Official 2016 HHN-26 Thread

Been wondering as we have a 5 PM reservation for the Repository house.. will they let us in the park after with the SS crew? We need to be there 1/2 hour before our reservation..

More than likely. From what I heard, UO is saying to allow 90 minutes for the experience, but I don't know if they are counting the 30 minutes before as well. So more than likely you will be done by 6/6:30 and by then the SS will have been released I believe. Would be silly to make you leave, especially since you need HHN admission to do the VR house.

I only remember seeing the nurses having them. The only time I bought one it was $5? It may be more now. Cash only. I didn't care for them, they tasted like cherry cough syrup. YMMV.
Robbie if you drink about 5 of them you end up liking them once you get a buzz

Think the most we drank one night was 3 each of them.........they did get better..........lol.........

Hi, looking for advice on HHN express vs. RIP tour.

This will be our first trip to HHN and we are going the nights of Sat Oct 1 and Sun Oct 2. I hate that we have to go a Saturday but it's our only option.

I cannot decide between doing the express pass for both nights, or instead purchasing the RIP tour on Sunday, and having no express on Saturday. The RIP tour would have to be on Sunday as Saturday is sold out.

On Saturday we will be at Universal during the day and would stay to wait for HHN to open. I thought we could maybe just take our time on Saturday night at HHN and take it all in, so to speak, not rushing around since we'll have been at the park that day. Then Sunday, sleep in, hang out and then go to HHN that evening with RIP.

Any thoughts on which would be better? Is it that awful on a Saturdy night without express?

Thanks!

Sounds like a great plan to me. It's hard to describe the sensory rush you get seeing HHN for 1st time.

Study the map and reports here, position yourself in holding area and go with flow to first open houses. Should be able to get in a couple before lines get really long.

Having RIP the next night takes the pressure off rushing around on Saturday, gives you a chance to stop & smell the corpses:duck:

Rip tours sold out on that Saturday before I was able to post my annual meet up sticky for Hhn

When a night sells out tours 48 hours after it is announced, I would be buying ep for that night

Yay we have a map. AHS and Exorcist were two I really wanted to do and I see that they are beside each other. It looks like AHS is near Minions, I'm looking at a regular map as I'm not really good with locations in Universal, now what would be the best holding pen for these two? Is there one near the front of the park? Or is more in the Hollywood area?

Those are the exact two houses I am excited about most! I asked a similar question earlier (which stay-zone should I stay in to be near these houses). Ever so wise @macraven told me though that not all of the houses open early for the stay and scream folks, and usually only 2 random houses open early.

I'm okay getting in line as I have a feeling AHS will be insane through out the night. I've never seem able to do a house in that location due to wait times, first year was Cabin in the Woods, which I really wanted to do but couldn't hang around as we had to catch a bus. Then we missed Freddy VS Jason due to the same reason so this year I'm making sure I am doing the house I really want to see. Those two and Krampus. Thankfully we're driving down this year so we can get in a long line at 11:30 and not have to worry about how we'll get back to our hotel.

When do you find out what houses open early for stay and scare folks? It's our first year and while I certainly don't expect to do every house I have 3 or 4 I'd like to go through.

When the event opens, we will read which houses are set up for opening first

The houses that are opened first will continue throughout the Hhn season

I'm past years it has been houses A and B and some years a house on the other side of the park near mib location

We never know if that pattern will always be true so we wait until opening weekend to find out

Fingers crossed it is A and B. I'm assuming if the one you want isn't open yet they'll allow you to line up for it right?

I'm the same as you avic77, I have my top few and then if I can do the rest then I'll do them. Unless we walk by and the wait time is very minimal, then we'll probably do it.

When do you find out where the holding areas are? Is when the event opens up I was figurin on doing A thru D first since 2 houses I want are there I believe it was Exorcist and TWD. .

More than likely the same holding areas they used last year

But figure that info will be known soon

Orlando Informer announced that DA would be open during HHN. I would think that would also mean it will be a holding area. Does anyone know if Leaky Cauldron was open when it was a holding area last year?

I have used that holding stay and scream area last year

The holding section is outside the DA area

Was not the best place to be for hitting the early opening of houses

Da stays open but closes before the Hhn event is over

Think it stopped the ride at 10-11:00 the night I did the ride during Hhn

We are going to be there for HHN on Sunday Sept 25th and were wondering if anyone would like to go in together on a private RIP tour with us. We have a group of 4 so need 6 more for maximum cost effectiveness. As I understand it the private tours start earlier and also have unlimited entry into the houses and rides so seems preferable to the general one if you can get enough folks to make it affordable. I would also be interested in joining someone's existing tour if they need anyone!

The private and non private tours are fantastic
Book soon either one as some nights (5 dates) sell out

Both tours are lead by a TM
Once your tour is over, you do not get unlimited entrance to houses or rides.

You are allowed each ride only once by ep lines

If you can not get 6 more peeps to join you for a private tour, book the non private tour , all 4 of you

Once you have 5 in the group the private tour is required if you all want to stay together in the same group

Wish you the best in having more join your group !
