Is upgrading from assp to pop really worth the 150.00 extra? My wife wants to and we already had to upgrade our tickets for free dining. Any advice would be appreciated.

Have you been to ASSp or Pop before? Is there a particular reason she wants to upgrade?

Personally, I would pay the money and upgrade because I love Pop, but if you've never been to either place, I'd stick with ASSp. There are plenty of people who prefer it over Pop.

The previous time we went we stayed at movies and loved it but she walked in when I was watching best and worst on the Dis and they were talking down all star sports.

Sounds like you cost yourself $150.
You might as well do the upgrade if she has it in her head that ASSp is not very good.

Moved from CBR to Pop. Got Free Dinning Quick Service with Table Service upgrade. Saved of $660 and happy. I have stayed at Pop once back in 2008. Liked the resort. ADRs booked. Anyone care to hear them?

Sure Goofy. I'm done my ADRs, was going to stay at FQ, but saving almost the same amount of money, I'm staying at POP too. It's fine for the 6 days I'm going. Yay! That your saving money too.

Last year was the first year we went the week after. Other times we have gone the week before thanksgiving or September. We felt it was much slower the week after.

We went Thanksgiving week two years ago. It was good. I didn't think it was too crowded, and I had been worried about that. There was one night at wishes that the crowds were insane, we got stuck on the back side of the castle, near haunted mansion and we could barely make our way around to the front. Then, one night at MK a couple days before Thanksgiving, it was pouring rain, like torrential. No one was at the park. We literally ran from ride to ride with no lines. We got soaked but it was worth it...we laughed so hard!

I went to a chinese auction last night and won 4- 1 day park hoppers. I was very excited!!

On a different note, I was only able to snag WL and AKL for FD for the dates we want to go. If you had the choose, which would you choose? I am having a hard time. We really wanted BC or Poly, but Poly not available and all that is available for bc was a 2 bedroom suite for 15,000. I'll pass on that one. lol

I've always wanted to stay at AKL...I think it has the most beautiful lobby and I love Boma. And the pool at night is so serene...it's just so magical there.

Anyone have any luck with a free dining reservation that includes November 23-25 over Thanksgiving? Esp interested in knowing if anyone got it for CBR in a non-pirate room? I've got a reservation for November 19-23 but have been unsuccessful at adding the extra days. Didn't know if I should keep checking, or if those days are just blocked out for that resort and I should make a different plan.

I have been trying to get reservations at the yacht club or the beach club for November 14 through the 19th for the free dining and I have not been able to find anything. I have been checking multiple times a day and have been calling multiple times a day and still no luck I really hope that we get these reservations.

I've been looking ever since FD dropped for Thanksgiving week and there were no rooms except pirate rooms (and even then only occasionally). Been trying to modify an existing reservation at CBR for that week and also have called multiple times. Nothing yet. Good luck.

I was able to successfully modify my CBR reservation to free dining last Monday around 4pm. Nothing was showing all day until then. I did have to drop a day (11-18). So my reservation is 11-19 to 11-26 in a standard room with free dining. We have 5 coming so a pirate room won't do. I've been checking several times a day to add on the 18th (and even tried calling) but have had to success.

YAY!! And I just checked today and flights are back up. Thank goodness my TA worked yesterday! Pays off to be OCD about all things when planning Disney

We are booked at CBR for 8/16-23 with GC and FD, but are seriously considering bumping up to Beach Club. I've been checking and calling, too...also finding no availability. I do see one for Yacht Club but really leaning towards BC. Have any of you stayed at Yacht and if so, what do you think about it?

Flights will always be higher on a weekend than on a Tuesday-Thursday. I missed out on it last week but I'm hoping that it drops back down tomorrow.

Ive heard that but actually it's been the opposite this time around. Flight dropped in price on saturday and by sunday it went back up. I've been checking on tuesdays and prices have been the highest then. My SIL waited for a tues to book and paid $75 per person more than me. Guess you just never know. Good luck finding a deal this week!

I've been trying since FD dropped for NOV 14-19 too. ALL I was able to snag was AKL butwe wanted an EPcot resort, booked at YC 14-17. About given up on adding the 18&19 but am happy I was able to at least get a garden view room for most of my days.

Are your kids younger? We will have 5 in the room too, our kids are 14,10 and 6. So while I'd prefer to be at CbR and it'd be cheaper.....I think we might need to do 2 rooms at a value. Have you done 5 there before?

Need a value for Dec 8 - 13 with free dining, preferably Pop. Why are there plenty of rooms available without a discount and none with FD??? If anyone sees anything open up, please update or PM me! I have been checking multiple times a day since last Wed but having no luck!
