wait a little bit. I would be going to either the Nov 19 or 21 party.
I am looking at the same dates and so I looked up the Tuesday and Thursday dates from 2023, the week before Thanksgiving, and they didn’t sell out until 3 days before and the day before! I think we have time :)
I have some big bills coming up (real estate taxes and such) and I want to pay off as much of my hotel as I can ahead of time (I have a room only) and so I can’t afford to do party tickets for 3 adults and 1 child right now. :) I am so tempted though because it will make it seem more real. But it makes way more sense to wait.

Sorry if this question doesn’t belong here - I know that party days tend to have lower attendance earlier in the day at MK. Is there any impact on HS attendance on Jollywood Nights days? I’m guessing no since it starts later? We’re going to be letting our daughter pick the park on Saturday of our visit (likely either EPCOT or HS) then doing MVMCP on Sunday (Dec 15). Just trying to gather all relevant info.

ETA: as I’m looking into it more, I’m thinking I was misinformed about Jollywood Nights - it starts at 7:30? So does HS close earlier on party nights?

Our trip to Tokyo Disney was only $2,800 for the 4 of us in a fantastic super clean Disney hotel including overseas flights! WDW too $$$$
That is unreal!!! We went back in May 2023 just two of us and our flights to Japan alone cost $2400. How I hate the weak Canadian dollar and ridiculous flight costs!

I will be there Dec 1-7 so Im planning on JN Dec 2 and MVMCP Dec 3 and 6. Just going this trip to focus on Christmas stuff. 🎄🎅🏻
I’ll be there Nov 30-Dec 8 and was thinking the same events/dates - only hesitation I have is JN on Monday 12/2…Mondays are usually Free Extended Hours at Epcot for Deluxe guests (I’m DVC which qualifies as deluxe)…so Pay $$ for HS or Free for Epcot…decisions need to be made…

Does anyone know how long it took for certain dates to sell out...I think there was a spreadsheet somewhere saying when each date sold out last year, but I can't find it.

Oh, I hadn’t thought of extended hours. We are staying WL so I have to think that through too. Thanks for mentioning it.

No Christmas party for us. They’re ending them Dec 20th this year and we check in Dec 21. We’ve never been so it would have been nice.
You’ll likely have the Christmas party parade, fireworks, and stage show if you’re going the 21st anyways., so you’re not missing too much if you don’t go to the party. :)

But they don’t generally confirm/update that until mid December.

This is a bit unrelated to the MVMCP thread, but does anyone know when the hotel discounts typically go “live”? I saw there is a 30% hotel discount for the holiday season that is available to book starting on June 27, but I was wondering what time it will be available. Is it midnight, 7 am EST, or another time?

Hey everyone! Considering tickets to MVMCP, but just wanted to verify that the only way to see fireworks at WDW is to go to the party. We will be there 12/7-12/14. Also, is the party the only way to see the Christmas parade? Thank you for your help and insight! Haven't been to WDW or the MVMCP since 2007!

The only way to see the Christmas fireworks display [from inside the Magic Kingdom] is to go to the party. If you visit MK on a night they don't have a party, you will see the standard non-holiday fireworks display.
Note: There are locations outside of the MK to see the fireworks, such as from the Polynesian Resort beach, from the California Grill or Narcossee's restaurants, etc.

I'm assuming you were asking specifically about MK fireworks, but in case you meant more generically - Epcot also has an evening show which includes fireworks.

Also, is the party the only way to see the Christmas parade?
During your dates, yes.

Last year during that week, Epcots extended evening hours was moved to Thursday and Monday was extended hours for animal kingdom. Unfortunately, you’ll probably need to make your party decision before they actually come out with what the schedule will be for extended hours.

Thank you! Can you tell me what firework show they show during a non party MK day?
