When are they there?
Comps are Sat Dec 2 to Sat Dec 9 - I know that some may arrive earlier or stay later but typically FD is offered for last day or two of their comps as they would have arrived outside the window - I was there one year middle of comps and crowds in parks don't seem to suffer as majority of days groups are at ESPN playing or practicing

I think that's totally reasonable. HS was one of my favourite parks but now it's hard to feel the love for it with everything going on there.

On another note does anyone know what resorts the Pop Warner group usually stays at? How far in advance do they announce where they will be staying? I'd like to try and avoid them if I can.

Yeah I can't say I was a huge fan of lights camera action. And always so hot even in December. I do miss backlot tour. Is there anything else gone? Hard to keep straight the rumors from the fact. Last time I went was 2014.

This was true in 2014. I checked in 12/12 which was first day in December and Pop Warner was still there at CSR. Maybe this means FD will at least open up on the 7th? That would be good.

Question, has anyone tried to call tech support to have the modify reservation button fixed? I called Friday morning and first they said there was nothing they could do and then I asked specifically if they can add me to the list of people who need it fixed. She said yes and that I would get an email confirming they will look into it but I haven't heard anything yet.

thanks!

So if you cant get a mod for FD who plans on going deluxe ?

We do. It's almost the same as room discount and paying for the dining plan at a moderate so we might as well. We're a family of 5 so FD will save us a bundle, we hope we can get the moderate but we've got the deluxe as a backup plan.

I wish!

We're currently booked for 14 nights at CBR with the $75 gift cards. If/when free dining is not offered there we will downgrade to an All-Star.

I've done the math and it costs $811.44 more to stay at CBR but we'd get $1050 in gift cards, so we'd be ahead by $238.56. However, I won't be too disappointed if we have to go down to a value. We just won't spend the extra money up front and will get a resort that is not under major construction.

It would be nice to try a mod (nevermind a deluxe!) for once but I'd rather go for longer since it's just the two of us and we're hardly in the room anyway.

If no free dining is offered at all, we will either cancel altogether, book a room only with discount (if offered) and get the discounted Canadian tickets or stick with CBR and use the gift cards for food. We'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

Yes, it's been a couple of weeks now since I called and haven't heard back and my change reservation link still doesn't work. :(

You know, I wasn't going to do anything at BOG, because I don't particularly care for their menu but after seeing the movie, I have to do it! I'm going to try for it, but I may be too late now.
In my case, I think BOG is not about the food, is the experience of eating in the castle. Is a must do if you loved the movie

My friends and I were able to get the discounted ticket prices for being Canadian residents - it doesn't say that you can't combine this offer with other offers - does anyone know if this can be combined with free dining?

It's just odd for me. I've never heard this. I've heard of Good Friday being off for some people. But Easter is always on a Sunday. What is the day after? Pick up rotten eggs day? I used to work for a small company where the owner was catholic and he would give us all kinds of days off Ash Wednesday Good Friday all Kinds of days I had too look up what it was but not the day after Easter. Lol. No offense to anyone. It's like when you hear anew word that you've never h and before and then everyone is saying it and you're like I'm 41 years old how did I not know this???

Eveybody should have Good Friday off. It's the most important day of the year for the Christian religion.

I admit i thought banks were off Easter Monday. Government institutions are, and i think the postal service.

I just don't see them dropping on that day. Better believe i will still be checking but i think April 24th is more likey

I've seen "Pop Warner" cropping up in the thread a few times and wondered what it is.

I emailed about it and it took a while for them to get back to me and when they did, they basically they couldn't do anything about it and said I needed to call!
As I'm in Australia, I wasn't keen on making a call just for that, so I decided to wait until I needed to call about something else as well.
But when I next went online, the change button was suddenly there.

So maybe try emailling?

My kids (and I too) enjoyed Lights/Camera/Action.....my kids never got to experience the backlot tour.....it was shut down every time they were at HS with me. Sad......but progress is progress.

No, you won't be able to do that. The free dining package requires a non-discounted room and non-discounted tickets of an as yet unknown kind. You probably can combine the Canadian discount tickets with a room discount, so you might want to do the math to see which is the better offer.
