"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

We're officially doing two parties...one will be more focused on the parade/fireworks and the other on characters and trick and treating. I have one goal though is to ride the Haunted Mansion during the party.

This is us as well. It will be years before we'll be able to get our big kids back for Halloween, so it's sort of a one time thing for us and we are doing two nights so hopefully we won't miss anything.

But this is my dilemma now: We have a 5:15p reservation for CRT (it's "tradition" to go there on DD's BBB night and it was the restaurant she asked for, so we can't cancel) and I've been looking for an earlier time, but no luck so far so I am trying to make plans based on what we know so far. At first I thought we would get in line for Snow and the 7D, then head over to Jack & Sally before going to the left towards Adventureland and meeting whoever is out there, then to Frontierland, Fantasyland, the circus and then Tomorrowland for those meets. But another poster said they meet Snow during the first parade and have lower wait times, so I'm wondering if I should take Snow and the 7D off the beginning of our route and start with Jack & Sally before continuing on with our previous plan and heading to Snow and the 7D when the first parade starts, if we aren't there already, before picking up our route where we left off.

I know the late ADR throws things off, but we don't really plan on doing rides (except HM, cause you gotta do HM at a Halloween party!) on this night, so the m&g's are our priority even though some of the lines will be outrageous. If we get to see the parade and fireworks, that's just icing for the night.

Our second party night will be focused on rides, shows and the parade.

Yeah! We have our MNSSHP party tickets for Nov 1 (arriving Nov 1 and doing the wrap around halloween/christmas parties:)). Once Nov 1 is passed, when will the Halloween decor be removed? My mom LOVES Halloween and I am hoping we will have more than Nov 1 to enjoy some picts with the decor:). TIA!!

Im assuming you want to do the character meets while your DD is dressed up from the boutique? If not (or even if so) I would move the jack and Sally meet to the 2nd party, get in that line before the party starts then you can devote the rest of the party to rides.

If you do that, I'd check the 7 dwarves line after your dinner on the first night, if it looks huge save it for the parade.

I'd definitely split 7 d and jack and Sally though.

Friend will be dressed as Aurora, so any chance will be able to meet her during the party?

Im not sure about during the party, but I'm pretty sure you can get her during regular Mk hours from 4-7 before the party starts. I'd check Kenny the pirates character times to be sure of her meeting times. I know she does Mk mornings at least.

The Halloween parade runs the same route as the regular parade, correct? Does it begin in Frontierland or on Main Street? We always watch the regular parade from Frontierland, so we will probably stick with that strategy for the party.

The parade will start in frontier land and end at main street.

I didn't know Snow White was with the Dwarfs. At MVMCP she was not.

They take them down overnight right after the last party. Sorry!

Thanks for the heads up! We will make sure we get to the park early so we can enjoy before the party starts :)

The urgency to get the Halloween decorations down sorta cracks me up. We were there last year over Labor Day and they had the Halloween decorations up already! In AUGUST! That is just crazy to me. The parties started earlier last year than this one, but still. You should not see Halloween/fall decorations during the summer!

Thanks for that info! I thought they all met together. And do they meet in front of the ride or was I dreaming that too?

In 2007 they are came out and took photos together in front of the Snow White ride. It was really great. At the time I had no idea that it was not normal.

I don't know how it's going to work this year, but just to give you a timeline of last year:

MNSSHP ended on Oct 31, not Nov 1.
Nov 1 was a Sat and evening EMH, so fall decorations were still up at MK
Nov 5 was the Frozen castle lighting and the Christmas decorations were up.

...so you might have a couple of days following the last MNSSHP, but not much.

The 7Ds meet at the "castle wall" in New Fantasyland. It's not in front of the ride...kinda beside it? The walkway in front of the ride would be too narrow to accommodate a M&G.

Who knows where they'll have Snow White this year. If they do Princesses + Villains (please do this please do this please do this) I would assume they'd do that in PFH, but who knows with Disney anymore. I would love to see the Frozen sisters kicked out of PFH (temporarily for the parties) to make way for the villains!

We are so excited about MNSSHP 2015! I thought that I remembered a post about the earliest time that you would be allowed in the park with the MNSSHP tickets being 2pm but all I am finding now is 4pm. We do not have regular park tickets. Can someone tell me the earliest time that we would be allowed in? Thanks!
