I wouldn’t pay for this party again, although it did have some highlights, but I’m salty there were no free popcorn/drinks/ice cream like the seasonal After Hours last year bc it was HOT. Brutally so. We spent the first 2 hours from 5:30-7:30 just seeking AC until the sun went down. We’re not special treats people so had no interest in spending the $ on snacks.

The Villains show was REALLY delightful -liked it better than the parade for the variety of songs and time with the villains. The characters walking around the park were also fun, particularly the Stepsisters. We also cut it too close to see the fireworks from the front of the castle, thanks to a loading mishap on 7DMT during my husband’s turn using rider switch, so that was a bummer.

On the plus side, during fireworks we got to ride Space Mountain a bunch as a walk-on (the building was EMPTY). Not knowing there was a special version for the party that experience truly blew my mind. It was awesome.

The lack of waits for rides all night was nice but we come at the start of that very dead week and enjoy low waits during regular park hours without spending an extra $200 for the privilege. So yeah, not worth it for us to do again as non-locals.

It’s 2am and I’m just winding down from tonight’s party. Weather was dry but hottttttt and it felt like it never truly cooled down. I was drenched in sweat still when I walked in our resort at 1am.

Arrival was a total cluster. We came off the poly/GF monorail and immediately hit a giant crowd with no where to go. Stood in the blazing sun not moving from 3:45-4:45. Everyone was very grouchy, cast members kept yelling that we should move down to other tapstiles but there were fences and wall to wall crowds… not actually possible to move from our end.

It took 45 minutes from letting the party goers in at 4pm for you to get in the park? Ouch, that is not cool.

We arrived at 5:30 and there were still loads of people crowded around the tapstiles. And the hardworking Cast Members were unfortunately VERY poorly organized so that people crowded around the 1-2 CMs and bottlenecked for wristbands and NO ONE saw the 6 other CMs in the tunnel standing there with them.

Weird, we arrived at exactly the same time yesterday, and had no trouble getting through.

We had a great time at last night’s party.

Arrived at 5:30 and had no trouble getting in. Did Space with about 20 minute wait, then Buzz about 10 minutes, then 7DMT was about 30 minutes. That was it for waiting and everything else was walk on all night. We prioritized rides rather than the shows.

Once the party started we did some trick or treating, Little Mermaid, Dumbo, small world. The posted wait for HM was 50 minutes, but we probably should have just done it since I’ll bet the actual wait was way shorter. But we walked to Big Thunder and did it twice, maybe 5 minutes wait each, then Splash was a walk on.

Then we got stuck behind the parade, which I kind of liked since I wanted to watch it though my kids didn’t and we were basically forced to lol. Then Pirates and Jungle Cruise, both walk on. The live pirates were really cool. Then we walked back to HM, and we saw the back of the start of the fireworks as we walked. HM was a walk on. Then we were tired so left after visiting the main gift shop.

I thought it was pretty great for prioritizing rides with short waits, even though we didn’t care too much about the party events. But it was nice to see them in the background. We were pretty tired by the end but other than that I would have loved to stay another 90 minutes to keep doing rides.

Fireworks were 1) not as good as hallowishes 2) so crowded. We cut it too close to get a good spot which is on me. But even the bad/mediocre spots were sweaty mass of people. The Jack puppet was very cool.

Do you mind if I ask when you found your spot for fireworks? Just want to know what "too close" is so we can get there in time.

We were at the party 9/5 there mainly for rides, as it was our only MK day.

Pecos Bill’s was busy around 7:45, but lines moved quickly. (Except for my DH’s hamburger, which evidently takes forever to cook).

Between the 9:15 and fireworks, we rode BTMRR twice and Splash 3 times, the last two back to back because they asked us if we wanted to stay on since no one was waiting. So we saw the Headless Horseman and watched fireworks from Splash, which was exactly what we wanted.

Just after fireworks, Pirates posted a 25 min wait, but it was probably closer to 15. Loved the love actors.

