You made it through a difficult month !!!!!!

I think it is a girl power thing and I can't wait to get out and run it.

Thanks again! Yes, I am ready to go. I am undertrained, but I will make it across that finish line with 24,000 of my closest friends!

I'm so excited you guys!

I'm coming in still on a high from Tink and I can't wait for a similar fantastic experience at Princess!

I have a question regarding a different race with hopes maybe some princesses have done it before. Have any of you participated in the Rock'n'Roll half marathon? Thoughts on it? I'm debating visiting my uncle in Seattle and running in that one... But I wanted to know if any of you had done it and your experience/atmosphere! Thanks :)

I have run rock n roll Denver and st Louis. Well run races. Lots of people. Music was a bit spotty. SL especially had long stretches with nothing. Both of them were pretty courses and perfect weather which was nice. The after concert was so-so. No big headliners at either race. I would definitely run them again!

Regarding Rock n Roll - we're running Chicago and Vegas this year. Heard good things about the runs so we're going to give it a try.

I love that etsy seller...such cute stuff! You will rock it.

Thank you!

PS - for the person who just posted the Belle & Ariel costumes, which Etsy seller is that, can you say on here? I absolutely love that running gear!

They're from iGlowRunning

We actually got them today. Last minute, I had asked if she could fix the skirt so it had the pickups like Belle does. She didn't respond so I wasn't sure if she was able to. But she was! They turned out soooo cute and fit perfectly!!

Thought I would share my race outfit. I have enjoyed seeing all the cute outfits. I can't wait!

Very cute running outfit dismikki!

Anyone else compulsively checking the weather? Checking the weather locally to see what my driving conditions will be on travel day, checking the weather in central IL & St. Louis, MO to see if anything will come through that could delay my mom's flight, checking the weather at WDW hoping and hoping I'll start to see the numbers drop some. I know these numbers are not reliable or necessarily accurate at this point, but I just can't stop myself! Wish I could convince myself to calm down since it's out of my control anyway. I have so many stress zits and my complexion is normally clear!

I ran the Rock N Roll STL last year and you are right there were some pretty long stretches of nothing. It was a bit cold at first but was perfect for the run.

What day are you driving down? We are driving down Thursday from Jefferson city. Its looking like it will be cold and Rainy when we leave here but its looking so great there.

I'm going on Friday, but I'll be leaving from south MS. Warm in the 60s, but chance of showers. Should be a quick 8-9 hours hopefully. I've made that drive from St. Louis before, feels like forever on the road from that neck of the woods. Hope your trip goes fast and the weather holds up well.

I'm not an expert... but the advice I've received from veteran runners is to taper. If you've done 2 runs of 10 miles or longer I think you'll be fine. Better to concentrate on getting well! Maybe a short run on Wednesday or Thursday if you are feeling good?

Sending you Get Well Wishes !!!!

If it was me....I would rest up and drink lots of liquids and not worry about your long runs this weekend. It's taper time and you will do fine. Just get better before your long flight to WDW.

If you've done 10 and 11 miles, you're ready for the race. I would not squeeze in a long run that close to the race. It will probably hurt you more than it will help. Once you feel completely better, I think it's OK to resume your schedule as planned (that is, do your short runs).

I'm sorry that you feel so bad! Drink lots of fluids and rest. That's what you need. Good luck recovering quickly.

You will lose more by pushing your body while it is trying to fight what ever you have. Rest and if you feel like it, try a short slow run to loosen up your legs mid week. I had the same thing in 2011, day before my last LR, two weeks out from race, sick in bed. I did a short slow run mid week before the race and finished fine. More to that story, but I finished with a good time.

Thank you, I will concentrate on getting better and stick to a couple of short runs, if I feel like it... See you all soon :cool1:
