Official 2011 MNSSHP Party Planning Thread ..BOO to You and You..Happy Halloween!

I think we chose to have them delivered, because I think there was a charge to print them at home. I'm sorry, but unless I intend to turn them around and resell them, I refuse to pay a "convenience charge" for THEIR convenience.

Oh if there is a charge then I will just pick them up there. I just figured if I was going to buy one at a time paying delivery x5 would be silly. Thanks.

No charge to print at home or pick them up. Only charge is if you have them delivered. If you print them at home they have the MNSSHP logo on them, if you pick them up or have them delivered they look like normal park tickets.

Going this year on 10/30 for our second MNSSHP! We are two adults with no children, one of us has a serious dislike of Halloween in general:scared1:, and we had an AMAZINGLY good time last year. Can't wait to do it again this year.

This is our first trip to WDW for Halloween!! We will be there from 10/6 to 10/12 and will go to the MNSSHP on 10/11. I am also psyched to go to the Food and Wine Festival (which will be my second time!)

If you have a package, can you request the tickets be included with the rest of your package details/materials that are sent to your home?

Hi everyone! Just found this thread!

I am super excited about going to Disney this time of year. This will be the first time I have been there for the Halloween festivities so I am thrilled! I am still deciding on a costume. DH will be Clark Kent turning into Superman. :lmao: I am still lost!

Your DH had a great idea. I hope it is a very light costume. FL is hot during October. Last year was worse than the year before for the mid October dates we go to.

Still undecided if we are going or not, would really love to, but am wondering if it would be worth it because my twins will be 5 and usually in bed by 9:30 at the latest. So this would only be 2 1/2 hours before they would be over the top tired and then be up for RD the next morning? Also not real keen on packing costumes along with everything else. Would love to be convinced to go!!! Anyone have kindergardeners that were able to stay awake and enjoy themselves?

If they have a restful late nap, do you think they might be able to make it through the party? As for light & easy costumes, you might want to consider some of Disney's costume tee shirts & add a hat or face paint: http://www.disneystore.com/disney/s...tee+shirt&D=costume+tee+shirt&Dr=pPublished:1

i agree on the nap we have gone the past three years to DLR and our lovebugs have stayed awake the entire time (started when youngest was 2), there was so much to see and enjoy. But as soon as we hit main street they were sound asleep.

I love the t-shirts may have to order a few just for a quick shirt (custome) to wear at the parks.

My mom and I did matching T-Shirts from Zazzle last year, they had the dragon from Sleeping Beauty on the front with Halloween Party 2010. On Mom's we put a crown and The Queen on the back, and mine said The Princess and a tiara. We went the first weekend in October, and it was SOOOOOOOOOO hot that we were SOAKED and glad we didn't do anything more elaborate, but we took advantage of all the picture opportunities... especially in front of Cinderella's carriage!

Do you have any pictures to share of the shirts? It sounds really cute!

What time zone are you coming from? If you're traveling from the west, this can work in your favor.

I've got little ones who are usually in bed by 8:30, but if we nap them in the afternoon and have a relaxing day, they can stay up for things pretty late. Plus, it will be earlier in our home time zone and we're going to the party the first night we're there before they are "adjusted"

We have breakfast, then swim, then a light lunch, then shower, then nap, get ready for MNSSHP, MK gate at 4, & stay until midnight. We live in central times zone. My kids are in bed my 8:30 at home but if we follow our PRE-MNSSHP plan then the do well. The next day we all sleep later almost to 7:30a.m. :rotfl2:

The part I would be concerned about is making rope drop the next morning. I would never try that. Rather than take a short day the day OF the party, we take a late start the next day. It would probably be best to do both, but we don't like to take that much time out of our park plans.

We did a hard ticketed party once with ADR's at CRT around park opening the next morning. My daughter was 6. We ended up leaving the party around 10:45, and even then it was frustrating to see how much we had to walk right past without doing. And getting everyone up and out the door early the next......... was hard. And she looked very tired in all the photos we took!

I wouldn't worry about it. Home rules are different they will be so excited. DD went to Universal at 10 months and her bedtime was 7ish back then. She stayed up till about 9 or 10 that week. Sometimes we had to hang at the pool for a bit after the parks to wind her down.

As for costumes, just don't go overboard. I think DD will wear her Tiana costume but really it's not that much to pack, we are only staying 4 days. I'm pretty sure her clothes and mine will all fit in my large Vera duffel that is a carry-on.
I say do it!

Yeah, for the day of the party we're going over to walk around Fort Wilderness a little and then just chill at the hotel for the rest of the afternoon. We intend to rest well and probably sleep in late the next day too.

Sure I say that now, but I'll probably be up right at 7:00 regardless of how tired I am. Too much adrenaline whenever I'm there!