Carpets was a walk on most of the night, and we loved riding it to see an overview of the spooky park at night.

HM posted a 30 min wait right before the second parade, but it was a walk-on.

My big complaint was that the final parade basically blocked our route out. My DD was done, and we needed to get out, but we’re blocked by the parade as we tried to exit. I get they want to lead people out,l down Main Street, but it would have been great if there was a way to exit without waiting in the crush until the parade was done.

This was our first MNSSHP, and we enjoyed it. Still prefer After Hours, but it was fun.

Hard working and poorly organized shouldn't be in the same sentence but that's just me

Having been in the position of working on something (often in a volunteer position) where I had very limited ability to implement efficiencies, sometimes folks are working the hardest *because* decisions outside of their control failed to account for organizational needs.

Does the Big Top store sell any party exclusive merchandise? Sounds like the Emporium is a zoo. Can you buy merchandise at 4 or fo you have to wait until 7?

There are only 4 party dates left for October. 10/14, 10/21, and 10/28, which are all Friday parties and 10/23, a Sunday party. I’m sure that they will all probably sell out within the next couple of weeks.

I do wonder if all of the parties selling out this year will have any impact on the party next year.

Prices will probably increase. Someone just mentioned that this was a good deal because it’s less than the price of a 1 day park ticket.

Labor-wise, they either can’t or won’t support the capacity of past years. Lower attendance and overhead, but charge more and blame demand.

Interested to see whether they raise capacity for MVMCP.

Live actors on HM and Pirates didn’t add much. Carlotta was on the lawn in the HM queue but was pretty much just blowing kisssa and calling everyone darling. Not sure what she was supposed to do? She looked cool but wasn’t funny or interesting.

Sad, it must not be the same actress from years past. THAT Carlotta was a hoot and would interact with guests. Sounds like another ✂️

October party dates are slightly more than a 1 day park ticket. For example, our party day was $20 more than a regular, but I felt like it is still worth that slight upcharge to be in the party atmosphere.

I should’ve been clear - that was an example of value for that guest, not that prices were the same. Disney has been using the demand reason for price increases. Yes, October has always been a premium.

I am interested in the capacity for the Christmas party. I would think they may not change capacity if they don't have the labor to support attendance, but maybe they're thinking that there's a good possibility of those parties selling out, too?

Our party tickets, in September, cost more than our day ticket for Epcot. We're only going down for the party and one day in Epcot. We're going to the party on Sunday, September 11 and it was over $1,000 for our group of 7 adults and 1 child. Our day ticket for Epcot on the following day, Monday, September 12 and for the same members of our group, was around $925.

Individually, including tax, an adult MNSSHP ticket was around $127 while a day ticket was $116.

Yeah I got ya. Sorry. I was agreeing that it was a good value because of what the party offers.

Would definitely agree they'll look at the sellouts and increase the starting point next year

Hi, heading back for three nights in a few weeks. The first 2 days will be spent at the Epcot Food and Wine Festival. The third day we don't have any park plans but do have tickets for MNSHP, it's a Thursday night.

It's our first time going the MNSHP and we are looking forward to it. The character meet and greets are not our thing so we are focused on the entertainment (parade, fireworks, Hocus Pocus) and rides. I do have a few questions.

I know that we can get in at 4 and the park closes at 6 and then the party starts at 7. Between 6 and 7 they are herding out the non MNSHP guests (That was us a few years ago) During that time are the rides still running? I've checked the Disney app and it doesn't show wait times between 6-7 on party days. If the rides are not operating then is that a good time to get food?

Second, and this is my being ever so hopeful, Do ADR's for Be Our Guest open up at all a day or two prior to the party? That would be a good choice for dinner but so far it hasn't been available. The current plan is to spend the day over at Disney Springs and get a late lunch there and snack our way through MK for the party.

Lastly how is the bus transportation at or near the end of the party? We are staying at the Beach Club and most likely won't make it to midnight.

Thanks in advance for any help.
