Hi Disneylover99!!:teeth: If you check the CBR website under details by the notice of construction it mentions that guests of CBR will receive a $75 gift card per night of there stay (1 per rom) upon checkin! I was wondering if it applied to guests already booked too, but it doesn't mention that you had to already have a stay booked at CBR! What do you think Disneylover99?
Sounds like @Cbtexan04 might be right! :thumbsup2

Ugh! That's frustrating. You try to be pro-active and you end up losing out. What resort did you move to?

So frustrating :badpc:
Especially when I booked cbr in June 2016 when they first came out.
We moved to Pop. Which we have stayed at before and I do like it. I was just looking forward to trying a mod and if we were able to get FD with it would have only cost about 300 more then pop. Which wasn't bad at all.
i really wanted the queen beds

I couldn't find the answer to my question anywhere- We have 10 nights booked mid September at CBR. I phoned yesterday to confirm we would get the $75/night in gift cards. We do not have the dining plan on our package as we only intend to use it if we get free dining. I read that if free dining is announced it is bookable online starting (last year) at 4am. What I'm wondering is if I booked a second package online on the day free dining is announced then cancelled my other one, would we still get the $75/night gift cards? Or is that $75/night only for those who had existing reservations prior to the construction announcement? I do not have the option to modify my res online. Any insight is appreciated!

Everyone should note that the standard rooms for CBR in the fall seem to have little-to-no availability. The pirate rooms for my specific date run ~$285 a night, or $210 (before taxes and fees) per night if we subtract the gift card from the room cost. For the same price, I could stay at a different moderate without construction.

Where do the FD deals and dates actually come out? Is it on MDE?
I usually watch the site under special offers, and it's usually pretty quickly announced on mousesavers.com. THe boards usually suggest some dates that it may be announced, to help out with narrowing it down.

Thank you. I did see that section under MDE but where on mousesavers does it come out, is there someplace special to look?

I think it depends when you are going. Standard and water/pool still available for my dates in November.:) With the new discount it may fill up faster though.

So I called Disney this morning and asked about the $75 a night gift cards. I was planning on staying at CBR anyways as we don't generally use the food court, spend most of our time out of the room and in the parks and as a family of 5 I can only choose between POR and CBR. The gentleman I spoke to said it is for ALL guests. Those booked previously and bookings going forward as long as your stay falls into the construction period. Needless to say I booked a standard room 12/11-12/22 :) There was still a great deal of availability in early and mid December but the weeks around Thanksgiving were already booked with the exception of a few more expensive rooms!

I kinda have a similar question. The $75 promotion is still there on the website. I wonder when FD comes out, and IF it includes CBR, would one be able to take advantage of both the gift card and FD?

Based on this, is it safe to assume that the gift card would still be available even when FD comes out (if it applies to CBR) as long as the booking dates are during the construction period? OR, perhaps the gift card promotion lowers the likelihood of FD at CBR?

Interesting... DH and I are considering Sept or November trip and need to book in the next week...we usually book POFQ with a BB but skipped WDW last year and now need to figure out a game plan which is of course driving me nuts (he is so laissez faire about it all...)

All speculation of course, but I would guess the latter. Looking at the availability during September and October, it seems that the $75 gift card offer will be enticing enough that they will not need to offer further discounts.

The cast member I spoke to when booking said YES I could take advantage of both! I just called and booked a package this morning so I know it applies to the new reservations as well. I had seen it circulating elsewhere that it was only previous reservations so I wanted to call and confirm. I am worried it will change the FD offer for CBR though since it might fill up!

GF and FD would be awesome!:joker:

I generally wait and book around FD but I figure worst case at least at this point I will have $825 in gift cards if we don't get FD. I was worried with the lack of availability at CBR in November that if I didn't book something quick all the standards would fill up once the word of the $75 a night gift card got out ;)
