Is FD typically the only fall promotion or is there a RO? If there are others, what are the typical other offers and when are they released? I'm still crunching numbers but think CDN tic offer MIGHT be better - leaving a FD room open for one of you folks

I really hope we don't have to wait another week. I know that's very "first world" of me, but I just really want to know where I am staying, my bill total, and finalize my plans.

This is me exactly. I'm also planning a last minute trip to California for June and what our bill ends up being for WDW is determining the budget for that trip.

I've heard others commend the carrot cake cookie, never tried it. Is it a soft cookie and is it at HS? The writers shop or something?

It is soft. Two cookies with cream cheese frosting in middle. I know it's still at HS but is writers stop still there? These are the things I have to work on after I get FD.

Hello there, I am a Canadian as well and we will miss the dining by 1 day due to our checkout date. We can't do a minimum 4 night stay. The RO discount wasn't released last year until early August. I think we'll have to wait impatiently until August for RO discounts to be announced. Best of luck in your planning.

For those of you looking to use snack credits on jalapeno pretzels....the only place you can get them now is at Typhoon Lagoon. None of the regular parks carry them.

It used to be at the writers stop - heavenly and HUGE. My family of 4 shared one! Soft cookies, tons of cream cheese frosting on the inside. I think you can get it at sweet spells now in HS.

Thanks I knew it was somewhere. And then I could t remember if WS leaving rumor or fact. I spend too much time reading rumors and don't know which ones came to fruition.

Chip and co is known for posting total nonsense rumors that usually end up way off. Probably because it brings traffic to their website LOL.

I've actually seen several websites out there that have quoted what Black put out almost word for word.

And, for the first time ever, I am thinking of NOT bumping up to table service plan from quick service. I'm going the 1st week of September and it's so darn hot, I have very little appetite and just feel we wasted so much food. Plus, I would like to try doing something different this trip. Maybe this will give us more freedom from schedules. However, if I can get it free with a moderate resort, I won't say "no thank you"

I don't think I can take another week. I'm a nervous (and excited) wreck about free dining. I woke up several times last night (without the aid of an alarm) to check my Ipad. My husband just laughs at me, but he has been spoiled with free dining in the past and doesn't want to go without the dining plan. I love to feel like I am getting the best deal possible. With 4 Disney adults, free dining will be the best deal for us. Just hoping we know something concrete soon.

Luckily, I'm going the end of July, so hopefully it doesn't close early. I finally just found the courage to try it last year, and I'm hooked now!

I think that's a good plan. We have talked about this as well. We love the food at Epcot, so many choices.

I think I should be because it's one of the few rides I knew about before I started researching for our trip. But as I haven't been on it, I'm feeling more "Aw. What a shame".
But I do understand it to be iconic and that some people would feel their trip is incomplete without it.

I'm sorry for those that are going to miss it. If it stays on schedule it will be back open before we go. I really hope so my DD16 is a huge chicken and won't ride anything but she loves that. It's her one brave moment. I'm going to make a FP for it for the very last day we are there just in case.

I downloaded the ******* app. When I try to "join server" and type in 2017 Free Dining, it says invite is invalid or expired. Can anyone give advice here on how to get into the group?
