Has anyone gone after the dining plan change? I am wondering if I can swap my drink for a side or dessert?

Also have to add in there had been some talk before about tips and many ppl do not pay tips at buffets or if they do it is not as much as if you went to a sit-down and order, food delivered to table meal.

I am unsure. I do know someone said they had quite a few water and milk or juice bottles because with the Mug they would get drinks for the meals at the resort and saved the drinks for later. I would like to know if you can change drinks for deserts.

I haven't been since the change, but from the few reports I've read, it seems like most counter service places are not allowing the swap anymore, but some people have had some luck swapping out their drink at their resort.

We love Columbia harbour house. It's prob one of my fav QS. I'm gonna get beat for this one but I thought BOG for lunch was just meh... the ambiance inside is beautiful but I thought the food was just ok. Just my opinion though:)
I completely agree with you about BOG for lunch. The food was just ok, but it is beautiful inside. I made a lunch reservation for this year's trip and plan to send my DS and DIL because she loves Beauty and the Beast, and my DH and I will go try out Columbia Harbour House. I want a lobster roll!!

I loved BOG's breakfast and lunch, and Columbia Harbour House was great. I don't see the pull for using a table service credit for BOG dinner when you can go for a QS. I'd save it for Akershus or something. But that's me...can anyone explain why it's worth the TS credit?

That's the same for us. We save money even paying for the dining plan because of all the character meals our kids want. I also would rather not spend the time waiting in long lines to meet characters if we can just see them while we are eating.:)

I agree!! Trying different restaurants (esp character meals) is a huge part of the experience for us. It also gives us 4 time to sit, relax, and reflect on our favorite parts of the day!! But to each their own:smooth:

Our family of five needs the downtime too; its sorely needed after rushing around the parks :)

For the "worth" of a restaurant and whether or not is extremely subjective. There is just the straight up numbers of something being less or more money but what defines "expensive" is what the individual or family places on it.
Someone said they don't understand 2 credits for BOG dinner. To me, because characters are a big deal in our family, it is worth it just so we can see Beast. That being said, I think that and the fact that it's in the park are the only reasons to upcharge because I can't really eat much from the menu.
I prefer dinner with food I enjoy lol

That's good to know! I'm not impressed with BOG food either and I agree that the ambiance is magical ^_^

The Beast is there at dinner, and you spend a longer time absorbing the atmosphere I guess

Isn't BOG just 1 credit?

We do all of our character pics and autographs at meals, we rarely wait in lines to see them in the parks. Though only my 6 yo cares that much about characters, so if there's one we missed at a meal and she wants to see them, I will take her while everyone else does another ride she can't do. It saves A LOT of time.

Does anyone else think that Disney can't wait much longer until FD is released due to the fact that there is NEXT TO NO AVAILABILITY out there for pretty much any time (exaggeration of course)? I'm thinking even 3 weeks seems a long time to wait. I'm sure that rooms are being held back, but if I were just starting to look for an end of year trip and I found so many restrictions;I would probably give up! I'm sure they don't want to scare people away.

The menu is different at dinner with more expensive options, it's table service (unlike breakfast and lunch which you order yourself and find a table) and most importantly, The Beast is there as a character. He doesn't appear at breakfast or lunch.
