I don't know about the Magic Bands. However last year I was able to buy the special merchandise on the last party.

in 2012- I went for a SOTMK card at 11:30 and was told they were out of them.

oh i hope you're right! and i hope they limit only one per guest like you have to be at the party and present to buy it
also i plan on getting the card right as we begin the party!

On party days, your ticket will get you in at 4- what time do they start selling party merchandise (pins, tshirts, etc.)? I just don't want it to be like the Villains Unleashed at HS where I got in line at 5:30 to buy things only to find out they started selling at 3:30 (before giving out party lanyards) and were out of several things before I got to the register at 6:55! If I can be in line at 4:10 I will be. Thanks for your help.

The party card is one per hard ticket.

If there is an item that you REALLY want, get it when you can - don't wait to 'pick it up later' cause with some stuff once they sell out for the night that's it.

Last year I really wanted the zero ghost popcorn bucket but when I went back later in the night to get it all the stands were sold out. Luckily I went to two parties so I was able to grab it first thing the next party.

I've just heard rumors that some parties had sold out of merchandise early on in the month and then the later october ones had none

They don't start selling the party merchandise until 7:00.

They have trick or treat trails so you could tell him that they are holding the goodies aside to avoid messing up the streets.

On october 31st last year, all LE pins were sold out (AP and others) and many of the non LE pins. I was told the magic band was as well. I remmeber seeing very little merchandise choices. I did get a t-shirt though and a christmas t-shirt as well which was out for some reason.

On another note, I just finished writing my email to Disney about the Parks Blog statement of which characters would not be available to meet. If anyone else is sad about that, I encourage you to write too. Only way things will change.

Did you receive a response to your email? I emailed a couple days ago and received a message today on my phone! I was just curious if you had heard back. I'm going to call her back but I did think it was nice I got a phone call!

ok i have concerns after rereading some post about party merch probably not being available on my party date oct27th

i really want a party magic band i love how last years changed the color on the scanner (will they do that this year just curious) i was wanting one before i found that out today but when i did the need became more intense

now kinda worried i won't be able to buy one

im assuming they only sold during parties?

Magic Bands for the events haven't sold out in the last year. They've had them available to buy in the parks weeks and months later. Pins, on the other hand, are sure to be gone early in the party schedule.

Two years ago, I went to a mid-October party and the only Halloween party pins that were left ANYWHERE in the park was the mystery box pins. That's it, none of the "main" party pins (annual passholder or general guest) were available at all.

I'm not sure if they have a set place, but I've always seen them singing along the second parade's route in Frontierland.

Same thing happened to me and my bf. I had to call and have his ticket added to my MDE account. It was bought through my MDE account but didn't show up after purchase. He does not need an MDE account or to be linked. Do not set up a separate MDE account for him, that makes the process more difficult. Just give Disney a call and they will take care of it.

We have a party of 3. BF bought mine and his ticket through my account. Our friend bought his ticket through my account (we all logged in to the same MDE account to make our ticket purchases).

Only my ticket showed up. Neither of them have MDE accounts. Both BF and Friend were already listed under my "Friends and Family". I panicked and made a MDE account for BF thinking his ticket would show up there once we were linked. It didnt.

I called Disney and they said it would have been easier if I hadn't made a separate MDE account for BF but they were able to fix the issue within minutes. Now when I log into my MDE account, I can't make any changes to BF's ticket because he has his own MDE account. So I would have to log into his to make changes. I can make changes to Friends ticket because I didn't make him an MDE account. Its petty and confusing. So do not make another MDE account. Just call Disney and they will fix it.

I'm on the phone with Disney now and they can't figure this out! I printed the tickets out when we booked them and it doesn't have a ticket number like a MB or plastic card. This is so frustrating! hehe...
