This is off topic, but I'm thinking of upgrading to deluxe dining. I have a six year old how does that work with his credits are they 7adult credits and 7 kid credit or 14 credits? I just used 7 as an example. I guess I'm just asking if they are together or separate. I'm confused with deluxe.

:offtopic: I'm going to put my two cents in here. Living is great and a necessity (duh). But, you know what? I believe you "buy" experiences. You don't rent them. Experiences make life worth living. That's how I was raised. I feel bad for these people who feel like they do everything in their life just to keep up with the Jones' and say "what's the point, worry about real life". My first trip to Disney with my family was in 2004 when my son was almost 10. To this day I can tell you all about that trip and he can, too. It brings a smile to my face just thinking about it. But I couldn't even begin to tell you what I bought material-wise in 2004, if anything. He and I went to Vegas last fall, his first time. He'll be able to tell his kids when he's my age "I remember the first time I went to Vegas with my dad...". I'll remember those, and other "experiences" like those, the rest of my life. My DW had never traveled until we got married. No weekend trips, nothing. Lived in the same house her hole life, same old same old. She's not going on this trip, but now one of her stipulations for letting my DS and I go this trip was that she and I still do our weekend trips through out the year. LOL She looks forward to them, makes life worth living. In my opinion, if you don't "do" Disney or other experiences like that, you haven't lived life.
I feel similarly to you, a friend of mine lost her 4 year old son last year to a pediatric brain tumor. I have a son just one year younger and it really put things into perspective for me, that life is truly short! And I'm a believer in that you can't take it with you when you go! But, with that said we decided to go on trips (we celebrated our son turning 4 in MK last year!) and take him for ice cream late at night when we really probably shouldn't. Ha! We play more games, build more towers and go to the park a whole lot more than we did before. I get chills thinking of taking him on his first Disney trip last year and seeing him light up, I will remember that for forever! We are fortunate that we are taking another Disney trip this fall, and I can't wait to make more memories! Life is short, just go to Disney!!

Wow, this jumped about 5 pages!

Sad to see people having issues with TAs. I would highly suggest to not book with a TA that is advertising a promotion that hasn't been released by Disney yet. I've been seeing that around and I can only shake my head.
As someone posted, these agents do that for bookings and may not have your family's vacation first on their mind. Not to say that the agents aren't capable, just to be weary of any that tout FD before it's dropped.

I agree. I really get into planning family trips. Doesn't have to be expensive. It can be as simple as planning a few days at a state park. (Indiana has great state parks!) But what really rocks their boats is when I say "Let's do Disney". I have fun planning the basics, like rooms and ADR's. They jump in when its time to create the FPs. FD is nice when I can get it, but it doesn't stop the show. The memories we make are priceless, even on a budget.

With DxDDP, everyone gets 3 TS meals per night. We've been told here on the DIS by multiple people that DELUXE credits are not separated into adult and kid. However, the brochure does still state that kids must order from a kid's menu where available. There are a lot of people who have not followed that and been fine. You need to do what you are comfortable with doing.

Here's what mine looks like. View attachment 229265
Not sure what all that "quick service", "child", "adult" business is about.... But I don't have the code you have.
I don't think that the code would bother me so much but when I've asked a couple CMs about it they get standoffish. Then they both asked me if I was from Florida even though I just had to give my address for verification purposes and then wanted to transfer me to dining to make reservations even though my ADR window doesn't start for another month. Idk Very strange

Is anyone able to confirm whether or not TAs can apply package promos (ie. Free dining) online, or if they have to wait until 7am and call in to do it?

My TA said she'd be up at 5am working on bookings online. I guess if something goes wonky with the site, she'd then have to wait til 7am to call it in.

I'm most looking forward to 'Ohana, Biergarten and Boma for food.

I'm really looking forward to seeing my 2 year old at Tusker House, and Trex(he's OBSESSED with dinosaurs.)

We have a family vacation to the beach coming up the week of July 4th, our disney trip isnt scheduled until September. I honestly think I'm more excited for disney. Its hard to be super excited when you have literally been planning it for 1.5 years:)

Also, ya'll will appreciate this. I am a stay at home mom to a two year old. Prior to this I was a teacher. Well, my old school called me up a week or so ago, and asked if I could do a maternity leave sub position to finish out the school year. My mom will keep my son, so no childcare costs. We upgraded from CBR to Beach club(bring on stormalong bay), and we still have enough going to savings for some upcoming expenses. I'm super excited about it. Except this means that I will now be working, meaning staying up to check for FD is going to be TOUGH. I don't start working until 4/13. So if its 4/10 I'm good. but the other two are going to require lots of coffee throughout the day for me to deal with 25 8 year olds. And then it'll probably require an 8pm bedtime for a couple days to recover:D

Hello friends! I've been stalking this page for weeks and think it's probably time to introduce myself! I am Stacie and I am a Disney addict Booked our family trip a few months ago for this September at CBR. This is our 3rd Family trip but this time we have added two sweet little girls to our family and are also bringing our mama's along as Disney helpers! I have NEVER booked before free dining came out. Never ever knew there was a page that stalks it. Ha-- This is so exciting! I have always been a last minute Disney planner. I am slightly nervous being out of my comfort zone and having a trip booked but with such a large group (7) I decided to book earlier than normal, already added the DDP regaurdless but hopeful!

:welcome: Welcome to the insanity that's otherwise known as the FD thread! :hyper: Yeah, the one that Pete keeps saying people need to calm down, that one. :rotfl:

I am really hoping that once FD comes out I can stop obsessing over our trip until it gets a little closer. I get myself so excited then I get so sad because 163 days seems like FOREVER!!

Each member of your party can get 3 table service meals for each night of your stay. We did the DDP for many years. We recently stopped and went to DP because it really is way too much food. By the end of our stay we were all so sick of seeing food. Way too much food!

very happy with the TA I used last year. FD did not work out for us so I booked with a TA that has Disney exclusives. She called me at night so we would talk and answered all my questions. she mentioned she was setting her alarm for 4AM the morning FD was supposed to drop so she could book for clients. she e-mailed me 24 hrs before ADR and FP+ days as a reminder, not that I needed it. :-)

the price was not as good as FD but within the budget I had set and cheaper than booking a trip directly with Disney. would use her again.

@Wojodis you mean that "(TBX)" by the plan? I have the same thing on mine.
