So is the new DVC Riviera Resort part of the Caribbean Beach Referb or will that be entirely new?

Look its simple supply and demand. Disney is winning that battle. They have proven that people will pay what they ask, so they will continue to do so. Complaining and arguing about it won't change the price. It is what it is. They have a premium product that people want.

It's not...this isn't "cable news"...

The intro to Econ first exam never was the end all (it rarely is)...there are huge dangers in price increases in frivolous spending such as vacations.

We do not live in a recession/depression proof world. Buy trying to churn more profits out of parks...this management could sink the whole ship down the road.

-New Meet and Greet Character event - a few were announced
Did I miss something?

I do not expect any new attractions to have an upcharge.
Like the rumors that if you don't want to wait hours in standby you will have to pay for maxpass to ride Star Wars rides in DL cause they won't offer standard FP (at DHS they will most likely be tier 1)

so, any guesses on where the Star Wars resort will be located? It'd be really interesting/smart if it was somehow connected to Galaxy's Edge.

my guess is part of the area being cleared for the new parking lot - which is right by the back of Star Wars Galaxy's Edge

Oooh I'm not sure. That would make sense but does the Riviera really tie into the Caribbean? I was having visions of Venice but they do call it the Mexican Riviera too etc etc. Anyone know if they mentioned WHERE this one was going?

They didn't mention specifics but yeah it's likely CBR

Wow! So many things actually announced! It was near the high end of my scale for "pie in the sky dreams". I guess with the looming 50th and strong competition from Universal they had to do something.

So does this mean CBR will be considered a Deluxe resort now or just the new DVC area?

And thank you everyone for all of the updates yesterday and today!

Ok in all seriousness I'm overwhelmed. There were surprises, there were tons of things we expected, and best of all, tons of new things!!! The only thing that my scoreboard had that wasn't covered was Brazil (unless I missed it; watched the periscope muted because I was in church, God understands why I did it in church and I'll talk to Him about it later :p). My only nitpick is a minor one: I hate the redesigns for the 2013 Mickey Mouse series and I'm upset they're using them for the attraction. I can see myself being fine with it once I see more of it/in person but that was my only nitpick. I need to catch up on California adventure because that's when I left church and ate dinner. Loving it all though!!!! :teeth:

The Brazil thing was NEVER happening...

This was way more than I thought they'd do...but the Brazil thing was fantasy
