"Official" 2015 MNSSHP thread

I've finally caught up on this thread, wow it's exploded. But do not remember seeing anyone mention the live feeds by the Disney Park Blog of tonight's party parade and fireworks. I'm going to watch, should be interesting to see how crowded it looks.

Wishing you good luck on the webcast. They were scheduled to webcast the 4th of July fireworks from the Magic Kingdom and the link was never posted on Disney Parks Blog. Also, the website crashed and it impossible to log on. If you can't access the webcast, try a search on youtube as that's where the 4th of July fireworks were shown.

Watch ‘Mickey’s Boo To You Parade’ & ‘Happy HalloWishes Fireworks’ Live on the Disney Parks Blog Sept. 18 at 8:35 & 10:00 PM:

Well, you don't know if it will change because no one is giving Disney the chance to correct it at the next party before they are jumping on the "lets email Disney" bandwagon.

However, if people DO contact Disney ahead of time, their party may not be as bad. This is DISNEY, not some newbie company. It's the first party of the year, not the first party ever.

I don't know how many of you remember some earlier parties from early 2000 or 2001. My DW the my DGF went to MVMCP in 2001 for the first time and we were given wristbands and told that from 6-7 Tomorrowland Attractions would remain open and we could stay there while they ushered out the Day Guests with out party tickets. Doesn't this seem like a better plan than trying to kick out day guests and let in party guests??? Maybe the number of attendees has grown since then I am not sure

Really??? It says it is a separate ticketed event. if this were the case why would there even be parties. On select nights there will be different fireworks and a different parade and additional characters. Disney wouldn't charge for the event. Just the fact that it requires a separate ticket makes it exclusive

Yes, really. Exclusive means shutting out all others which this event does not do. To be exclusive, they would need to close the park and re-open for ticketed guests only. Therefore, it's not exclusive. Just like EMH is not exclusive to resort guests. Once you're in the park, no one is checking your tickets to see where you are staying.

I was ther as a non oarty guest in 2012, when it got close to 7 we were constantly asked for wristbands, we could not enter a store or a ride without showing one. As we made our way to the exit we were checked maybe every 100 feet. They absolutely do have the ability to keep more non ticketed people out. We knew to leave and were not trying to sneak a stay at all, but as we went it was a friendly but steady pressure to go right away. They would smile and say have a good night etc. While motioning down Main Street. I thought it seemed pretty effective.

Honestly this whole thing is bumming me out I hope that by Halloween the party is managed better....then again it's good not to have super high expectations in case it is not, then I can try to still have a great time!

They publish their closing time as 7 pm on party nights. They don't say "7 pm unless you're already there." So yes, they do say they are closing the park (to everyone except party guests), and they are failing to do that.

Are they selling pins already (before 7PM)? If so, were they checking for MNSSHP wristbands? Enjoy your party. Looking forward to your review.
They were! They did the other night as well. I believe they were I didn't buy any this time.

We're getting a spot for round two and watch the costumes come in. We saw a haunted mansion bride and groom.

So, you don't see anything wrong with not buying a ticket to a hard ticket event, and just sticking around and participating in party activities, which are exclusive to MNSSHP, then? Duly noted.

Apparently there is no difference between a hard ticketed event and EMH now guys, you heard it on the Disboards first!

Darn it my husband is going to kill me for paying for an optional event.

I'll be curious how the fireworks are handled tonight. The day stage show fireworks fall out ended up on the crowd which is always fun. Lol!

Yes they do. Well I know they used to ask to see your KTTK card before getting on a ride and people were not allowed on rides.

EMH only pertain to attractions and not all attractions either I guess some food and shops are open as well

When we've done evening EMH they've always been checking where we were staying to get on any attraction. Then again I've never been to EMH that were wall to wall people either.

October park hours have just been updated on the Disney site, surprisingly, before they updated the TA site.
