Official 2016 Princess Half Marathon Thread

I got everything I wanted too, with the exception of a F! dining package. Those don't seem to be open for Feb at all yet. I'm going to call in at 7 and see if I can find out when they might open.

Here is my list:
Olivia's breakfast (we are staying at OKW)
CRT lunch on 5K day
LesChefs lunch on 10K day
BOG dinner on Half Marathon Day (I'm hoping to stay up for Wishes this night)
SciFi lunch on our fly out day

We got what we needed and more. The more was mostly so we could think about whether or not we wanted to do certain things:
Hollywood Brown Derby - Dining with an Imagineer
Rose & Crown
Be Our Guest (Dinner on Sat. then Breakfast on Tuesday)
Beaches & Cream (Linner? Dunch? Anyway, that's Sunday post race)
Ohana (Breakfast and Dinner)

We'll probably drop one Ohana and maybe one of the others. Still, I'm super excited!
 
Grr. I got Wednesday thru Friday all set, but not Saturday through Tuesday. We have a split stay and it used to recognize that and let me do the whole 180 + 10, but it is not now. I waited until 7 and called and was told they made a "magical enhancement" and it can no longer be done. I guess I will be getting up early tomorrow too. I am going to try calling DVC directly at 9, I have read on the DVC boards that some people have had success with this issue directly through DVC.
So fare I have:
2/17: Il Mulino for dinner
2/18: Boathouse for dinner
2/19: Be Our Guest for Lunch and Citricos for dinner.

I got a LOT of reservations made, but still have 4 outstanding. Grand Floridian Café seems like a glitch, bluezoo and the Fantasmic! package aren't open yet, but my 'Ohana breakfast looks like one that I'll have to stalk.

I've had it with the magical enhancements. I actually think we'd be taking a break from Disney because of a lot of frustrations with changes in the last few years if we were not still traveling specifically for races. After GSC 2016 I believe we will be waiting at least a year to return, unless a WDW Star Wars race is announced. We have a lot of DVC points to use, but we are actually borrowed out by about a year so we feel like it might be a good time to let those catch up.

But, we have said that before, and like I said a WDW Star Wars Race would have me there in a heartbeat.
 
Well, I got Akershus dinner, Boma dinner, BOG dinner, and 1900 Park Fare dinner. I too am waiting for Fantasmic dining packages to open up-- its so weird that they are not! I didn't get the CP breakfast I wanted or BOG breakfast. It doesn't help that all my reservations need to be for 5 people, 7 people, or 8 people! :rainbow: I tried going back to sleep for a couple of hours (I mean 3:50 am really??), but my mind kept going over the ones I didn't get, and what I should try to do next lol. The joys of Disney ADRs!:faint:

Okay, just so long as someone is making sure we take in some actual nutrition with our liquid dinners ;-)

Hey, me too! Though just in case they disagree with me, since I'm merely the Associate and don't have my own member card, I'll follow you in. :)

Come on in! Closer to this, if you want to, we can maybe find a place to meet up and head over to the corrals together or what not. I don't know about you, but it'd help me to know that I 'knew' someone on the journey over. I hope that that didn't come off all internet stalkerish....lol

We got fraud alert on our bank card- credit card not debit thank the lord- and I was dealing with that at 8am and completely forgot.....
 
I think I'm still a day early, my check in is 18 Feb and so today I can only seem to make ressies for 17 Feb. I guess there's some hope for me yet. lol. I was thinking Dine with an Imagineer, but I think those are not on Fridays.

I JUST realized why my dates are "off" and unavailable on MDE. I have two reservations and my longer reservation will kick in tomorrow. Must have been a blonde moment! But man, I woke up early for nothing! I did manager to get 1 ADR but it's for the least important one of our list. Ah, at least one is done. :)
 
DVC member services pulled through for me! They were able to override the "magical enhancement" the MDE and DRC were giving me that was not allowing me to make reservations for the second part of my split stay. We are a group of 10, so I need to get all my ADRs lined up ASAP. So I was able to add Via Napoli lunch after the 10k, California Grill for dinner after the half and Artist Point for our dinner Monday.

My sister and I plan to head to TOTWL the evening after the half. We'll go to dinner at CA grill, back to the room to put the kids to bed, and then head over to the lounge while our parents stay with the kids. I'm hoping we have a room like we did a few years ago. We had a GV that spanned the 15th and 16th floor, so we didn't have to go to the lobby to get to the lounge, we just exited our room and walked 50 feet down the hall. Nice:) The last two years I have been to CA grill for dinner after the half and I would say both years the restaurant had at least 1/3 maybe closer to 1/2 the tables where at least one person had a medal. It is cool to see!
 
@beachta1. My TM runs are always faster than outside...my thought is that I want to get off that thing, and I love being outside so I go slower!

Got my 10k time into the corral placement thing. It is from last Thanksgiving, and since they upped the cut off time I won't have a chance to improve it. I have no hotel or flight reservations yet.

Training should be better as the weather gets cooler..

Sorry, I headed to work after I called this morning. The CM I talked to said that she has no idea why the Feb dates are not in the system yet. She said that they usually are up already. She did tell me that they will update on the website at the same time for us as for them at the call center so just to keep checking.

Makes me wonder if they are planning some changes, or if Fantasmic might not be running when we are there. :-(

The plot thickens... :stir: Well I sure hope we get to see Fantasmic! and they're just slow on the uptake this month. I'll have to check the boards to see what others are thinking. Thank you for letting me know! :worship:

The Star Wars Season of the Force begins at DHS in early 2016. It includes fireworks... Fantasmic timing has to coordinate with the fireworks so maybe that's why they're not posting Fantasmic Dining until the schedule is set. The same thing happened last year when everything was held up due to SWW scheduling.
