"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

How long does it take before parties start to sell out? We are trying to decide which night to go 10/31 or 11/1 and would really like to see EasyWDW's preliminary crowd calendar first. It should be up within the next ten days.

It would be extremely rare for any parties to sell out in the next 10 days.

Looking for some advice - October 31 or November 1? We'll be there both nights, so either can work. Oct 31 sounds fun to actually take the kids on Halloween. But will Nov 1 be less crowded since it is after Halloween and, in theory, the locals will have gone on Halloween?

We went on Halloween in 2012 and it was awesome. Something extra magical about it! I've heard a lot of the locals with kids don't go because their kids want to do things with their school friends (this comes from a friend who lives in the area). She also said it's expensive!

Sunday, October 18th or Tuesday, October 20th for the party? Is one date better than the other? :)

Am I correct in thinking that you do not need a Magic Kingdom ticket only a Halloween Party ticket to attend?

Yes, for all those who complain about the price of the party tickets, for our family, it saves us money. We normally get 1 or 2 day park tickets and a party ticket. Of course, our trip is planned around the party.

We will be there during this time as well. We never even considered Friday because most dissers agree that locals come out in droves. I would think Sunday would be less crowded since it is a "work/school" night. And we are going to get our tickets at the end of June/beginning of July.

We are going on Sunday and Thursday since this will be our only chance to go with our big kids. We aren't interested in most rides, though we will throw a few in there; we're going for the m&g's, magic shots and parade along with a little trick-or-treating. The kids want to do the dance party as well, so there is plenty to do over both nights.

Hope you guys have fun!

Cool! I looked at Sunday night too, but we are arriving Saturday afternoon, and we are heading to MK first thing just to ride, ride, ride and see MSEP, and I don't want 2 late nights in a row at MK. Not with a 5-year-old anyway....haha. Pretty sure we are gonna stick with Thursday night.

Did you all take notice that there is a brand new stage villain stage show this year? By the write up on DPB it sounded that way. Today I got a Disney Passholder email that specifically says, "brand-new stage show featuring the Disney villains".

I hadn't seen that! Thanks for pointing it out, looking forward to finding out more!

I'm kind of happy about that. The show made very little sense, though I did enjoy the red queens solo at the end.

I'm happy about a new show. But I'll miss the old. Wonder what new villains will be in it? Hans of the Southern Isle? Darth Vader? Bowler Hat Guy? Ursula? I hope the old show villains stay too!

Bowler hat guy I could see since he's been out recently. I don't Darth Vader, think he'll be kept solely within the sw realm. Hans has never been seen so doubt it, no idea why though, I think he'd have a Gaston like following.

I like the Ursula idea though, she could be a gigantic figure and maybe she could be the show host.

Wait, Bowler Hat Guy from Meet the Robinsons??? No way! Where has he been seen? So awesome! Such a great (and underrated) movie.

We will be attending our first ever Halloween party on October 25th. It'll be me, dh, 11yo ds, 7 yo dd, and my mom. We will only be there for 5 days, so we want to make the most of our time! I am so excited to meet some characters that you don't normally see!!!

Both will sell out. I'd pick Nov 1 and do resort activities on Halloween.

What kind of resort activities go on Halloween? Right now we have tickets for November 1, we usually do 2 parties but Halloween night is so expensive.

Also, I'm pretty excited about your costumes. I love carousel of progress.
