Just a thought but might be encouraging that they're stringing out promotions for summer. May be having less traffic than usual... Could be extended FD dates in the fall to compensate??

Question about the Visa card holders - do you know how those individuals are notified? Will Disney send me an email with the offer?
I don't know for sure. I'm Canadian, so we can't get the card. I've read here that some people are notified and others aren't. Hopefully someone else can shed some light on the ins and outs of that. :)

No deals for me. I'm already booked with the Savory Summer Offer (1 CS per person each night) and with the value resorts only getting discounts on preferred rooms it would cost more and no free CS each night.

I just did a comparison. My same room type, same resort, same tickets, same days of the week in June instead of my booked vacation in Sep. It's $200 more with the summer discount than with my non discounted fall vacation. Are the summer prices really that much higher, or have prices gone up that much since I booked (last Oct)?

I'm afraid that if I have to rebook a new vacation for FD it may not really end up "free". I hope it doesn't sky rocket. We've all got our hearts set on POR and TS.

With the new magic band system, if free dining starts a day or two after we arrive can I still book free dining for most of my dates and a room only and still use tickets the first day or two? I believe the Savory Summer Offer required ticket purchase, so buying more to keep that offer and free dining wouldn't make sense.

Worried FD dates won't include my 8/24 arrival

depending on the date that FD starts, you could do a RO for the first night or 2 that you need to check in and then FD for the rest of the trip. No dining credits until the FD start date. You can pick up your park tickets early once you arrive but won't be able to make any FP+ for the RO nights until you activate the tickets when you arrive as the tickets would be part of the FD package

Am I wrong in thinking FD might not even be offered in August this year? I feel like this current promo is running well into the end of august but in the past I think "summer" discounts ended mid August? With FD picking up the end of August. Would they have the FD start in August as well? I am a little down, I have been reading park attendance to be "low" even though the wait times I have been seeing on the app are crazy, so I thought maybe a good deal would be coming about.
And the room discount from Poly seems..well..kinda crappy! Only theme park view is coming up as discounted, hope if FD is announced it includes standard rooms there

I think the last week of August will be included in FD. We go the last week of August every year. Crowds are very low this time of year. I can't imagine them not offering it. Plus the bb started Aug. 11. That's as early as I've ever seen it.

Hi everyone, I currently am booked at POR from 8/17 9/2 in a standard room. Would I have a chance of free dining with a standard room or should I switch to garden or river view? Last year I noticed you had to have a park hopper? Should I add a park hopper too? Thanks very much!

you can pick up the tickets that are part of the FD package a few days early but you won't be able to make FP+ in advance for those days. once you pick up and activate the tix you can then make FP+ for the RO dates

Anyone else notice the Hawaii offer for Passholders has a mistake? January 2- March 24 2017, Purchase through May 4, 2017. It's been driving me crazy looking at the special offers and seeing the mistake.

I thought if you book with Disney and have tickets you can book your Fastpasses 30 in advance. I would guess that they would be linked to the second reservation (package) and would only be available to book those dates within the package.

Well with all these new offers, I still come out on top with the 1QS meal per day deal. With any of these new offers, my 6 night stay at Pop with 7 day park hoppers and Reg DDP for my family of 4 (Me DH DD15 and DD14) comes to more than $4400. I am currently booked at $4000 for the same package with the 1QS meal per day discounted against the Reg DDP. I am still hoping for free dining but happy to have some sort of discount.

Can I add the room only discount to my trip and still modify it online to FD if it is available?

Interesting that Disney seems to be offering a lot of club level only discounted rooms with this recent release. I'm just hoping I get SOME sort of discount for our trip the beginning of November, either free dining or a room discount. We are traveling for the Wine & Dine 5k/10k/half so don't have much flexibility on travel dates - have to involve the first weekend in November.

On edit, I checked Yacht Club availability for the hell of it and if you arrive August 31 (the last day of the offer) all rooms/views are available for the discount. But then September is slow anyway with schools starting back.
Unfortunately room discounts differ in that your dates MUST fall within the dates of the promo, unlike FD where it depends on your check in date.
So checking in on 8/31 would give you only one discounted night

60 days for FP+ if you stay onsite. Yes the tickets would be with the FD package so you would be able to book FP+ 60 days in advance of check in for the FD package. cheaper to add the extra days to the tickets with the package. When you arrive go to Guest Services at a park and ask them to activate the tickets from the package and then you would be able to make FP+ for the non package days.

Ahh, thanks. That makes sense and wasn't aware of it.
