"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

EEK, your scaring me.

I was evacuated from 7DMT last May. It isn't as bad as it sounds, but they have to come around and use a big lever thing to stabilize the individual cars before passengers can get out. It is just a long process. We were stalled at the end by the cottage, which is right before the end. We were maybe 20 feet from the platform, but they still escorted us back up a small hill and around to a gate that emptied into the exit queue. It was interesting and no photos or video were allowed. I still got a few pics but it was dark so they were garbage.

Some of this is rather disappointing to hear. First night I hope is a learning curve?! Snacks should last well past the half way mark at least :P

I have no words. I'm just furious that Disney does this. If you're going to have a limited amount of something, designate a certain amount for EACH party.

I'm not even going to get my hopes up for the Hocus Pocus stuff online. I can only imagine how fast they'll sell out (not that they'll even have plus sizes ).

The Zero popcorn bucket is the same as last year. I was reading on one site (I forget which one) that there was a delay with this year's buckets for DL, and that DL was also using the Zero buckets to hold them over until the vampire Mickey bucket arrives. Not sure if it will also be at WDW. I hope so, though. I would like to add a new Halloween bucket to my collection. I already have Zero. lol

I'm betting that they weren't anticipating the size of the crowd that showed up tonight. Hopefully they will get their act together after a couple of weeks.

Has anyone been at Splash Moutain? The Lines app shows that wait for Splash is 5 min but Disney website listed it as closed at 7pm. Is it opened?

I saw some fireworks I'm just disappointed with myself and my camera. I'm still learning the settings for it. I'll figure it out by Friday.

Put it in Manual mode. Set the ISO to 100. Put the camera on a tripod, use a shutter release... It's pretty easy.

If you need help, go to the photography board, STAT!

I shall do that I'm calling it quits for the night. We have bags full of candy. I'll figure it out by Friday. I got some shots from the fantasyland to tomorrow land area on my phone that aren't bad of the fireworks.

It is 10:55 and we are sitting in frontier land waiting for the parade. Everywhere is at least 3 deep. We have been in this spot since after the fireworks. I have been spoiled in the past with low crowds in September. I have never seen anything like this. We have had a god night but it won't be the "best night of the year" like it has been in years past. I think we have been to first parties before. I was TOTALLY unprepared for this.

when i checked my MDE app on my phone at 1030 EST, it showed IASW wait time as 120mins. just now it's 95mins. i saw the tweets about the Hocus Pocus shirt AND the hoarder that bought 30. sheesh. very disappointing they're not producing more shirts for the rest of the parties. i'm also waiting to hear how the Dessert Party went for everyone. please keep up the updates!
