Official 2013 MVMCP Information

DD lives in Orlando and it was 65 degrees yesterday. Cold for Floridians - Uggs weather!;)

:offtopic:I know that I started an off topic subject....sorry ;)

So is 65 the day weather or evening? if it is day did the evening get chilly?

We're here now and the nights have been chilly enough to need a sweatshirt or light jacket. Yesterday was so cold because of the wind. We are from Ohio and were freezing at park opening.

I'm not sure what the temp was during the day here in Massachusetts but if that is the cold we get down in Florida, I'll take it.

The weather forecast has me worried mostly for MVMCP night since we will be out late. Day temps don't worry me at all. Put me in the sun on a 65 degree day and I'm happy.

Can't wait.......1 day and 1 sleep.:cheer2:

At about 10 this morning, one of her friends posted it was 59 degrees. But the eastern cold front also affected Florida. Predicted in the 80's this weekend.

In WDW in January, I wore capris and sleeveless shirts and only needed a light jacket/sweatshirt in the evenings. I had taken an LL Bean jacket but only needed it when we returned to Central CA's 40 degree weather...DD had told me to bring a jacket for the evening...she forgot to mention "light."

It's disappointing to hear all of the pins will be sold out by our party. Especially since you know people are just buying them up and throwing them on Ebay.

Does anyone know if there are any other Christmas pins in the parks with the year on them? I don't think ds will care if it says MVMCP on it, I just know he'll want a pin that shows we were there for Christmas of 2013.:)

just looked at ebay, they are on there!

65 would be lovely for us too! coming from Seattle area we've been in the high 40's, bringing layers for night time though and gloves :thumbsup2

The resorts also have dated Holiday pins. I have a Boardwalk pin that has Happy Holidays 2010.

I was able to purchase the MVMCP Mickey/Minnie pin on eBay for 9.99 w/$2 shipping. I didn't think the price was that bad and I really wanted the pin with Mickey/Minnie to commemorate this year's party.

Thanks for the responses.:)
I think we'll stick with one of the Holiday resort pins. He collects resorts pins every time we stay somewhere new so that works for us!
I checked Ebay too, and there was one for $14.00... but it was $18.95 to ship it to Canada:rolleyes2.

Has anyone tried to buy MVMCP tickets online in the last few days? I've been trying to buy them on disneyworld.com for a couple of days now, and it keeps telling me it's unavailable, and error occurred, blah blah blah...I know it's not just for the date I want either, because I've tried other dates and none of them are working! Maybe I should just call? :confused3

I would just call. I had to buy mine over the phone the day they opened ( I don't think they were up online yet) and it was quick and painless.:)

I'm going to the party on December 8th, so I guess the chances of being able to get a pin are pretty slim. I am very upset to hear that 2 of the pins are already sold out, and after only 2 parties. If that's the case, the rest will probably be sold out by next week. I think it's really poor planning for them to have such limited quantities of an item like that, and allow them all to be gobbled up so quickly. Either make more, limit how many people can buy, or set aside a certain amount for each party date. I went to a MVMCP in early December 2011 as well and got a pin. Things must have changed.

Are any of the parties sold out for the first week of December? Trying to decide if we should buy before we get there or wait.

Anyone going to tomorrow's party? I know it's raining but I have a bunch of friends working it, so I'm still going to keep my tickets. Just wanted to see if any Dis peeps are going to be there. :)

Not happy to hear this or with the thought of having to buy my kids' souvenirs, for a very expensive ticketed event, on ebay after the fact (at an inflated price) because TPTB either Scrooged-out on inventory or didn't feel the need to manage their "exclusive event merchanise" inventory appropriately to accommodate more of their guests.

Looks like they are starting to sell them on eBay already. I would bet that people in the first couple parties bought a bunch to sell for a mark up for people who go later or to collectors. Maybe they should just put that into an add-on for the ticket price so they can be reserved for people attending later parties.

Ya this makes me a little sad. I'm not a collector so it won't ruin my event but for the kids.....sigh.
I snoozed and missed the Disneystore.com sale of the recent Alex and Ani castle bracelets. I hope I can get one while I'm there. Bet those are on ebay too.
I guess that is supply and demand of people. Too bad.
I like your suggestion of the add-on/reserve for the ticket.

Hoping someone can help me out with a couple of questions.

First, is there any difference between the Very Merry Liberty Tree Tavern dinner and the regular Liberty Tree Tavern dinner?

And secondly, does anyone know if Peter Pan will be open for the party once the refurbish is finished? I noticed it wasn't listed on the current party map.

Thanks

First post here, long time Disney goer though. Live in Miami.

Anyway last year I went to MVMCP Friday, December 14th. The place felt pretty empty. There were plenty of people watching the parades and all but we waited in almost no lines for any rides and this was a Friday night. Is this typical? We got to ride space mountain twice. Just walked out and waited 5mins to get back on!

I ask this because I am planning on going again on Friday December 13th this year. Not sure how far in advance we should buy our tickets and wondering if that Friday was just some fluke. The weather was good that day last year too. Anyway any recommendations on whether the time to buy a ticket is now or if we should be ok for another week or two.

Thanks!
Glad I found this site. Going to look at some more stuff now.

Peter Pan should be open as of today and will be open during the party. The first MVMCP Guide Map was only for Nov. 8 and 11...probably because it would be updated for Peter Pan.

The two "meals" are identical. Peter Pan was open again tonight for the party, with an average of a 25 minute wait all night
