Ok friends, we are under a tornado watch, so I'm out for a bit. I am super loving the chat group though, so I'll be watching my phone for those alerts along with weather alerts (priorities, haha). DH asked what the heck I was doing and I told him I was following FD without even being on the boards, whaaaat!i super love this thread, you guys are keeping it so fun!

You can definitely use the deluxe meal credits for anyone at the table. Doesn't matter if they are in your room or not.

One more possible con to staying off-site. IF you rent a car, you need to factor in not only the rental price, but $20/day for parking at the parks.

I have the $75/night offer at CBR too so I'm curious. Are we able to switch dates and still keep the $75/night offer? And if so, can days be added? We need to add one day to our existing reservation but I didn't want to lose the $75/night at CBR.

I saw that the other person asking about this did call in and said the rate was more calling, BUT if you want to insure you keep those GCs, I'd be calling in and not doing anything online with that reservation.

How scary, hope you will all be okay too! They're extremely rare here in the Northeast and I've never seen one and I hope never to. Be safe!

Yes, you can get DxDP for one room and use the credits for everyone. Remember though that those credits will only be on the two magic bands in that room so one of the two of you (or your band) will always have to be present to use those credits (just mentioning in case anyone runs off to get quick service separately). For 2 people at 10 nights, you're looking at 60 credits that can be used for TS or QS, 40 snacks, and 2 mugs and the upgrade cost (if you get free QS) is $1169.80. If you get a room discount for the other room, depending on room cost and discount percent, you're probably looking at around $500 savings there.

Edited above cost for upgrading plan. I previously only did to regular DDP, now I have from QS to DxDP.

Thanks for the cost info. I don't think being together will matter because for the most part we will all eat together and will make sure at least one of the 4 of us is with the other two if we separate.

Ok guys, here's my plan for the next 5 days
Thursday: busy with homeschool co-op (will be checking here often)
Friday: hear encouraging reports that FD will indeed drop on Monday and will include TS for mods.
Saturday: spend the day excitedly running numbers and chatting with my new disboards friends.
Sunday: church then rest up for a long night
Monday: beginning at midnight, eat snacks, turn on the first of many Disney movies of the night, start drinking coffee. Refresh Disney website. Chat with disboards friends Repeat until FD drops...

Food and Wine booths for the majority. At least 1 Dole Whip since we hope to stay at the Poly. And Starbucks one or 2 mornings. Maybe a big Mickey pretzel too. We have 4 adults and 5 kids on this trip-- we'll be hoarding the kids snacks so more for the Food and Wine. Well.... I might let them each at least get a Mickey Ice Cream Bar.
