I highly doubt they are all booked up. Nothing was showing at any of the mods for my dates expect for the higher priced rooms. It was really picked over. Yet almost every third party website I went to (Orbitz, Expedia, Undercover Tourist) had Standard rooms at every moderate. I don't think the Disney website is an accurate reflection. I think rooms might be held back for promos, people are booking reservations they don't intend to keep, resellers have rooms.. there's quite a few factors. If it's not a hugely busy time period, there will be something.

But if I can't book it through the website then I can't get free dining. Orbitz or Expedia having it doesn't help us we have to buy a package through Disney. I wasn't talking about crowd level or anything. Specifically talking about chances of getting a moderate with free dining.

Hi all, been following along for a little bit now and decided to jump in with a question. Apologies if this has been asked/answered already. Is the "change reservation" button the same as the "modify" button? We have a week booked at CBR and it has that "change reservation" option. Wondering if we'll be able to change it online to get free dining if offered our week and still keep the $75/night gift card offer? Or would we need to call in to try and get the offer?

We just booked mid December for CBR standard less than a week ago. It was through our TA but it wasn't through any of their promotions. I believe he just booked straight from Disney, but I dunno.

Yeah I saw some a week ago too. But not now. At least not for 9 nights. That is a factor to. With less nights maybe. We've decided we are going to stay at a value now no matter, even if it only saves a small amount so I won't have to worry about it but it will be interesting for FD for sure.

I apologize if this question has been asked/answered and I somehow missed it, but can you do the 2-day PH with your reservation as required and then get discount tickets elsewhere for the rest of your days? We are usually one park a day people, and this requirement is new to us since the last time we had FD in 2014. Thanks!

Yes I believe you could do that, but check the numbers because I think it would end up more expensive that way?

Does anyone know of a thread on this topic for last year? I've tried to search but haven't found anything. I thought it would be interesting to read what the thread was like just before the release. I wondered what the "heads up" looked like. I also thought it might be fun to see people saying what they got.

Guys, the wait to contact Disney on the phones has been a rather long as of late.
Granted, most Sunday nights are rather busy.
Not official, just observations.

When I looked on CBR a few weeks ago there were only pirate rooms available. So I called and the CM said there were plenty of preferred rooms left. She didn't know why it wasn't showing up on the website.
Anywayz, I recommend calling if you don't see what you want on the website.

I think the point being made was if 3rd party sites have rooms avail for those dates, then Disney should too.
I posted above that the website showed only pirate rooms for CBR when I wanted to book, so I called and they had plenty of standard and preferred available.
Worth calling.

Yes you can, but very expensive. You might want to consider saving your two day tickets for another time. You can always upgrade them to more days when you're ready to use them.

Ok then I have another question for ya!!
The day FD drops, if I click modify then search for the promo... if it's not available for what I have booked now do I then get to choose another room type? Because at that point I need 3 rooms (I have a 2 bedroom now). Will I need to cancel my reservation and book another 3 separate reservations at that point?
Do I have to cancel my original one first, or will Disney let me make more than one in my name for the same dates?
Unfortunately, yes you will have to cancel and make news ones if what you have is not available but I do think you can have several reservations in your name-not sure.

Yay! People are stating to wake up. Although, I'm now getting ready for bed (10pm in Sydney).
:charac2::cat::worried:

I look forward to waking up to lots of good posts and perhaps even one with the news we have been waiting for! :hourglasspixiedust:

When I was making my dining reservations this morning I noticed my change reservation button is back! :yay:

I've never been able to modify or change my booking through the website or app since I made it a month ago. I had to call when I wanted to add an extra day and change the room type.
I wondered if it was because we booked CBR and they wanted anyone modifying to contact them via phone to double check they know about the renos?
Then I wondered if it was because I'm overseas?

Whatever the reason, I think I'm going to have to sit on the phone to secure FD as I can't do anything online to modify my booking.

Of course, presuming FD comes and it falls on the dates we're going.:tinker::confused:
