"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

A little extra Disney magic for all of the die hard Hocus Pocus fans.... if you pop into the Emporium during a party night, you can ask to see Book and hold it and take pictures with it. A CM told me they also do salt circles, but we came at the very end of the night. I have an awesome picture but can not figure out how to post it.

To piggie back on this question, I'm curious if we could get our pictures for the entire day (9:00 am through midnight). I thought I really wanted to get the MM for MNSSHP, but after hearing about how hard it is to find the Photographers that can do the special shots, I'm thinking it may not be worth it, unless we could get all of our ride photos, etc., for that day. And if we could get it for the full day, do we need to purchase it in the am, or will the pics for the entire day automatically show as being able to be downloaded?
I did the 1-day MM for MVMCP last year and was able to use it for the whole day including at other parks. I can't remember when I bought it though, but it would have been either that morning or the day before. I am inclined to think it was the day before because I am sure I didn't go to MK before going to DHS.

I mentioned this on the Chaos thread. At the party last night we walked up to the open area by the castle for Wishes. A lady in a scooter screamed at me and my dd to move. We moved over, but someone else filled that space. (when we walked over it was dark and we did not see her) Any who.... she screamed at everyone in front of her for the whole Wishes show.

Not sure but doesn't Disney have a area for people in scooters? I thought at the time she should had asked a CM for a good spot so she could view the show and not have anyone obscure her view.

So a bit further back I posted about how i was pre-disappointed in the MNSSHP because we wouldn't meet certain villains, concerns about crowds, etc. Well, we went Tuesday night and it was GREAT! My kids had so much fun and we met the Witch from Snow White, Tarzan, Jane and terk, Merida, and saw the parade, castle show and fireworks! Thanks to posts on here I knew we would have to prioritize and it all worked out. We missed the Hocus Pocus show and we had to leave at about 1015 because kids were dragging. But it was SO COOL! SO much candy! The headless horseman! Spooky music! It was definitely worth it.

One minor gripe--and this goes for all disney things (actually, anything anywhere with a crowd) and not just MNSSHP--if you are even slightly tall AND holding up a camera/iphone/ipad above your head--then please STAND IN THE BACK and not smack in front of the castle (or whatever else anyone is trying to see--this happens at graduations, school concerts, etc too). Nobody (especially children) can see anything because you are now blocking nine feet of space.

Yes they do have some areas scattered around however very limited spaces and often as the fireworks get started non scooter ppl seem to swarm trying to get better viewing themselves it's sad but true, I know I've been literally pushed out of the way before.
It's hard to remember everyone's there to enjoy
And ppl can stand behind scooters and everyone wins but when you get in front they physically can't stand for the show or even at all.
Know you did best you could and that's great :)
Can't fully win that situation at times

Me too first I have heard of this opportunity! Surprised that they can do this since the Emporium always seems so jammed up on party nights! But we Certainly going to try to do this.
We were in the Emporium during the first parade on a sold out party night and were the only ones in there. Never seen it so empty before!

THANK-YOU!!! I have watched this movie every Halloween since it came out, I can't wait to see Book!

She was parked by the concrete planters, no way to stand be hind her. I guess she could had gotten a spot by the front of the castle that way no one could stand in front of her?

Here is Book in the Emporium

I did my review here earlier but I just wanted to thank everyone again for their help! I used this board to plan my MNSSHP experience and I got everything done that I wanted to. You really have to have a plan and stick to it! Hope everyone else has a great trip and enjoys the party events as much as we did!

So am I correct in the understanding that it is best to avoid the first parade? This is our first party and though my little one wants to meet J&S, I just do not think I want to waste time standing in line. I think her #1 priority (at this moment) is TOTing. My #1 priority is to make sure we see the HP show, parade and Hallowishes. We will be in the park all day...have BOG ressie at 4:15. After leaving dinner at BOG would like to have daughter's face painted at kiosk in Tomorrowland...that is my time parameters. She is going to be a mermaid, so picture with Ariel is priority also. LOL...I just keep adding the priorities...HELP! ;) Thoughts?

Hey everyone. Six adults going October 20th and after everyone’s experiences I’m trying to get my plan together. Do you think the following is doable?

-Get to the park by 4.
-Meet Rapunzel with FP+ at 4:10.
-Get in line for Jack and Sally by 4:30/4:45. Hopefully they continue to come out by 5 and we finish up with them by 5:45/6.
-Grab CS for dinner. Party starts at 7.

Now, here’s where I’m not sure. We want to see Captain Jack, Lotso, Cruella, Pooh Characters, and Minnie/Donald/Daisy, in order of importance. Any advice on when to do them? My thoughts were:

-Line up for Cruella after dinner, by 7. Hopefully done by 7:45.
-Line up for Donald/Minnie/Daisy by 8, done by 8:45.
-TOT to Tomorrowland.
-Meet Lotso, done by 9:30.
-In front of the castle for fireworks.
-See second parade from Frontierland.
-Meet Captain Jack.
-TOT some more.
-Meet Pooh and friends.
-See midnight Hocus Pocus show.

Is that way too much, because it feels like it. I’d appreciate any help on where to cut things. Thanks! :)

Where can I see the times for the hocus pocus show, parades, and hallowishes?

Where are face painting locations?

Your timing is a little off with that second half of the night.

There is about an hour between the end of the fireworks and the start of the second parade. Most characters are also done around 11:30, which is when the parade ends if you watch from Frontierland, so you wouldn't be able to get any characters in after.

With the classic gang as your lowest priority, cut them out and move everything up. Cruella -> ToT to Lotso -> Lotso -> Pooh gang -> Fireworks -> Jack Sparrow -> Parade -> ToT -> HP Show
If you can get in Cruellas line earlier (maybe eat in line, or make dinner quick), you might be able to get the classing gang in without too much delay. I have seen their line fluctuate anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour, so its hard to know.
