Hello all--
Sorry to continue to ask questions about this, but what is the best type of race to use for a POT? I'm having a hard time finding 10Ks that aren't "virtual races" around Boston this fall and am not sure where else to look I'm starting to wonder if it's just easier to try and get in one of the faster no POT-needed corrals? Help!

Also, does anyone know what character their costume will be yet? Curious to hear what everyone has to say

i also recommend runningintheusa.com, they have a lot of races listed, and links to the race's website so you can look at all the info. You should definitely be able to find a few in the fall that you could get too. I definitely recommend submitting a time if you can.
Thinking aout Anna for a costume - but could change my mind a few times between now & then.

Ok, I feel ridiculous posting this, but I'm hesitant about registering. Can I really do a half marathon? Yikes! I'm just scared that I'll sign up and then not follow-through with training!

I'm currently running about 2-3 times per week, 2 or 3 miles each time. My plan is this: train for an upcoming 10k that will take place on Sept. 12. Continue to train on my own until the beginning of October. In early October, join a local running group's Half Marathon Training program that will conclude in mid-January. Continue to train on my own until the Princess Half. Doable? And if so, I'm going to need y'all to hold me accountable to this crazy thing that I'm about to sign up for --- ha!

Definitely doable!I started "running" again in April last year, did not get back up to a 10k until end of summer, then started increasing mileage. I started the training plan early because I worried I would miss long runs, I missed my last long run due to being sick, but ended up at 11.5 miles, I am slow and I do run/ walk intervals, but I finished and I was even able to stop for a lot of characters.

LOL! I have a doctors appointment this morning!
A real case of reg anxiety/nerves! This is the worst part of the races...

I have to take my daughter to a dr. appt. this morning. I really hope it goes quick!

Luckily I have my own (tiny!) office! I shut the blinds on the outside window, turned off the light and locked the door! Good Luck everyone!!

In trying to get a jump on registration to make it smoother....I started a registration for the Marathon race and even though my profile on my active.com account was accurate, when I started the registration process it had the wrong birthdate and wrong phone number. I was able to edit my profile so hopefully it saves so I don't have to spend time fixing that at noon!

The birthdate thing is super common - I checked mine a few weeks ago and my DOB was off by a day. Great way to have a heart attack in a few months when you go to enter proof of time or print your waiver and your name doesn't show up because your DOB was wrong!

They're available now and if you want one, it looks like they're taking orders through 7/23.
