Carol, at least when we all actually go to the Furman game, we have a chance to win that one....geez, this season is getting as hard to watch as last....:confused3

Got to be at the Florida vs Mississippi State game. Was alot of fun - got to see Tebow play.

And thrilled that Ole Miss won.

Wow! It was a weekend of close games (Alabama v. Tenn.) and upsets (Clemson v. Miami), and the Gators are getting me worried. The defense looks great, the offense not so much. Timmy needs some receivers.

UF v. UGA this week! Go Gators!

Cool! Although that was hardly a great game for Tebow.

Do you have any insight about what the heck was going on with the two teams almost brawling before the game and at the beginning of half-time?

I don't like the lack of discipline and grandstanding that I am seeing from my Gators. Miss. State did strip that interception, and if the Gator player had been taking care of business instead of showboating, it would not have happened. And, once again, the replay officials failed to fix an error on the field. What's the use of replay if bad calls are not going to be fixed anyway?

I share your concerns on the Gators, TCD. They don't seem to be playing with any sense of urgency to me. It is as if they expect things will just happen for them to repeat, like the games do not need to be played. I honestly do not see them repeating as SEC, not to mention BCS, champs playing this way.

Well at least Ga didnt loose this weekend.......But there is this saturday:scared1::scared1::scared1:...hate to say it Gators by 36.....

Tebow Doesn't need any teammates. All he needs is a center to snap the ball and he can do the rest. Dontcha know it's the Tebow Show. Oh and Urban too.

Donnie you are worse than Yankee fans booing arod.....

A late post on the Bama-TN game (kids have been on the computer alot with homework and I've had only a little DIS time).

By now things have calmed down after the 10RC game. The Bama offense continued to struggle but defense and special teams came through. I've been going to games long enough to know there really are 3 aspects of the team (offense, defense, and special teams) and one of them can have a bad day but the other two can carry a team. Such was the case.

Lane Kiffen did not disappoint either. His postgame comments on the Vols radio network about conspiracies (cue the black helicopters) were a joke. The headsets not working, the penalty flags, not knowing the rules about what happened at the end of the game, all were just priceless. However, the SEC Commish, Mike Slive, did put a price on his comments and fined him for the 2nd time this year. His little meltdown lasted into Wednesday. Seems to me he oughta worry about playing the Ol' Ball Coach this weekend - you know SOS is looking forward to this game.

Bama has an off week before we play LSU in Tuscaloosa. Should be interesting - LSU plays Tulane this weekend; their game against Aubie was an improved performance for them so they must feel like the offense (especially) is on the upswing. Think I'll watch the Cocktail Party in J-ville this weekend too. :happytv:

Holy smokes! How did it get to be Thursday already?

Another weekend for college football.

Virginia Tech is playing tonight!

Boise State plays tomorrow night! Against Louisiana Tech? I think I saw them play earlier this year. Boy I would love to see Boise State loose.

Two games I would love to see on Saturday are South Carolina at Arkansas. The Gators play SC next week, so I am interested in seeing how they play after last week's loss to Tennessee.

The second game I'm looking forward to is LSU at Bama. Florida will play one of these teams in the SEC Chompionship (mispelling intentional). I hope it's Bama, but I don't know. Bama couldn't score a touchdown against Tennessee. I don't know what to make of that.

FSU at Clemson could be a good game, depending on which FSU team shows up. Will be it be the team that pounded BYU, or the team that has stunk the place up in subsequent games?

Even though I would love to be watching some of these games, I will not be able to.

I am heading to Gainesville to watch the Gators win their 9th game this season.

Go Gators.

War Tebow!

War Meyer!

War Brandon Spikes!

I'm actually going to a football game this weekend!!! Can't wait!! Going to Auburn's Homecoming!! Pulling the camper down to their RV field!!

A couple of firsts for me. College football game and boondocking!! We'll see how much power Jen and Chris's generator has :-)

My son asked me if the elephant was Alabama's mascot.

I hear 'Crimson Tide' - and the battle cry 'Roll Tide', but how does the elephant come into play here.

Is it sorta like Auburn being the Tigers and having an Eagle fly to mid-field pregame?

I already asked that Auburn question, and if I understand the response correctly, it was something to the effect that the Tiger was a mascot, but the War Eagle was a battle cry. So that Eagle that you see is not a mascot- it's a battle cry. It still looks like an Eagle to me, but if it works for them, what can I say?:confused3

The Elephant at 'Bama, I have no idea about. He doesn't look like a Crimson Tide to me. But then again, I'm not exactly sure what a Crimson Tide is?

It's not just the Alabama folks who are guilty of this, though. The University of Miami's team is called The Hurricanes, but they have a giant chicken running around their field. :confused3

Gotta love college football when every game really starts to count for something. We will be watching the LSU-Alabama game with much enthusiasm! Good luck to all this weekend and sure hope the best team wins.
Love college football and WDW.
