"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

Disney Descendants characters at MNSSHP? Any thoughts or rumors? It's the "new hit movie" that my 4 year old loves.... and she would be so happy if they were at a dance party or something promoting the movie.

Don't think its going to happen. Disney did put out a line of clothes, mostly for girls, based on the movie. That's about it.

Nothing specific has been mentioned. My daughter is 12 and has watched it at least 15 times. She was on crutches for 11 days, and she slept on the couch because her bedroom is upstairs (plus she has a loft bed), so she had control of the TV most of the time. Now she's in a walking boot, so no more watching it in the living room. Lol!

I can certainly understand needing to entertain small children with rides and such as I suppose towards the end of the line the wait would be up to an hour and even more....but adults? Just curious as to everyone's thoughts on this.

The last thing I want to hear while standing in line is a whining or crying child. So if one parent takes the kid off to ride a ride or get something to eat, I'm all for it. In the case of these being adults, I have to accept the fact that they bought their tickets just like everyone else and if I'm going to be ok with parents leaving the line for their kids, I have to be ok with adults doing it too.

My kids were bummed that Jedi Training will be closed

Say what??? Jedi training is going to be closed? What are the dates for this? I heard about it being "reimagined" during the D23 expo, but I haven't heard anything about any closings in the near future. Is this a rumor or a certainty?

How does this sound? It's our first day of Vacaction, daytime is spent at resort and relaxing.
FP 3:30-4:30 jungle cruise
(Arrive at 4)
4:30-5:30 small world
Eat at CHH
5:30-6:30 haunted mansion

I know small world doesn't really need a pass but I am not sure what else to do, it's my daughters fav ride want to make sure she gets on in case it's a long annoying line.
Of course if I wait for jack and Sally will change things.

Sounds good to me. I would try to go on Small World and eat as early as you can just to have it out of the way. Haunted Mansion is a good way to kick things off!

CMs are saying the last day for the current JTA will be Oct 4. No word yet on the opening of the new version. Here is one of the posts with some of the info...

I looked at the menu and I think the kids would love it! Do you think we would be done eating before party time?
With party of 5 should have no problems getting out before the party. Note though that you will be giving up the chance to get in line pre-party for long line characters like the Dwarfs. Expect to be seated a little later than 5:10 but you may get lucky... Plaza usually seats me late. As always for quicker in and out look over the menu online at MDE beforehand and have an idea what you want, order food and drinks all at once, and ask for check early. I'm usually in and out in less than 45 minutes eating leisurely but I don't order dessert.

I can't believe I haven't posted in this thread yet! We are going to our first MNSSHP this fall, and even though we're three adults, my mom is so excited to trick-or-treat. We even bought our bags today (I know they give out bags, but these ones are huge and were only 2$ each at the Dollarama - yes they have a whole aisle already of Halloween stuff!)

I'm trying to plan our evening out the best, but it's hard not knowing a lot of the details, so I'm anxiously awaiting the first party to go from there.

Thanks everyone for all the good information, it's been super helpful! :)

I think this has been answered, but does Aurora show up at the party? I didn't even think about her not being in PFH anymore.

Thank-you so much for the helpful reply! I will keep searching for an earlier time but if we can't get one we will eat quick, or do quick serve.:thanks:

I have a question on timing. I think my daughters (both will be turning 5 during our trip) will really enjoy getting makeovers at BBB at the Castle. The only time I was able to get for our whole trip was at 6:00 pm on the evening of our MNSSHP tickets. While I think it will be cool to get them all made up in their costumes, I am worried that it will eat up too much of our time - especially if we have to wait awhile for our appointment to even start. Getting in line to see the characters isn't a priority but I do want to maximize the opportunity to take in the atmosphere since the kiddos probably won't make it all the way to the end of the party. Does anyone have any experience with how long a late afternoon BBB appointment might take on an MNSSHP night?

That Mickey and Minnie Halloween pin is already on ebay. :rotfl2: There's also Chip/Dale and Donald/Daisy Halloween pins.

How crowded are the main gates at 4:00? I have a FP to meet Rapunzel from 3:30-4:30. I definitely don't want to miss it. Would we be able to get in before 4 with our APs (with costumes on) and then pick up wristbands later?

Yep. There are multiple stations in the park to get your tickets scanned for wristband/bag distribution.

So i have a question. I've seen on ebay they are selling MNSSHP tickets for certain dates and what not. Can you do this? I always thought you could not get rid of the tickets once you bought them. Has anyone ever bought MNSSHP tickets from another person if so can you tell me how that went for you?
