So excited for the packet but overall I'm kind of meh about my excitement for this race. With Princess I was way pumped up by now but I don't think it's hit me how soon it is. Maybe it's because I have two races before I head out?

has anyone ever bought the I did it shirts from the expo? if so how much were they ? I need to give my friend some money as she"ll be there on Thursday, so I want her to buy 2 shirts for me. And I assume it's either cash or CC, no Disney gift cards correct

Oh good! I love the colors! I was jealous I didn't do the race last year cause the shirts were so awesome. I was worried I'd hate this years but I'm very happy with the potential I'm seeing!

yeah. The design on the program may well be the design on the half shirt.
the background is already seen on the ribbon of the medals.

I hope this is the case for the 10K. I see a purple background with pink flowers -- I would LOVE a purple shirt.

A couple pages back someone mentioned you could upgrade from the Half to the PDC through travel agents if they have bibs available. Does anyone have any experience with this, or know of any TAs that still have PDC bibs?

Is anybody here crafty? I'm trying/want to make Mickey ear clips for the weekend, but not really sure how to attach the ears to the clips to make them stand up straight in my hair. Any tips? I've done it on a headband, but wanted clips for the runs, b/c it'll be more comfortable wearing the them w/ a visor.

I did it shirts from the runDisney merchandise are about the same price as the other runDisney shirts. So about $35ish dollars. You can use gift cards because they are disney merchandise. You can also use disney discounts (i.e.. Visa/AP/DVC).
Also, an FYI. Any of the runDisney merchandise can be returned to the disney hotel shops with a receipt (preordered items as well, but you don't get the active fees back).

this is awesome info, that I can use Disney gift cards and get the DVC or visa discount, anyone know how much the DVC discount is? assuming the visa is the standard 10% over $50.

I am soooo excited! I cannot wait! I can't believe how excited I am for this race! Maybe its cause I'm "only" doing the Half so I'm not dreading the pain as much lol! But really I think its cause I'm coming back to Tink and she was my first runDisney race. I can't wait to be there!

I'm having a friend of mine make me a new running shirt for the race - the original shirt I ordered not only took over a month to arrive, but it's TERRIBLE. The vinyl lettering was peeling off and the shirt quality was just uncomfortable to wear (very itchy). Suffice to say, I'm now in panic mode - not for the 12:30/mile race time but to have something to wear!


Husband and I walked the course last night and the sections within Disneyland may be hard on the feet once you get to the brick. We weren't sure if along the Rivers of America if we'd be on the brick or not. Rest of the course looks great and very speedy.

Sorry, that was probably me... got sidetracked by getting ready for Star Wars Dark Side Weekend!

I bit the bullet and upgraded with Team Expedition Runner. They are on facebook.

So, it costs $35 for membership, and then you buy the PDC bib for $345 ($380 total).
Then, they give you a form to request a refund from runDisney for the 10k bib. Your refund is the $110 reg fee, minus $35 processing fee. You don't get your active fees back either.

If you want to do it, better hurry up. Deadline to register is April 17, and all of this involved filling out forms, paying by paypal, and getting a link to register on the active.com website.

Kind of gave me heartburn to pay so much to upgrade, but hey, it's Mother Day. I'm worth it. Lol.

I don't think it has hit my yet that the races are so close! My mom's ticket just came in the mail, though (part of the 10K bib I bought from a Travel Agent in early March) so we're getting there!

One more long run (Monday) and then let the countdown begin... My daughter, who isn't running, is so excited. She will message me xx days until we go. I am just going to wear the same thing as I wore to the Princess Half.

My plan is to do 8 miles tomorrow and then 4-5 miles the next two Saturdays. Eek!

You're all making so many wise choices when it comes to trimming down your running. Dumb me decided to run RNR Nashville on 4/30 and then do the Tink 10K on 5/7.

Will be doing some smaller 5K runs to keep my energy and maintenance current - but really just holding back and not going for any PRs on the 30th.

The reports on the Star Wars 5K this morning is that PhotoPass had more and better photos than MarathonFoto had during the 5K Marathon Weekend. I'm running the half this Sunday, so I'll report back on the quality/quantity, but have to admit that as an AP Holder, I'm excited for FREE race photos (at least at WDW - I'll be paying at Tink).

My girlfriend is in C. It is her first half. I will join her there.
Can't believe how quick it is coming. One more long run next week 16km, then just maintenance.
