Hotty Toddy Ole Miss Fan Checking In......McCool the came to play this weeked a well deserved win!!!
but always a fan win or loose!!!

Testtubes and kaguilbeau:

You know, I am not even going to be able to watch the dang game live. I will be at the FSU v. Georgia Tech game in Tallahassee, which also starts at 8 pm. I have to go to that game because I have tickets, and it is parents' weekend. I would much rather be in front of a TV somewhere that night.

I am still having a hard time processing what to expect for UF v. LSU. I know LSU had to pull out a win at the very end of each of their last two games. I did get to see the very end of the Georgia game on Saturday, and I was stunned that LSU was able to score a touchdown when it did. I am impressed that this team does not give up. As for the Gators, Urban Meyer has been very quiet about Tebow. Hopefully that is so LSU doesn't know who to prepare for, and not because Tebow can't play on Saturday.

From what I have heard, LSU's offense is not too impressive so far this year. UF's defense is impressive. UF's offense is impressive when Tebow plays. I think LSU's defense is OK. So, to me, what happens on Saturday will come down to how the Gator offense plays, and whether LSU's defense can step up. I wasn't real impressed with some of UF's offensive play calling against Tennessee. If Tebow is out, I would expect a real simplistic game plan, and I'm afraid LSU's coaching staff will see through that, and it could be a long day for UF. Even if Tebow plays, I am afraid that UF will be real conservative, and that could be a problem, too.

All things considered, I think UF has a better team. Whether that is enough for them to get out of LSU alive is another story.

One thing is for sure, we will know how it all turns out in less than a week. I hope it is a good game, that no one gets hurt, and that the zebras stay out of it (i.e. no questionable excessive celebration calls- right Georgia fan?)

I really felt for the Georgia fans at the end. When they came back and scored, they thought they had everything wrapped up. No doubt the excessive celebration call played a huge part in the outcome of that game.

We were at a soccer tournament - made it back to the hotel room in time to see the fourth quarter!

If I were really good at uploading pictures, I'd love to take some at the LSU vs UF game for you just like you did for the UF and FSU game. Those were so interesting to see.

I've been a bit quiet on this thread recently because I've been traveling a lot for work the past two weeks....BUT, I am REALLY excited about the FL vs LSU game this weekend. I hope it is a good game! It can be tough escaping Death Valley with a win, in particular when the Tigers are ranked 4th. Go Gators!!

I had to watch the game on my Iphone - it was only shown on ESPNU where we live - but still got to watch - Hotty toddy!! This will weekend will be fun - and hopefully a win. I had bought tickets to the BAMA game in March but got bumped when espn picked up all the SEC games cuz ole miss sold them all to ticket holders - but at least can watch that one on tv.

Wow, it's time to kick-off another weekend of college football already. Tonight, it's Nebraska at Missouri. I know BRDof3 is a Nebraska fan. Any predictions? I saw some of this year's Nebraska v. Va. Tech game, and if I recall correctly, Nebraska was in that game. I am rooting for Nebraska tonight!

What a smorgasbord of football we have coming up on Saturday! I would love to see all of these games:

B.C. at Va. Tech (I will pull for the Hokies in this one)
Auburn at Arkansas (WDE!)
Georgia at Tennessee (Go Dawgs!)
Kentucky at S.C. (I guess I'll go with SC on this one)
Houston at Miss. State (got to go with the SEC team here)
Alabama at Mississippi (I think I want Bama to win this one) and, the biggie:
UF at LSU (a big Go Gators here!)

Unfortunately for me, I will be at the FSU v. Georgia Tech game on Saturday night in Tallahassee, and I won't get to see the Gators game :( Urban is still being evasive about whether Tebow plays. I don't know what to expect.
If I am understanding things correctly, the odds makers are saying FSU is favored in its game. Have these odds makers watched FSU play this year? :scared1:

Oh well, no worries. There will be a lot of good games to watch all day Saturday!

