This Latin website (source: http://blog.viajeromagico.com/2017/04/05/cuando-sale-el-plan-de-comidas-gratis-disney-para-septiembre-2017/ ) made an interesting analysis. Basically saying:
  • it is likely that Disney will offer free dining in 2017;
  • possible release dates between April 24 and April 28
  • the promo would apply without black-dates between August 29 and September 30, 2017
  • no promotion in October (in 2016, only October 1 was included)
  • Free dining plan is also expected for the months of November and the first 3 weeks of December but with several periods black-dates
The following table illustrates the dates where free dining was announced (left column) and the dates it covers (right column). There's more reading to do on that blog for those of you who are fluent in Spanish and would like to know more :)

I hope those dates are wrong for August I arrive aug 24!

I'm good with that. I'm very new to Facebook but I'm sure I'd figure it out
We do a facebook page for our Cruise shipmates. I don't know how to do it, but she makes it private and has to invite each person who wants to join. It's really cool though, cause it's only for the folks who are going.

Schools are closed where i live and Government employees are off here.

A lot of spring breaks fall in this time however our district is not off on Monday. Our spring break was last week.

I'm not sure why the government would be off. It isn't listed as a holiday by the federal government. Private sector can decide what they want but government I thought had the same days.

We will get mail and most have to work.

If it's released Easter Monday maybe they will call it Stay, Play, HOP & Dine!
I kept waking up and was worried that I'd miss it because they change the name to something with Beauty and the Beast.

Does anyone else think dinner at La Hacienda during Illuminations is one of the best kept secrets in all of WDW? I know it's gaining in popularity but our family thinks is the highlight of our trips.
What time do you make your reservation? Do you watch it inside the restaurant? And do you ask for a window table. Sorry for all the questions

Easter Monday is a Federal Holiday in Canada. So any Federal employee gets the day off. Schools have the day off but many stores are still open.
It's not a federal holiday in Canada either. The federal holiday is good Friday. Monday is not a holiday in Ontario. I still have classes at college and my SO still has work but Friday he does not. The only ones off are the kids. Monday might be a provincial holiday in some provinces bit it isn't federal.

States can also decide what holidays to take off. When our spring break used to be connected to Easter we had off Cesar
Chavez day as well as Columbus day and not every state even recognizes Cesar Chavez day. Our DMV is closed for Cesar Chavez day well as other government offices so I'm guessing the state decided its a holiday even if its not a federal one. Now our break covers those 2 holidays and we only get Monday off for Easter when is rolls around weeks after spring break.

Its so different from place to place.

We want to try to do this. What time do you make the reservation?
We made the reservation for 7 p.m. figuring 2 hours was plenty of time. Illuminations is right there when you walk out, so it isn't like you have to plan for any walking.

So, here it is another Monday morning and nothing! :offtopic:When I got home yesterday I posted that I saw Beauty and the Beast, and didn't hear back from anyone, as to whether you all have seen it? I loved it, was totally captivated by it, and it put me right in Disney, wishing I had booked BOG for a meal. Has anyone in here seen it? Opinions?

The Canadian Federal Government lists Easter Monday as a Federal holiday but I know it is not always the case with some provincial and territorial governments. I know it's really not clear and kind of confusing!:) We are also in Ontario and the schools are closed here on Monday. I do not know if Colleges are closed here monday as my kids are too young for that and I am too old to remember when I went!:teeth:

I have seen it twice and I loved it. I'm not too sure about the new song additions but otherwise I thought it was fabulous.
