Ok, so I have a few questions and choices to make.

Brown Derby (2credits vs pay oop?) (Lunch or dinner?)
Holly wood and vine (1 credit vs pay oop?)
BOG (1 credit vs Pay oop?) (I'm also using 2 qs too for Breakfast and lunch)
Repunzle breakfast on boardwalk (1 credit vs pay oop?)
The german place for the Candlelight Procession or pay Oop?)( 2 credits)
Tusker house (1 credit or Pay Oop? also Breakfast or lunch?) (ROL package)
Castle (2 credits)
T rex (pay oop? Skip? Or use 1 credit?)
Crystal palace or another Chr Breakfast at a hotel (what is your fav ones what chrs come out, any have Brunch? My hubs like breakfast I like some brunch like foods more.)
Ohana (Breakfast or lunch-dinner? (pay oop or use a credit)

So I am going to have 9 ts credits. I have meals that = 13 so I need to pay out pocket for the least amount.

The plan as of now IF FD doesn't happen and I need to move ideas around.

Wed afternoon arrive. Use Wed evening (1 am opening if correct)
We can bang out most of our favs and hit each land (not all rides just favs) that night with the 3 fp's used before 11 pm.
The next day would be my BDAY. We will start in Epcot rope drop or AK- that evening and FP's we would use at Holly wood Studios for Fantasmic. (not sure if we should use Hollywood vine or Brown Derby for the Fantasmic show)

any advice?

If you do T-Rex, pay oop.
I would pay oop for Brown Derby too. Then again I would only be ordering the Cobb Salad there.
I would do Ohana dinner over breakfast.
I would do BOG dinner out of pocket. I dislike cupcakes for dessert.

I am still going to go with my original thought that FD will be dropped on the 24th. This is just based off the last two years. I hope that I am wrong but I can not shake that gut feeling that it will be the 24th.

My wife thought Anne Hathaway should have been Belle....I said she is too old and tall. Watson was ok, but she clearly can't sing......I do commend her for taking singing lessons as soon as she was "awarded" the role. Has anyone seen the Belle dolls in her likeness? Terrible.....I feel bad for her and think the group that designed and signed off on them should be reprimanded. The huge forehead (on the doll) just doesn't sit well....lol

My walkaway was I liked Cinderella live action better. I really appreciated the positive message they added to the movie - Have courage and be kind. B&tB was fairly in line with the original....I was hoping for some additional positive content.

I have seen them. What horrible is that they are an exact resemblance. I'm sorry I'm being mean. Im sure she is a fine actress just not belle. I feel like they could have at least made her hair look darker and more full like belle.

I think you are right actually.

Yeah, if FD didn't drop today, I think the likelihood if the 24th is spot on. It matches the last few years from what I could see, and I highly doubt they will release it Easter weekend. That just seems odd. Although... who knows. I'm just hoping that they do release it... this will be our first time using free dining and it will be sooo helpful on the budget. I will be super sad if they first time I try to get FD is the year they don't do it.

So, here it is another Monday morning and nothing! :offtopic:When I got home yesterday I posted that I saw Beauty and the Beast, and didn't hear back from anyone, as to whether you all have seen it? I loved it, was totally captivated by it, and it put me right in Disney, wishing I had booked BOG for a meal. Has anyone in here seen it? Opinions?
Yes we saw it twice and loved it. I actually liked it better the second time because I missed a few things the first time around. It's still sold out around here!

I currently have a CBR reservation with the $75 GC. Since we have to change reservations to book FD, will we lose the GC, as that promo has been taken away now?

What would be the live action remake you would be most excited to see? If done well with a VERY talented singer playing the lead I would love to see the Little Mermaid.

Your wish is Disney's command! It's in the works now. Music by Lin Manuel Miranda (Hamilton).

Plus there's 2 other versions also being done. One by Universal and the other is an independent.

Be aware, they're closer to the HCAnderson version than the animated one. :crutches:

The next Disney remake will be Mary Poppins which wrapped filming recently in England. Emily Blunt as Mary and LMMiranda :-)worship:) as Bert.

There's a slew of other remakes/live actions from Disney coming up too including Aladdin (no Robin Williams:charac2:) and Lion King.

If you're really hanging for some "real" Little Mermaid, you could always watch the Tom Hanks and Darryl Hannah 80s movie, Splash!

I actually like Emma Watson (HUGE HARRY POTTER FAN), and I did think she was cute as Belle, but come on, it's a musical get a singer!! I imagine they knew she would be a big draw and her clout allowed her to dictate the terms.
I actually liked her voice. She has a very "Disneyesque" voice! :)

Les Mis was sooooo good though (go ahead ppl, make fun of me). Anna Kendrick probably has the best voice of the "popular" small actresses.

Edit: I meant to add - I had read about Emmy Rossum being a good Belle candidate, but I don't know who she is other than looking @ her wiki page.
Emmy Rossum is awesome! (a poet and I don't know it, LOL) She was in the Phantom of the Opera and did her own singing and she has a beautiful voice. She was also in other movies, the remake of Poseidon Adventure and The Day after Tomorrow. She'd actually make a wonderful Ariel.

I chatted with a CM who said that adding a promo is not a new reservation, but a modification, and we should not lose gift cards! I have the same thing, hoping for FD on top of the $450 in GCs we are getting!!

No one knows for certain. Conflicting CM/blogger/customer information. Until FD drops, no one can know for sure what Disney will decide.
Closest we have to an indication is that some people have been able to apply other discount offers to their reservation and haven't forfeited the gift cards. But those offers aren't as big as free dining.

My personal opinion is they will allow "double dipping" as the gift cards were issued as compensation, not a discount or promotion. The rules about not being able to double dip relate to promotions.

But as the gift cards is an unprecedented move by Disney, everything is speculation.
