Official 2017 Tinker Bell Half Marathon Weekend!

I'm almost 100% sure I'm in for Neverland 5K again for 2017.

It looks like the transplant surgery will be pushed off until late Summer, so now I can do it. Yay? :rotfl:
I'm thinking 2017 will be the Neverland 5K and the Wine and Dine.

Mark your calendars. It's almost time to throw on our fairy wings and register!

Passholder / DVC registration is September 13. General registration is September 20.

Pricelist is up (on RunDisney site):
  • Tinker Bell Half Marathon $185
  • Pixie Dust Challenge $330
  • Tinker Bell 10K $120
  • Never Land 5K $80
  • runDisney Kids Races $20

Thanks!!

Wow, didn't realize so soon, thought registration is in November!!
I'm planning on the whole weekend, 5k & PDC.

I think we're going to only do the Tink half instead of the Pixie Dust challenge. Still earn coast to coast without the store muscles and keep our costs down.

$700 vs $350 is a big difference :)

I registered for PDC at the DL Expo - obviously before I had my PW, complete disaster of a half. Anyway, I'll definitely be back for the weekend for a girl's trip with S, B, and M. But will I actually be participating in any races? We'll see ...

I have my deferral from this year for PDC (whenever they email that to me), and I'll likely do the 5K as well. :)

I plan to register for the 10K. I will make it a short weekend trip. Planning to fly in Friday morning, do the parks that night, race Saturday and back home that afternoon. I am planning to book through a travel agency and get my park ticket as well!

I have a deferral for the half, crossing my fingers it works out this time.

Is there normally early registration at expos?

I'm in for the half for sure. Would love to run all 3, but we'll see how I'm doing $$ wise when registration rolls around.

They used to do it before the races got super popular and then they stopped for awhile. With the races selling a bit more slowly lately, I guess they brought it back. :scratchin

Still undecided for me. Having trouble convincing my DH that we should do it next year. Hoping I can win him over though. :)

Hi there! I'm trying to talk myself into signing up for the half marathon. I've never done a half before, I'm pretty sure I'll be fine....I run a good amount, but I have never done an a race for that distance.

I'm wondering though what/how I would submit for my time. I ran the SW 10K this January but I have no idea where to get that info from now. Can anyone point me in the right direction for this? Thank you so much!

Just added the registration prices to the original post...interesting (maybe only to me) aside:

- the 5K registration fee went up by $5
- the 10K registration fee went up by $10
- the half marathon registration fee *decreased* by $14
- the Pixie Dust Challenge registration fee stayed the same

(using only tier 1 pricing from last year...they have done away with the tiers this year)

Has anyone heard any more about deferrals? $410 is a chunk to lose if something happens, does RunDisney offer insurance?

No official confirmation from runDisney that they are gone, but I don't recall seeing them pop up for the Disneyland races that just happened...so it seems they really ARE gone (unless they did open and I just missed it).

When I was at the DLH expo this weekend I noticed they had a sign up for $25 off registration for Avengers and marathon weekend.

I know my boyfriend had to do the Disneyland half this weekend because he was told no more deferrals... And I'm out for the tinkerbell because I can't defer the princess and can no longer afford both due to stupid circumstances beyond my control :(
