I booked CBR for end of October. I booked a package with dining while they were still offering the gift card promo. I will probably keep it and change dates to get free dining. Even if I only get QS, I'll have the $75 a night cards for TS.

I have the $75/night offer at CBR too so I'm curious. Are we able to switch dates and still keep the $75/night offer? And if so, can days be added? We need to add one day to our existing reservation but I didn't want to lose the $75/night at CBR.

while we are hoping for pixie dust, could you guys throw some my way? I have been trying to add a day for over 2 weeks and I'm getting frustrated. Right now we are checking in 10/1. Missing it by one day is going to super sting. I've been stalking the Disney website looking for availability. Hoping somehow my magical Disney visa will help, or maybe I can score a RO, but I sure would like FD! On a positive note I'm FINALLY caught up!! Woohoo!!!

Call Disney. They have been showing available when the web site shows it booked.

The more flexible you are with dates, room types, and resorts, the later you can leave booking your free dining reservation. If you really need certain dates, resorts, or room types though, it is best to get in as early as possible to book, as certain categories fill up quickly.

It is possible to get it then, but if you want to get your first choice at resort, it is best to book as soon as it drops!

Free dining could drop at any time and no body knows for sure when that will be. Last year it was 4am EST so that is what a lot of people are assuming, but it could be any time. Phone lines open at 7am EST. Whether or not you can wait a few hours and still get it will depend on your resorts, your dates, the number of rooms Disney has allotted for your resort and dates for free dining, and how many other people book what you are wanting before you do. There's no way of knowing ahead of time for sure how difficult it will be for anyone to get what they want, but the more flexible you are with dates and resorts, the greater the likelihood that you can make something work if you try to get it later on. Many people do get free dining days and weeks after it's announced, but again, it all depends on availability.

I had a room reserved last year at WL through a TA. I woke up early the day FD dropped and emailed her immediately. She said she had to call Disney to modify my reservation. By the time she got through, it was about 8:00 am. She couldn't modify my existing reservation as WL was sold out, so I got a Lagoon View at GF instead. So I plan on booking myself this year as soon as it drops.

I'll be up all night with the rest of you awesome people!

I've never liked cosmic rays. Always seems a little worse than other places.

Just a heads up since some were talking about Hangouts hitting the user limit. *******'s limit is 1000. So that should provide us with the headroom to get everyone in.

And the notifications are amazing for alerting people. It's also really really nice for general and off-topic chat. Picture links work and all. It's really nice and robust.

I know that you can switch the dates and keep the GC, because I did. I don't know about adding or subtracting days.

I was able to get my dates changed by calling and then heybinform me that the rate per night is more expensive when you call versus changing online.....uh no. That's not ok. Would add an extra $300 to my trip.

O.K. Got excited and called Disney. They are still saying no DV discounts at this time. She told me not to give up and call back occasionally. Not sure if she knows something or not. She also said to call back in June or July for RO discounts for my dates (Oct.28-Nov.3).

Ugh those are my dates too, I can't wait that long lol

That doesn't make any sense why it would be more expensive calling vs online... I could understand the new dates being more expensive due to weekends/ changing season prices, but not for calling vs online. Keep us posted!
