I understand people booked early at CBR and got a $75/night GC and now people who book there don't get the gift card. I know the resort is undergoing major renovations and I think people deserve the GC but I don't think it's fair to give some people the GC and not the others, they are all going to have the inconveniences of the renovations.

so happy for those of you who are getting what you want! i just keep trying. i called back in and unfortunately got a CM who has no idea what he is doing. told me there is no disney visa offer. on hold for a supervisor now.

I am way behind. What is the Visa Offer?

Yes but when some people booked, like me, we weren't aware of the construction. People who are booking since the construction notification know what they're getting into.

Sending good vibes to all those still looking and waiting! Hope everyone is able to find what they are looking for. The all-nighter I pulled is seriously kicking my butt now! lol I feel fortunate that we were able to get FD. I really wanted POR, but there was nothing available for my dates when I checked. I was able to modify my POP reservation to add the offer. POP will be better on my budget anyway. Still looking for a Poly room for my friend, but was able to get her WL. We will keep checking as the week goes on.

I was just able to modify my Standard CBR to get free dining from 11/25-12/1 ( we are going until 12/2, but if I have to pay for a room only reservation I don't mind ) We will get to use our giftcards!!

I agree after all the gift cards are just money going right back to Disney! Im bitter my TA lost my gc deal because she wasn't online till 7 and put me in a resort costing me a grand more!!!!!!

I've had a preferred room at POP for the last week of September booked since February. My TA was able to attach the FD to it this morning. Doing my happy dance!

I had my 2 rooms at Pop booked since mid-March with MYW Pkg w/Base tickets and TS dining pkg. My TA emailed me at 5:52 est after FD dropped about 5:30 and told me she had gotten Free dining for both rooms and had upgraded to park hoppers and upgraded dining plan from QS to TS. We have 5 adults and 2 children staying 7 days mid-Sept. Great job by my TA. We are very excited..taking kids and grandkids. First Disney trip for 6 & 8 year old granddaughters...doing lots of character dining and an appt at BBB.

I am way behind. What is the Visa Offer?

It's for Disney Visa holders. It's the same as the gp offer, but the starting date is August 13th, and the room inventory can be a little different. There is a link someone posted on here this morning.

I was able to get a standard at CBR, which I love....but with 2 little ones in tow....how bad is NOT having a food court? For $600 cheaper I can stay in my pref room at Sports. What to do....what to doooooooo

Keep checking! Earlier today there were no standard CBR rooms, but someone posted about a half hour ago there seems to be more that were released. I checked and sure enough, they had availability for our dates.

Was lurking on this thread for a few weeks, and I kept going back and forth on whether to book. My wife and I have done free dining for years, and have done it at least six times. I convinced myself I would not do it this year.

Then I looked at the site and casually played with some dates and plans.

"Wow, club level at AKL for four nights in early September is eligible? And (semi) affordable? I always wanted to stay at AKL and the club level..."

Told the wife. She asked to add our two boys to the mix. With three day PH passes, it was around $4000.

So I pulled out the Disney VISA... And booked.

Can still cancel if something happens with my job situation, but looks like we will once again take advantage of FD.

Free QS. Trying to see what the upgrade cost is. I am actually thinking I'd prefer QS. our party includes 4 girls - ages 7, 10, 11, 14 - all fairly light eaters, a 13 year old boy (very heavy eater but very picky) and the 4 parents. I'm tying to come up with a comparison sheet for my DH that shows why it might be advantageous to keep QS and not upgrade. The only sit down meal he wants is Ohana breakfast. We were also considering Akershus but I'm not sure if those 2 alone make up the difference or not, but then we're stuck with 4 more table service to figure out and we lose 6 QS. I'm almost thinking QS is better for us this trip.

Anyway, anyone have those numbers off the top of their head on what it takes to upgrade? my memory wants to say like $21 per person per day?

I woke up at 4 and did 30 minute naps until seeing it come live at about 5:30. Goofy pulled a prank for about 10 minutes, until the offer really went live and got it done without any hiccups.


8/21-9/2 at Pop Century, (and also booked Port Orleans Riverside, but we're probably going to throw that one back, because with the upgrade it's just a little too pricey).

Were the standard rooms available or did you have to book a preferred?

Yeah, I booked a one way trip to the Hoopty Doo Revue where I'll find a way to get cut off in less than 90 minutes. They put something real special in that sangria.

Wait until they open the Club 33 there. They won't cut you off, and guests are allowed.
