This is exactly what we do... eat during that time! It's chaos everywhere! It’s complete chaos with day guests still in attendance and party goers entering. I always plan dining or FPs during these hours.
I recommend a Tuesday party always over a Sunday party. With that said, we are doing a Sunday party for our upcoming trip and I'm not worried even though it will likely sell out.Hi all, looking for some advice. I am debating between Sunday 12/15 or Tuesday 12/17 party. I have heard that going during the week should have lower crowds but who knows lately. Which would you recommend? Also clarification on the food. We've been to the Halloween version and got the candy, so for the Christmas version there are food stops where you can get free treats? Also do they sell holiday themed treats as well at different locations? Thanks
If I book Chef Mickey's for 5pm (I don't have it but if I can score it...) we should be seated right away since it is opening up for the dinner timeframe...would we be back in the park at MK before the Elsa Castle show?
Oh okay...I thought the castle lights up at 7pm. Thanks for your reply! It depends on how quickly you eat, but you may be hard-pressed to make the 6:15 castle lighting. You always have the 8:15 show later if you don’t make it.
What do you all think about Tony’s merriest town square party during the Xmas party? I’m thinking of going so we get a good view of the parade.
Has anyone been or thinking of going?
Did it last year and loved it. Booked it again for this year. What do you all think about Tony’s merriest town square party during the Xmas party? I’m thinking of going so we get a good view of the parade.

After the parade, did you try to go up Main Street to go on any rides? I’m thinking the parade will end around 11:30 and wondering how hard it will be to go against the crowds for another ride or 2.Did it last year and loved it. Booked it again for this year.
I think it will be fun to have a special place to hang out and eat/drink and especially to have a great view of the parade on Main Street. I hope we really do get a good view and that we don’t have to reserve a spot early within the reserved area!I decided to get it because it's my first party (technically second but got two parties for one trip) but last visit to Disney for awhile so may as well go big. Realize you're paying for the guaranteed Main Street parade view and the free flowing booze, not the food. If you're not big drinkers, it's probably not a good value for you unless you absolutely want to guarantee a spot without camping out for one. The food gets really mixed reviews, usually with the hot appetizer-style foods getting the bulk of negative criticism while cold apps & desserts are found to be decent. But even I will admit $100+tax on top of MVMCP is hard to justify and I had to really consider this decision. Also keep in mind that the party is the same price for everyone, including kids. Which means if you have kids in the party, the value diminishes even more.
Depends what you want to ride. We tried to get to Jungle cruise from that spot one year and were unsuccessful. Carousel, maybe PPF or SDMT and you might be ok. According to the time stamp on my photos from last year, Santa’s sleigh passed the flagpole at 11:38.After the parade, did you try to go up Main Street to go on any rides? If you want the view directly down Main Street, with the castle backdrop for your photos, plan to stake out your spot in the reserved area early. I headed there immediately after the fireworks ended and they put up the ropes to grab that spot while the rest of my family went back inside to enjoy more snacks. If anywhere in the reserved area will do, no need to arrive more than 2 minutes before the parade does.I think it will be fun to have a special place to hang out and eat/drink and especially to have a great view of the parade on Main Street. It’s just me and my 2 teens so I’m the only drinker but they’ll eat a lot of desserts. Lol. I hope we can catch a ride or 2 after the parade. It would be wonderful if the street behind Main Street was open so we wouldn’t have to fight the crowds headed for the exit!
At the Halloween party last year, we managed to ride Space Mountain after the 2nd parade. We were getting off just as the clock struck midnight. After the parade, did you try to go up Main Street to go on any rides? Not any rides, but we did go and watch the last stage show and got right up at the front. We walked through the Emporium rather than Main Street. After the parade, did you try to go up Main Street to go on any rides? Thoughts and considerations on Tuesday the 12th (our first full day) vs Tuesday the 19th (our last full day?). Any pros/cons to one over another?
