For those who have run before: how quickly does the temp rise during the race? I think the high for Sunday is around 75 depending on which site you check. I'm used to running in 40-60 degree weather. Im trying to figure out if i should wear the long sleeve shirt that looks better with my costume or the short sleve shirt with a throwaway sweatshirt over it for the morning. Any advice would be great. This is my first half and first pre-dawn start.
I would go with short-sleeve for sure. 50s or higher I race in shorts and short sleeve/tank. I might be cold for the first half mile, but I warm up pretty quickly. Plus if you have been running in cooler temps, you might find the warmer conditions a bit tougher than usual since you are not as acclimated as you are in the summer. Costume or not, I would err on the side of having a more comfortable race!
I dreamed that the TSA took my custom inserts out of my shoes and took them apart and I kept saying, but I can't run without them. If you take them apart they won't work! Guess what I am going to be worrying about until after I'm through security on Thursday!

I hope this feeling doesn't stick come Sunday morning.