Packing the MH and heading for BR when Mr. Testtubes gets home from work at 3:00 this afternoon. The rain gear was second only to the tickets to be packed! The MH will be crowded with family, friends, and extended family if the weather does not hold out. The rain is not going to deter anyone from coming for THIS game. I am preparing most of the food at home but DH will still be lighting the pit on Sat. for the pork roasts and drunken chickens.

I sure hope that it is not a blowout like it was last year. If I'm going to be sitting in the rain, I sure hope the Tigers play hard and give me my money's worth!! Good luck to all and safe travels for those who are going to the games this weekend. Love college football and WDW.

I hope that you have a great time at the game, and I hope that LSU plays great. But, I am still pulling for the Gators. This game will define the season for each team. I think that this is a chance for the Gators defense and for some of the lesser known players on offense to shine. This game will show us whether Urban Meyer deserves his reputation as a great college football coach.

May the best team win.

Go Gators!

If any LSU fan wants to share photos, but doesn't want to mess with the process here, please let me know. I will PM you my email address, and I'll be happy to post the photos for you.

Hey BRDof3- Congratulations on the Nebraska win! That came as a total surprise to me when I saw the score this morning. I watched through about half way through the third quarter, when Nebraska was losing 9 to nothing. Neither team could make a first down to save its life. It looked like Nebraska was toast, and that neither team was going to score again. What a surprise that Nebraska scored 27 points in the fourth quarter! Nice job Mizzou D! What the heck happened?

TCD,

When you're in Tallahassee Saturday night leave a little early and see if you can have a one-on-one with Bobby B. Tell him we thank him for his service to college football and to FSU in particular and would he please retire at the end of the year? The Athletic Department could put him out on the speaker circuit shaking hands, raising money, telling stories, and he'd still be around the program. But he needs to go this year. This is getting sad and I'd like him to save what dignity is left.

Bama ED

OK, Cornhuskers. I don't mind seeing you improve as the game goes on, but please try not to wait until the 4th quarter to generate any offense. You'll get your hat handed to you that way.

That being said, I do understand that the weather sucked royally. Just try to even things out, huh?

I'm happy that TN beat GA for 2 reasons.
#1 for the players (I'm not a Kiffin fan.)
#2 I won't have to listen to TCD put TN down this week.

However, my husband said I am not allowed to watch football with him anymore. I always feel sorry for the team losing and begin cheering for them. I can't help it. I haven't kept up with GA players in several years, but I think Mark Richt is a class act. :cheer2:

I'm looking forward to the FL/LSU game later this evening.

Okay Bama disposed of Ol' Miss. They certainly do have a good defensive line - probably second best we'll face this year (maybe if we play Florida in the SEC Champ I would rate their defensive line the best).:cheer2:

Auburn went down to Arkansas (I went to the Bama - Ark 2 weeks ago and Ark played tough D so I wasn't suprised). Georgia played awful againt Tennersee. And the Ol' BallCoach pulled one out over the Wildcats.

It's a rainy, cloudy Saturday here in Alabama so it's a good day to watch the games. They say Tebow is cleared to play - I hope they let Brantley play some. Wouldn't want Tim to get hurt again.

Bama ED

The Tebow/Meyer Show continues. Brantley will get a chance next year I guess. Florida ran the ball up the middle so many times you'd think LSU would've caught on to that one. LSU also killed themselves in penalties. They stopped Florida several times on 3rd and long only to have a facemask or other penalty. Still, Florida didn't just march in and stomp em which I predicted because LSU has a good team.

I was glad to see Tennessee got the win. Although after LSU just squeeked by Georgia last week, I was surprised at the margin. Bama Ed says Georgia didn't play well - or did Tennessee play really well? I never can tell!

Congrats to the Gators for beating LSU. It wasn't the game I was hoping for (thrilling, etc) - but at least LSU didn't get beat by 51 pts. The crowds on campus were recordbreaking. Not only did the stadium have an all time attendance record, but the basketball arena was open for fans to watch on the big screens.
