Party fireworks are great but so is HEA. You can get in early enough with a party ticket to see both fireworks shows though, which is what my family has done for the Halloween/Christmas parties we've been to.
…But only one firework show runs a night. Not two. It’s truly either Halloween fireworks or HEA fireworks if you can only allot one night to MK during MNSSHP season. And party ticket holders arrive between 4-7 pm while non ticket holders must leave by 6/7 pm aka no fireworks… how did you see two? Unless the party fireworks used to run twice before? Still you’d need a party ticket..

HEA does not run on party nights. There is only 1 fireworks show and it is the Halloween one during the party.

I know for sure that I watched both fireworks at the Christmas party I went to in Nov 2021, and I thought it was the same at the Halloween party I went to last October, but maybe it did change in 2022 and I'm misremembering.

Could that have been an After Hours event? During MNSSHP and MVMCP the park closes at 6:00 if I remember correctly, so no fireworks for daytime guests.

There were no MNSSHP and MVMCP in 2021. Instead, they had the Boo Bash and Very Merriest After Hour events, After Hours work different than Parties.
  • There will be no fireworks before the parties, at 6pm day guests are pretty quickly escorted out (there is a brief grace period for shopping on Main Street)
  • Officially, "After Hours" start after a"normal" full park day, including nighttime spectaculars. They do sometimes cheat park hours to start AH early, but they are after hours events.
  • They also sell ~3x more tickets to parties.

I think the two fireworks shows was something special for the 2021 Xmas thing? a way to get people to pony up for the tickets despite it not having all features of a proper party.

Squeee!!! Just got my tickets!! Going Oct 29 for the first time... this will be a birthday treat for myself ( Nov 5) and bringing my bestest ride buddy along, my daughter (22)

LOL, Sorry honey we will see you when we get back, though it is nice when you hold all the bags :P for us

Yes I'm sure, unless something has changed. My previous tickets - even MNSSHP tickets - bought through them all had the 365-day return policy. I got a refund last year as I was driving home the day of the party because of Hurricane Ian. When they start selling the tickets, just look at the details for the particular tickets.
I'm pretty sure it has changed, because I clarified with UT just a few weeks ago what their refund policy is. For regular park tickets, it is a 365-day return policy. But for special event tickets such as Disney After Hours (I had asked them specifically about After Hours at Epcot and H2O Glow at Typhoon Lagoon) it is 90 days. Meaning you have to have purchased the tickets within 90 days of the date you are requesting the refund, even if the event date is still in the future. So, hold off on buying special event tickets from them until your event date is 90 days away (or less), if you want to be able to decide as late as the day before whether you are going to attend or not.

But, if you look on their site right now, it says that the MNSSHP tickets are non-refundable.

And then further down the page, it's got a confusing mish-mash of 365-day and 90-day return policy. I pointed out to them that their site has really poor wording, because for the After Hour tickets it had that same mash-up of saying "365-day refund policy" and then later in the paragraph saying "90 days", which is why I emailed them for clarification.

So I would double check with them before purchasing MNSSHP tickets to see whether they are refundable at all, given how much contradictory stuff is in their fine print.

Just to follow-up, I just chatted with their customer support and they did clarify that the MNSSHP tickets are non-refundable, and they also said they would work on changing the verbiage on the tickets to make it more clear. They just posted the tickets for sale today, so some kinks to work out.

2021 wasn’t a real christmas party, it was the christmas bash or whatever they were calling it. It was shorter than a real party, and yes, they did run both fireworks since it started later.

I've done MNSSHP many times but this will be Husband's first one and I can't wait to show him!

I can pick either Oct 29 or Nov 1. Ruled out actual Halloween. Do you think there would be any crowd difference?

I don't know about crowd difference. But if you want to get special party merch or party food, I wonder if it would be sold out by Nov. 1.

I would hope they know how to space things out... especially since those are the most expensive party nights

Running out of all merch? Not likely

Running out of certain sizes? absolutely

ETA- Think of it from disney’s point of view. There is no real reason to hold back a bunch of merchandise because if for some reason it doesn’t sell on those last two nights they’re going to get stuck with it and that means it’s going to end up at either cast connections or the outlets.

Party tickets were delivered last night! Always love getting packages from Magic Kingdom Drive ♥️

Wow, that was quick! I'm expecting mine in a day or two.
Can you post a pic of the ones you received. I like to integrate them on our Halloween scrapbook pages. °O°
