When FD comes out if you change aka modify your reservation to take advantage of the promo you are charged the new ticket prices anyway.

I've seen several people mention ticket price increase. I just book this week. Did tickets increase before this or will I also have to pay a ticket increase when modifying to add FD??

Yup, we are leaving from Manchester on the 24th, almost the same price but the return on Sept 2 is 313.[/QUOTE
Yeah, I find that with Southwest at times for the return. The prices for mid to late August look much better than July.

I found that Delta was cheaper than Southwest but they also don't have a straight flight so you do have to change planes. I don't mind changing planes if it saves me some money.
Yeah, I will pay more to get a nonstop, just my preference.

Tickets increased early Feb. You should be fine.

Regarding FD, what has been posted is "if you don't succeed, try, try again." Apparently, some folks were able to get what they wanted a bit later on, after things shake out....but....many still say the 4 a.m. people do have a better chance.

Last year I was not able to go to Disney but I still watched FD and played around with it after it came out. As long as you had some flexibility with dates and/or resorts there was quite a bit still available. Sometimes I think this thread stresses me out too much. Lol

My experience is from 2014 so keep that in mind. When I booked mine free dining was already out. I goofed and thought I booked for 9 nights and 10 days with 10 day tickets. I really purchased 8 nights and 9 days with 9 day tickets. I called and they added on the additional night and ticket day without issue.
very important to keep that in mind. Thank you very much. :yay:

We were able to get resort we wanted (POR) last year a month after fd dropped. We were waiting on hubby to pick vacations. (He picks for the year in late April/early May). We are booked at POFQ right now so we could do dining today hoping dh can get the week when he picks. We know we will probably have to move for fd and that is fine hoping for either POR or Pop. Last year we ended up switching to assp to save money and It wasn't worth it.

when you price any airline, you should do it under the "incognito" setting on your computer. For some reason, the airline sites store info of you checking already and each subsequent time you check the price goes up. I read this on a travel site once, and it's true.
What is incognito setting? Is that an official term I can google?
*edited to add - figured it out.

It's good to hear that you got POR last year. That's where I'm booked. I'm keeping the dream alive that it will all work out and I'll get to keep this resort and my dates. You help my dream to live on another day.

Prices went up in February. If you just booked you won't be effected.

Does this mean there is an expected announcement soon?

Only rumors. The most consistent rumor that I've seen is it may drop the first week of April. Current offers expire March 30 so the prevailing thought is they'll drop shortly after that. Even my TA thought they might drop as soon as the first week of April. Historically, they haven't dropped until the last week of April.

I did the same and agree. Same experience. I thought there is no reason to stress and then all this refurbishment and rumors of no free dining comes along to freak me out.

We got tickets for $ 325 for July Disney trip, but that was from a diff. state, RI. Staying at my cousins before we go.

I've been flying BDL to MCO for 10 years now and have never paid more than $200 RT non stop, usually less. My best fare was $128 RT a couple of years ago. Paid $168 RT just 2 weeks ago 3/6 to 3/11.
